We enjoyed very much our stay. It is a great location, close to beach access and within easy walking distance to great restaurants and ice cream shops. The beds are comfortable, and the open floorplan was ideal for our family of five. That said, there are some very easy lifts the hosts could do to make it a 5-star stay.
I didn't notice in advance that sheets and towels are not provided, but I strongly encourage the hosts to reconsider this practice. Bringing five sets of bed sheets, beach towels, and bath towels takes up considerable trunk space. Making beds, stripping beds, washing and folding sheets and towels is exactly the type of work we're all trying to avoid when we go on vacation.
Next, the hosts require guests to provide paper towels and toilet paper for the next guests, saying they hate for renters to arrive and have none of these "necessities", but don't provide them themselves. Why not? The total cost is over $500 a night, but doesn't include toilet paper? Related, while dish machine soap is provided, sponges and dish soap for washing pots, pans, sheet trays, etc. is not, so we had to go buy those items as well. Also no kitchen towels or hot pads.
Providing these amenities and services would go a long way. As a restaurant owner, I sympathize with the difficulty in finding help (to wash sheets and make beds). That said, I'm also a fellow hospitality professional, and these amenities are, in my opinion, the bare minimum required in a hotel or short-term rental.

This rental was in a great location and the host was very kind, responsive, polite and willing to assist as much as could be.
Having said that, we did not feel the description was 100% accurate. The home has a lot of potential but does need a bit of TLC. There was a good amount of dust in places that were overlooked ( the host offered to send a cleaning person immediately)We had trouble with the TVs connecting ( an issue that never was able to be resolved even with multiple attempts) I believe that with a bit of upgrading and TLC this home would be amazing.

Awesome week. Older home but well maintained. Very short walk to beach access. Use of there beach cart was a great benefit. Easy to communicate with the owners. Would definitely stay again.

Booked this rental a day before as a last minute deal. The place was unhygienic (cockroach in kitchen , clothes (swim wears) from previous renters still in bathroom) along with no sheets and pillow covers (though they barely mentioned about sheets in property info but did a good job to make sure the renters miss it). After numerous mentions of lacking basic needs(No toilet paper, no hand wash etc.) they still haven't highlighted or emphasized it in there listing. The host is super rude and stopped picking up calls after talking to us twice. Terrible experience. After company review and various calls it was concluded that the property was not rentable and I moved out the within few hours with clear instructions to the host to refund the money but still haven't received it.

The proximity to the beach is amazing! We wanted cute beach cottage for our family of 5, this is exactly it. Clean and simple living space with a quick walk to the beach made it a great place to unplug for classic family fun.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Sun Greetings. The house is adorable and in a fantastic location. Our *only* complaint is that you have to provide everything for yourself supply-wise, down to the trash bags. We were left with one trash bag, no laundry detergent and no dishwasher soap by the previous tenant. Come prepared and you’ll have a fantastic time!

If you're looking for a top-of-the-line brand new mega-house, move on. But if you want a legit "beach house" experience, this is the place. Cozy, simple, relaxed. Everything you need to unwind and stage as home base for a beach getaway. The house is 1/2 a block away from a public access and is just a simple 5-minute walk to having your feet in the sand. You're also no more than 5-10 minutes away from the best OBX restaurants. Nicole is so attentive and even reached out to make sure we didn't need anything from her. 5 stars!

The house was very clean and nicely kept. Plenty of room for 6 people. Nice short walk to the beach. Close by to everything we wanted to do...Jockey's Ridge State Park and the Wright Brother's monument and of course the beach! The beach cart was a huge help!

This had been a first vacation in a while since Covid restrictions. We work in healthcare so it’s been stressful. Such a well needed getaway. My husband and our adult son and my teen nieces had an amazing time. Location was the best we ever had at a beach place, meaning…The cottage is located between the beach a block away and the market 2 blocks within walk distance. That made it less noisy and more family friendly. Lots of restaurants close by for adult time too. I am an avid cook and found the kitchen to be well stocked with the tools I needed. The beach space itself had beautiful sand and great waves. The dunes were close enough to enjoy an awesome kite flying experience. Most every vacation we have been on is not without a wrinkle, but the host was immediately responsive and that’s important to know when booking a VRBO. The cottage was exactly as advertised. We recommend.
If you are not familiar with the area, we recommend booking things like visiting the lighthouse and such in advance.

The property is in a great location, plenty of accommodations for a group of 8. Perfect distance from the beach. I do have a minor issue and a somewhat ethical issue. The minor issue is with the floor in the house. The owners laid LVT throughout the house, which was “glued” down, but the glue didn’t take, and therefore was extremely annoying when you walked in it. The house is dated, paneling coming off the walls, but that’s cosmetic and can be easily fixed. The ethical issue, is that I received the “house rules” after the cancellation date. Understandably, smoking, is not permitted in the house, but if a cigarette butt is found on the property, you sacrifice a deposit, which I never paid a deposit, therefore, they would just charge your credit card if they find a cigarette butt on the property. The property is on a main street towards the beach, that anyone could throw a cigarette on the property… I didn’t have a problem with cigarette butts, but if I didn’t do it, then I shouldn’t be charged for that. I made sure before I left, that there were no cigarette butts on the property. I did not know that I needed to provide sheets for all beds, it makes sense, and maybe that’s my ignorance. Thank goodness, Joe Lamb Jr and associates (daughters in-laws) helped me out with bedding. I won’t stay there again, but it’s not bad if you’re on a budget.

Our stay at The Sea Sun was amazing. Very comfy cozy. We took multiple trips per day to the beach because the walk there is quite literally 2 min.!! Not to mention the distance to Harris Teeter w/Starbucks, ha! That is a short drive of maybe 0.3 miles; you could walk there too, although crossing the highway isn't exactly a chance I'd recommend. Multiple restaurants as within walking distance as well! Though we did drive to all of ours, knowing our bellies would be full of the local, fresh seafood and we wouldn't be much for walking after! We would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else choosing The Sea Sun.

Great location! Enough space for my family of 5 and mother. Close to beach, restaurants, grocery store and shops as well as tourist attractions (Jockey Ridge State Park, Wright Brothers Memorial and Bodie Lighthouse). Thank you to owners for sharing their home!

Our family loved our stay here. The home was very clean and well stocked. We had one small issue which the owner responded to immediately. The location was great! It is a quick walk to the beach and there are a ton of shops close by.

This is a great house for families wanting a very short walk to the beach and short drives to great restaurants, activities and water sports. The owner is very nice and was willing to accommodate us. We are already planning on staying here again! Hopefully it’s still available next summer!

My family has travelled to Nags Head area for many years! This place had plenty of room for our family of 6 and short walk to beach! We loved the decor and wooden ceiling in the living room! Not much space on deck though for all of us. When arrived we noticed broken bath fixture and rotten smelling dishwasher. However, upon contact with the owner, she was apologetic offering her cleaning crew to return immediately. We declined-just wanted them to be aware it wasn’t from us. Bleach helped! Nice place overall but little overpriced for a weeks stay.

AMAZING Place!
This house was fantastic for our family of 6. The bedrooms were perfectly sized and beds super comfy. The house was clean, appliances worked perfectly and the AC was COLD! Couldn’t have picked a better location….one block to the beach. The beach cart was fantastic and several chairs for us to use. House was located in the heart of everything! Owners were awesome when we had questions. HIGHLY recommend this house and would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you for everything!

Extended weekend family getaway
THE GOOD: Communication with property owner was good prior to arrival. The location was easy to find with GPS. Neighborhood was very quiet and mainly had families there. Location to the beach was about a minute walk from the house and had beach access at the end of the street. The house gave a clean and kept appearance. Lastly, the beach cart was very handy to transport our items back and forth to the beach. **The beach access from the house is in-between two life guard towers and with small grand children was very comforting.
The not so good: The refrigerator and the protective mattress covers. The mattresses were new as described, but two of the protective covers were soiled. One had a urine stain on it and the other has what appeared to be a small pea size blood spot in it. The room with the urine stained cover was not used and we disinfected the cover with the blood spot on it. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out from the last persons stay.
Communication: We contacted the property owner about the issue and stated that the cleaning company would take care of these issues. The property owner was very apologetic about the issues.
Overall experience: My family had a very enjoyable trip outside of the small things which the property owner said they would ensure was corrected. I was suggest Nicole and her property if you would like to stay in the area.

Thanksgiving 2021 Getaway
Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very nice and just a short walk to the ocean. The instructions sent to us from the owner was very helpful and the keyless entry to the house was great. Several of our family did note the mattress' in the bedrooms were uncomfortable. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would consider this property for a future stay.

Be ready for the owner requirements….
Great location and spacious rental. Sheets, mattress, pillows and sofas require a deep cleaning. Read carefully all requirement that are communicated after you book it and be ready to pay extra fees for cleaning if you leave any left over in the sink or the trash, even you already paid for cleaning.

The Good: Great location! Just a short stroll to the beach via a public access. The owners provided a wide-wheeled beach cart that really helped carry all the beach "stuff" from the house. The local Harris Teeter is a short walk or two minute drive across the highway.
The Bad: This is an older rental home and it shows. The house is musty and had mold growing in the dishwasher, bathrooms and air vents (had to burn a candle the entire week while in the house). The mattresses are stained (nasty), uncomfortable and torn. We bought a pot, pan, plates, cups and utensils rather than using what was in the house because of the mold issues and everything was grimey and abused. We spent as little time in the house as possible and tried to concentrate on beach-time with the kids. We did contact the owner and she was extremely proactive about getting her cleaning crew out to the house to remediate as much as possible. I feel bad about the condition of the house as I believe the owner is not fully aware that it is not being well maintained and are relying on contractors.

Great Central Location
We had a very Pleasant stay at this property in Nags Head. The home was perfect for our family of 8. It was centrally located within walking distance of the beach which was a huge plus for us. It was also close to all restaurants, shops and Grocery stores.
A couple things of note: Mattresses were pretty uncomfortable and the kitchen faucet needs a tune up as the handle worked spotty. We are pretty low-key and all in all we enjoyed the stay, but renters who are nit-picky might have issue.
VERY EASY CHECKIN PROCESS and GREAT COMMUNICATION from owners! Made it easy.
We would for sure stay here again!

Wonderful!
This was a great place. Clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. There is an awesome beach buggy to haul your gear to the beach. Beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys were available as well. The location was great - short walk to the beach.
If you are considering this place I highly recommend it! Here is the feedback from my kids (13-18). They wished it had board games, books, and puzzles. They wished it had a pool. The whole family found the beds uncomfortable. None of those things would stop us from going again. The community and the beach are amazing. You can walk to the grocery store, the liquor store, the beach supply store, and their are many great dining establishments near by.

Sea side
There’s no instructions for anything in the house. One TV is on one connection and the others are on another. It would be nice to have instructions as to how to operate them. There are no instructions for the coffee pod maker but I think I figured it out. Overall the place is nice. Did not find anything to clean with until too late. This should have been included in the information. We are not newcomers to renting a place as we are both retired. We have been coming to the Outerbanks since the 70’s . We are from Maryland also. Where are you from. Been living in NC since 2004.

Beach Vacation 2021
My family checked in on a Monday afternoon. The house was very clean and decorated tastefully. The distance to the beach was about a five minute walk. The beach was like a dune. It was very difficult to climb for those who are physically challenged. The water was beautiful and worth the climb. There were some issues that had to be settled with the homeowner after our departure . The issues were already there (no cable) when we arrived but because we did not report them to the homeowner, we got blamed for them. (We used our firestick instead). Regardless of this, our time at this beach house was very enjoyable. We had a five star vacation!

It was a short trip so we didn't want to have to deal with problems at the house. We didn't have to, it was all good. Nice and clean, thanks for the stay.

You can SEE & HEAR the ocean from the front porch!
Fantastic property and property owner! I was thrilled to see how close to the ocean we were! I literally counted my steps (I’m 5’4”) and it was only 307 steps from the bottom step of the house to the first bit of sand!!
House was just as promised and we loved it and have already booked again!!! The Keurig was awesome along with the rest of the kitchen amenities. The couch was super comfy-so comfy that I fell asleep on it after an early fishing trip (and I NEVER fall asleep on the couch)!! LOVE the fact that each bedroom had a ceiling fan-a must at the beach!
We felt “so at home” while enjoying the sights and sounds of beach life and would recommend everyone to book (except for when we want to come back, of course-ha!). Thanks Nicole for being such a great host!!! Well be back!
