Rustic Charm. Space. Privacy. Location, location, location.
Experience gracious Mid-Atlantic beach house living in a cottage filled with whitewashed beadboard, planked floors and broad, comfortable porches. This rustic, rambling, almost-century-old home (built c. 1928, it's the oldest structure in blocks) has everything you want: historic charm, modern amenities, and a prime location just steps away from the beach and South Rehoboth’s historic boardwalk.
The two-story Main House sleeps six with three bedrooms, one den, and one and a half baths. It features a broad screened-in front porch, an open floor plan, and a versatile kitchen suited for snacking or entertaining. The back deck provides alfresco dining space and an oversized hot tub perfect for relaxing with friends in shaded privacy. And the fenced-in back yard is a beautiful tree-canopied haven for an afternoon in a hammock, a game of croquet or a relaxing, outdoor shower under the open sky.
The converted Carriage House comfortably sleeps four to six with one large bedroom upstairs, a living area that can sleep two with a kitchenette downstairs, and one newly renovated bathroom. Just steps away from the Main House back deck, it provides a secluded escape with private access off the fenced-in yard.
And you won’t find a better location in South Rehoboth. Silver Lake is 50 yards to the west, and the beach and boardwalk are 100 yards to the east, giving you easy access to the Atlantic Ocean and downtown Rehoboth’s myriad dining and entertainment options, just a 10 to 15 minute stroll away.
Both the Main House and the Carriage House are dog and cat friendly for friendly dogs and cats.
Experience Rehoboth Beach the way vacationing families and friends have done for generations. The house is available year-round for select weeks. Please note that in order to avoid weekend traffic, our house generally rents from midweek to mid week. During the 2025 season, that will be Tuesdays to Tuesdays. In the off-season, we offer renters some flexibility, however, so contact the owners should you care to reserve different move-in/move-out days.
We provide bed linens and towels.

Convenient and short walk distance to the beach and boardwalk.

You can not ask for a better location!
We loved the layout of the space. The hosts were so gracious! Hope to be back next season. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location - just a few houses from the beach on one side, and Silver Lake a few steps away on the other side - cannot be beat. Plenty of outdoor space. The house is comfortable, although the bathrooms are old, tight, and in need of a good clean. Very dog friendly, which we appreciated. The house needs some updates and could use some attention, but it has great bones. Overall, we recommend as long as you aren't looking for luxury. It's fully functional with an older beach-cottage vibe.

Everything was wonderful. The house was located near the beach and the hosts were great. Top notch all around!

It rained all week but we still had a grand time. The house was conveniently located to the beach, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a screened porch so we could still be 'outside' without getting wet. Best of all, the yard was fully fenced in for my little dog so I didn't need to worry about escape when she went out. The host was available and helpful, I'd def stay at this house again.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this property and the owners! We've stayed at many beach homes over the years and this one had more extras than all of the others put together - linens, towels, books, games, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrella, bikes, food to share, paper products, and more. The dogs loved the fenced in yard! Grandma's favorite spot was the Hot Tub and we all enjoyed the front porch. The short walk to the beach and boardwalk was also fantastic. The house wasn't dirty, but was certainly "lived in" and could use some updating. But at the price point, was definitely worth it!

Nice beach cottage with good appliances, open main floor layout, owner provided beach towels & chairs and screened in front porch w/view of Silver Lake. The upper deck was great for cooler mornings & has view of ocean. We especially loved the location, kitchen and main floor layout, hot tub, outdoor shower, front porch and quick walk to boardwalk & beach! The Owner - David, was super nice to work with and very responsive. A real plus was cottage is dog friendly & has a fenced in backyard.

My family and I had an amazing time during our stay at this house. We particularly enjoyed the two separate houses, the proximity to the beach just a few houses down, and the short walk/bike ride to the downtown shops. Our favorite spot was the screened-in front porch, where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of spices, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Some parts of the house showed signs of aging, and the backyard trees could use a trim.
In summary, it's a charming house with a lot of character in a beautiful neighborhood, especially since it's on the beachside where dogs are allowed – we enjoyed watching all the furry friends passing by.

Wonderful cozy house & cottage! David & Mark are awesome owners and really take care of you! Can’t wait to return next summer!

Proximity to the beach and Silver Lake were big advantages. Rehoboth beach is great for bicycling around, too. Location just at the end of the boardwalk meant it was somewhat quieter also.

This house is the perfect location for walking to the beach, the boardwalk, the lake. We would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Where else can you find a house with a guest house, fenced in yard, that allows dogs, a 3 min walk to the beach and walking distance to Funland??? This house was the perfect location for our family vacation. With a toddler, being able to walk to the beach and to Funland was amazing and made everything so easy! My husband, toddler and I stayed in the guest house while the rest of our family stayed in the main house. The guesthouse was perfect for my son to have a quiet place to sleep. The only thing we were disappointed in was the guest house bathroom. The bathtub and shower head had mold/mildew on it and the drain was rusty so it didn’t work for us to take showers/baths there. The outdoor shower and main house showers were great though. The guest house bed was very noisy/creaky so we had to sleep on the futon, which was fine. The screened porch was great and where we spent most of our time. The house is on a quiet street, neighbors were quiet and nice. The yard was perfect for our dog and so was the option to take her on the beach in the morning and evening. David was super responsive and nice.

We had the best time here inJune 22! I booked 2 weeks as a belated 50th birthday present for myself! Best decision ever! I can’t wait to do it again! Had my kids - who loved to carriage house, walking & biking everywhere! I never had to drive them! Also had friends come & husband came when he was able to get out of work, and spent mornings and evenings on one of the porches with my dog💕the neighbors were lovely, kind & helpful, as were the owners who helped me when I was too dumb to figure things out! I need to get on the ball earlier to reserve for next summer!

The house was just as pictured and in the perfect location! Located right at the end of the boardwalk, it was ideal - very quiet but close enough for walks into town for shopping or dinner. For dog owners, it’s great with a fenced in backyard, screened in porch and deck that allowed vast opportunity for our boy to enjoy the outdoors. David was a great host - very commutative. Definitely hope to return.

Stayed for our daughter's wedding weekend and the property was perfect!

We stayed last year with family and we all had a wonderful time. The owners were very communicative and made our second stay just as welcoming as the first time.

Our 3 generation family vacation was a big success. This property easily accommodated the whole crew. The location just steps from the beach and the end of the boardwalk was the best. We mainly used the section of beach that allows dogs and canopies. The quiet carriage house was perfect for my son’s family with a 3 month old. The main house was beautifully decorated. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare family meals. The extra drink fridge & wine cooler was used plenty. The toy filled ottoman was loved by my 2 year old granddaughter. Having sheets, bath towels and beach towels available helped us minimize our packing. The screened porch with ceiling fans was so comfortable for us all to gather for morning coffee. The hot tub was a great plus. The host communicated well before and during our stay. Prior to our arrival, he let me know the dryer broke the week before our stay. A brand new washer/dryer delivered during our stay was so nice. The carriage house hot water wasn’t working on arrival. The host helped us troubleshoot & get the circuit breaker reset. We all loved everything about this place. Thank you David for sharing your special home with us. We would definitely return.

Overall, we really enjoyed our week here! Prospect St was the last street that connects to the Rehoboth boardwalk, but right on the Dewey Beach line, so you can walk your dog on the beach going south. The set-up of the house was great for a multigenerational stay (young kids, grandparents, and the owners are so responsive and helpful. Great appliances, fenced-in yard, and the screened in front porch was perfect. The only two minor issues we had were the beds weren’t very comfortable especially with two people sharing a bed, and the cleaning service wasn’t the most thorough, but those weren’t dealbreakers. We would absolutely come back here again—the location is just incredible!

This property is overrated and needs to be reevaluated.
I have stayed at other vrbo properties before and the ratings were very accurate. I usually stay at a top 50 accommodation with a rating no lower than 4.8.
While the proximity to the beach was great,
the property was poorly maintained.
At first glance, the screen was torn away from the front door. Upon entry, the floors were dirty, the cabinets and supplies were disorganized. Paint was peeling and chipping and main floor half bath had a rusted sink. Everything felt dirty!
The sheets provided were not clean and
the beds were uncomfortable
The guest house was even worse. It was stuffy and also felt dirty.
The electricity did not work at all in the guest house bathroom.
Our stay was uncomfortable and depressing, we left two days early.
This property was rated 4.9. It should have been rated 3.
I contacted vrbo and the owner immediately upon arrival.
Vrbo indicated they informed the owner/manager.
I was not contacted.

We have stayed at Rehobeth beach several years in a row. This house was definitely the best rental experience by far. The quick beach access was a game changer w little ones. Also it’s right on the border of rehobeth so if you have sunbrellas or small tents it’s easy to walk down the beach outside of the rules against those items. The house was great, the grill is very nice and we loved the porch in front and the backyard was a fun place to hang out.

We had a great stay at this house. It’s very convenient and located only a block from the beach and the boardwalk. We loved the hot tub and even were able to use bikes they had at the house to explore the area.

An Ocean View - and a Lake View, Too!
We spent nine (9) days in July 2019 at this charming, nearly a century old cedar shake Rehoboth Beach house, fully updated to the 21st century with all the charms of home and none of the kitsch (i.e., seas shells everywhere and pastels galore) of most beach rental properties. Grand parents, parents and twin toddlers all found comfortable spaces to hang out in, from front porches, to back decks with a hot tub, to a charming independent carriage house to get away from it all, to an upstairs terrace with a lovely view of both the Atlantic and Silver Lake. The house description and photos are 100% accurate but really don't do this gem of a property justice as the look and feel inside are as good as it gets in Rehoboth, with real art on the wall, book shelves full of books, lots of wicker furniture, and well-landscaped grounds with a vegetable and herb garden. The Tuesday-to-Tuesday rental period is eminently sane to avoid weekend traffic and a bonus for the entire rent.al experience on Prospect Street,
