Fantastic beach cabin in a nice location, close to Gay Head lighthouse and several beaches, including the dog-friendly Lobsterville. Good views, plenty of land, we had a good time!

Impressive property, perfect layout for socializing. Suited our group of seven perfectly plenty of room for large meals inside and out. Very well stocked and clean. The views speak for themselves.

This was our second year staying at the property and the experience was just as great as the first time. The three grandchildren (ages 12, 6, 3) had plenty of running around room on the beautiful lawn as adults watched from the deck. On the occasional rainy day they were inside playing games or working on craft projects on the long dining table. I would highly recommend staying at this property - Thank you again Colin for a memorable time for our family!

We could not have had a more relaxed two weeks! Colin was a tremendously responsive host and we truly appreciated his hospitality. This property is beyond compare if you want privacy and ocean views, easy access to beaches and trail walks. The stone fireplace was a grand spot to sit around in the evenings and reflect on the day. Would absolutely rent this property again!

We absolutely loved this private location with large yard and beautiful scenery from the two decks. The house was well equipped and comfortable; it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the fireplace on some of the cool evenings! Colin was wonderful to interact with -very responsive and helpful!

While the house is cozy and has rustic charm, the big attraction here is the setting and the roof deck which has amazing views of the ocean and sunsets.

Charming cottage in a spectacular setting. We particularly enjoyed the sweeping water views from the spacious two level decks.

Our stay in Aquinnah was wonderful - in spite of the off and on again weather. The house was very comfortable and worked very well for our multi generational group: 4 adults, 1 five year old, 1 two year old, and 1 eleven year old. It actually exceeded our expectations - the pictures do not do justice to the property and the interior spaces.
We enjoyed cooking and eating most meals at "home".
Lobsterville beach - a five minute drive is terrific, kid friendly and lovely.
I would highly recommend staying at this property -
Thank you Colin for a memorable time for our family!

My husband and I were looking for a comfortable and secluded location for a quiet, relaxing week and we found it in this property. Clean, well-equipped, great customer service from the owner and plenty of room in the house, on the decks and in the yard. This place can be enjoyed by a couple, a family and a group of friends.

The cottage was immaculate, quaint and very comfortable. Colin, the owner, was a delight to communicate with: quick responses, and he solved a minor issue within minutes. The water views were breathtaking, as were the gorgeous sunsets, and the beautiful night sky.

The house was exactly what we needed for our trip. It was clean and cozy with beautiful views. After coffee on the deck we ventured out for various bike trails during the day and returned at night for fantastic sunsets and relaxing food and drink with friends. It delivered all that was promised and e-mail communication with the host was awesome with responses within hours. Would definitely stay again!!

This home is beautiful and is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood away from the more "touristy" spots. It's a short drive to some nice shops in Aquinnah and great beaches. The view from the outside is outstanding, you can see beautiful sunsets over the Gay Head lighthouse from either porch each night and the roof top deck is a great place to take some exceptional pictures. The home was outfitted nicely and well thought out for my family of 5 during our stay, even including some toys for kids to play with. There was a large selection of dishes and cook-ware/dish-ware, even beach towels and coolers. Everything we could think of that we would need when we arrived ended up being there for us to use, for example we wanted to go out on the roof top deck for some photos at night but we didn't bring flashlights and we found that not only were there two flashlights but also two LED lanterns for us to use. There's a large yard surrounding the home that's perfect for kids to play outside and explore the nature surrounding it and being in a nice quiet neighborhood is definitely a big plus for that as well. The downside of being away from the more populated areas of the island is that you will have to do some traveling to get groceries and stuff like that but with the island being relatively small it's only about a half hour from everything. Colin was a fantastic host and always responded to our messages within minutes before and during our stay. If you're looking for something nice, quiet and unique on Marthas Vineyard this is it!

Seven of us stayed in this summer cottage and appreciated the well-outfitted kitchen and large, airy family/dining room. We enjoyed the two decks, eating at the big outdoor table with the blue umbrella, and the lovely sounds of birds and ocean surf. The house is a few minutes' drive from the Aquinnah Cliffs and Gay Head Light, a beautiful part of the island.

We stayed here for a wedding and had a wonderful time. The property is well taken care of and the views from the roof deck are wonderful.

This is a great place to stay if you're interested in peace and quiet. That's what we wanted. We were happy that we stopped to buy groceries on way to the house. We ate most of our meals there. I loved the two decks. One was great for eating, the other for star gazing.

The views are amazing. Great, cozy place to call home for a week. Hope to stay again.

This house is very clean and charming. The views from both the decks are stunning and made us feel connected to the ocean even when we were not at the beach. Aquinnah is beautiful because it is a little away from the touristy parts of the island. We took gorgeous sunset photos every evening and had breakfast on the deck every morning. Colin was a wonderful host and very responsive. The kitchen has all the equipment you need. Bring your own pantry basics if arriving late or plan to shop at stores 20-30 mins away. Nights on the island can get chilly in May which was not an issue for us adults because of warm comforters available in the house, but it was a problem for our infant in the crib. Overall, our vacation experience was enhanced by staying at this property!

We had a wonderful time at this cottage house. The views from the main and roof deck are exceptional, and at certain times we could hear the surf on both southern and western shores. Exceptional. The house is comfortably equipped. The long porch is a great gathering space and dining room and the stone fireplace was well used for our October stay. So enjoyable, we would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks, Colin, for sharing your home.

Colin’s cottage “We Did It” was more spacious and beautiful than the photos suggested. The entire property has a relaxed and comfortable feeling about it and is well cared for. Aquinnah offers such unique natural beauty and we felt so blessed to spend our honeymoon here and we will always treasure our memories from this week.
