We stayed for 4 nights and let me tell you we did not want to leave. We have been all over the United States and this was by far our favorite spot we have ever stayed in.
Beautiful cabin, beautiful private location, with a Great Lake and pontoon boat. Would be perfect for a girls weekend retreat, guys weekend retreat or even just a get away for the family.
Pretty much 20 minutes from everything you want to travel too. We hope to stay there every year. Could not have had a better trip.

Really enjoyed our stay. Property was nice and clean and matched the description. A nice place to stay for a couple of days, far from the madding crowd 🙂.
Great communication with the owner and very helpful with adjustment on our stay duration.

Worked out well for our family (nine of us). Clean and comfortable. Beautiful wooded lot with view of small lake. 20 minute drive to water park and traverse city.

We really enjoyed ourselves in this charming home. The owner’s instructions/descriptions were spot on so please pay attention to them. We really hope to come back when the weather is nicer so we can take advantage of the lake, boat, etc…. The driveway could be easily missed at night so it’s best to arrive durning the day for checkin.

Our family group of 7 adults decided to risk it and arrive just before the start of a 2 day blizzard which was predicted to leave up to 26" of snow. (Be sure to listen to the advice to have an AWD vehicle for the snow covered roads!)The cabin was warm and perfect for our group. We cooked and played pool, watched a dvd from their selection. We went out on one of the blizzard nights to the local bar and got pizza. The other patrons were all friendly and it was a fun night with everyone braving the storm and enjoying the night.
We did bring extra blankets which the instructions suggested and we were glad we did. All of the house suggestions are important to heed. We did need them all. We slept in comfortable beds and there was a nice amount of space for us all. The massive window in the main room was beautiful for watching the dramatic weather unfolding outside!

The cottage and property were perfect for our weekend. It is very private (although someone is building on the lot next door), and there is a lot of space.
We made many trips up and down the path to the lake - perfect for the dogs! We used the firepit on the dock but not the one next to the house. Pretty cool to sit on the dock around a fire and watch the stars come out.
Sunrises were perfect! Every day a different sunrise over Cedar Lake.
Caught a few bass off the pontoon. It was very peaceful.
If you paid attention you could hear barred owls and sandhill cranes. Also saw an eagle and a pileated woodpecker.
The cottage was set up perfectly for us with sleeping available on three levels. Not sure how comfy the bunk beds were, but the queen was good.
The furniture in the living room isn't very comfortable. The kitchen table works well. The bathrooms and kitchen were good, and the bedrooms were great with plenty of places to put your stuff after unpacking.
It had everything we needed for a great weekend.

Great property with lots of amenities. Close to town but not to close! Loved the proximity to other lakes and trails. We will be back.

Our stay was great! Cozy cabin, clear lake for swimming, loved kayaking and swimming off the pontoon. The home is situated between Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We loved our outdoor adventures and the cabin was great for our indoor rainy days too!

Perfect family getaway
This cabin was better than I anticipated. Sometimes I worry lakehouses will be gross and not taken care of, but everything here was in perfect shape and made us feel right at home. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 adults and 1 baby. We loved that they had everything we need, from life jackets, to a girdle. There was a pack-and-play already there but I didn't realize it and we brought our own. If I was to improve one thing it would be to have lawn chairs that we could bring to the beach. The hosts were very nice and had lots of instructions as well as recommendations for things to do. We can't wait to come back.

Forced family fun!
We took our kids and grandkids on a family trip, the cabin was a perfect get away. The playground, pontoon and swim mat were a huge hit and set this cabin apart. Traverse City and the Sand Dunes are nearby, but the young kids had the most fun just staying at the cabin.

What an amazing property
We stayed for easter weekend and it was an absolutely wonderful stay. Weather was cool but the light snowflakes falling on the lake was a beautiful view from the balcony. Our pup fell in love with running back and forth down the path to the lake. And the home was incredibly cute (quote from my wife) inside and out. Finally, thank you Lizzie for the excellent communication. We can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer

Great Fall Get Away!
The house was as described. Good communication regarding check-in, as well as notes around the home explaining little items. The home was all we had hoped for; clean, comfortable, and good working order. Kids loved the downstairs pool room, video games, and bunk beds. The location was just far enough from traffic and crowds, yet close enough for a 10-15 drive to get anything that was needed. We would recommend this cabin for a nice enjoyable getaway.

Nice hub for our stay with beautiful wooded location and quiet lake
Very clean, private location. Dirt road leading to the house with beautiful trees all around. Neighbor to the left but didn’t see anyone else really out much. Quiet small lake- perfect for kayaks and fishing. Free boat was a nice added touch but as mentioned it’s a “free” boat so don’t expect much. It was perfect for the grandparents for fishing. There were 10 of us(6 adults and 4 teens). It was a little tight but we made it work. Futon in lower level was decent for a week’s long sleep and my husband brought an air mattress for the floor. The other futon is on the main level and that would have been very tight to use with the 10 of us on different sleep schedules. Totally doable. Well water so bring plenty of bottle water and just be aware there is a slight discoloration in the toilets because of the well water but that’s what you get being tucked in the woods. About 30-40 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes, 40 minutes to Jolly Pumpkin and wineries on the peninsula drive, 20 minutes to Traverse City and about 30 to Elk Rapids. Thanks for the great accommodations!

Cozy Cottage
This was a great place to unplug and connect with family and nature. We were a little concerned about no WiFi but our cell service was just fine throughout the stay!

Cozy winter getaway
This place was amazing! Our family of 5, plus our close friends, stayed here for a fun winter getaway. It was such a cozy little retreat for us! The gas fireplace warmed us up after ice fishing on the lake, snowy walks, and the kids running around enjoying the snow covered woods outside. Our dogs loved just sprawling out in front of the fireplace, which kicks off a very good amount of heat.
The cabin was very well stocked, warm, and has very cool floor to ceiling windows facing the lake. It was also easy to find and well marked.
We will definitely come stay again! Thanks for renting out such a cool place.

Winter stay
Beautiful home tucked away in the woods. Spent the long weekend with friends and enjoyed being snowed in all weekend. Perfect spot to feel like you are far away from the city. Nice house. Clean. Easy to find.
Only con, there is a house very close to your left looking out to the lake. Not a deal breaker but not should be added in one of the pictures for full transparency.

Absolutely beautiful!
We had SUCH a good time this weekend at your cabin! The view was our favorite! & the kids loved the game room down stairs. We are already looking to come back this summer and make this a yearly tradition. We had so much fun. This was our first time in Traverse City and we all loved our time. You have made our first time here so enjoyable and great. Thanks so much!

Relaxing respite that has it all
Amazing time. Our small children enjoyed the boat, small train from house to lake, walking on the roads (pine cone hunting!) and they're still talking about the loons. The home is adorable and comfortable. We enjoyed evenings on the deck or near the fire pit catching up and one night heard so many amazing animals. 7 a.m. kayak rides were a terrific way to start the day. Already booked for next year. Hosts were very quick to communicate and very hospitable.

Wow what a pretty setting!
Close to Traverse City but feels like you are tucked away somewhere in the UP. So peaceful and quite, the beds were so comfortable I couldn’t get out of bed lol! Best sleep I have had in a long time. Home was well maintained, clean , warm and inviting. Highly recommended!

Winter wonderland!
Cozy stay at the Cedar Lake Lodge!
Arriving to the home tucked back in the woods with the towering snow covered trees, and the lighted Christmas tree made it like a Christmas card. Way cooler than we expected! It was just the two of us so the home had way more than enough space. Seemed like there was plenty to do in the home especially down in the game room. We didn’t get to use it though as we just stayed up stairs and got plenty of use from the cozy gas log stove. Lake Ann was a cute little village just a few minutes away with a nice little restaurant and brewery. Traverse City wasn’t far either maybe 15, 20 minutes away. Great location, nice quiet surrounding area great for peaceful evening walks. Home was super clean, bed was comfy, we will be back!

Beautiful retreat near Traverse City
We rented this house for a birthday weekend for my husband. Having this much space allowed our entire family to gather together, including all of our grown children. The house was very clean and comfortable. One word of warning though, the bunk beds were not comfortable at all! Memory foam toppers for the bunk beds would make a world of difference. Unfortunately, it was wet and cold that weekend when we were there, so we were unable to fully enjoy the lake and boats that were available. A huge bonus if it were a nice weekend.
