About this house rental
Blending contemporary styling with superb craftsmanship this sensational home offers an unrivalled beachfront position right on the foreshore of Four Mile Beach. Protected from the warm southeasterly breeze, the property overlooks a landscaped nature strip right down to the sand with large lawn areas and mature trees.
Intricate stone work, exotic water features and plants announce the entry into one of Port’s finest homes. The ground level offers open plan living and dining. An ultra modern kitchen overlooks the massive pool and an outdoor dining pavilion complete with state of the art BBQ.
On the ground floor there are three bedrooms. Two rooms have twin single beds which can be converted to king beds as required.
The master bedroom, on the same level, can be sealed off into a parent’s retreat complete with a superb outdoor bathroom with marble bath.
There is a sunken entertainment room with fold out double sofa and media outlets, ideal for children or adults of any age.
Upstairs, an office nook is available for the work that cannot wait. Another master bedroom with en-suite has access to a sheltered veranda overlooking the pool to the beach beyond.
The main feature of this house is the stunning 12.5 metre heated pool and the thatched pool pavilion with large daybed and bathroom facilities.
Sun lounges, exotic landscaping and the attention to detail have created a mini-resort available for the private use of you and your family or friends. The house features central air-conditioning, Foxtel, two stereos, WiFi internet and three TVs. There is also garaging for two vehicles.

Great home and facilities. Very relaxing with everything you need at this lovely home, easy drive or walk along the beach to town with lots of restaurants and shopping available. Very quiet location. Will certainly return for another stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 7 and we fit in comfortably. The king that converted to 2 single beds helped. There was a fold-out sofa bed but we didn't need that. The house presented as in the photos, and the best two thing were the beach facing lounge area and pool bathed in sunlight most of the day, and the fact that you are right on the beach. The house is not walking distance to Port Douglas main street, but if you have a car (recommend) then it makes no difference and I would rather be right on the beach and further from town than not on the beach and closer to town. Loved the stay and would go back.

Awesome stay for a girls getaway
Had an awesome stay for a girls getaway. Pool and surroundings felt like a tropical paradise which it was. Had a fantastic time and house was amazing - would stay there again.

Great size pool
The location of the house was great, and the pool size was fantastic. House and pool overall though need a good clean and repair. Upstairs toilet door provides no privacy as the slats are broken, the downstairs lounge has slats broken to the door also. The upstairs door to the balcony is terrible to open and close and the window slats dont shut properly as they are also broken. The pool had missing tiles which sliced open my childrens feet. For the price we paid, and how it was advertised, overall I expected a much better quality home that wasnt so old and requiring so much maintenance.

17 Nights in Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our 17 nights at 12 Cowrie St Beachhouse. Fantastic heated pool, beautifully designed Beachhouse. Very well equipped kitchen. I enjoyed the BBQ area cooking and eating outside by the pool was very nice. Kids found some board games and books. Beds were comfortable also. We would definitely stay again and recommend to any family to book this house.

Second time here (last 2013) is a wonderful relaxing house with all the features you could ever need.
Comfortably fits 8 people without living on top of each other - and the pool provides a welcome respite from the heat (and the tropical rain). The activities close by keep even the most active busy.
