For our group which included 6 adults, a teenager and an infant it was a great fit.

The house is well maintained and located close to the most Nevada beaches and SLT entertainment.

Beautifully remodeled home, worked well for our family of 6 adults. The mini ac units upstairs worked great, but we did bring an extra fan to use in the main bedroom. It was an extra hot weekend and the ceiling fan wasn’t going to be enough to cool that room down to sleep. We were sad that the beach was submerged but we werere happy to use Round Hill beach which we had never been to before. We would definitely visit that beach again! Overall, we had a great stay! Thank you so much for letting us use your home!

The Pharris Wheel House was an amazing experience for us! Christine was very responsive and you can tell they took great care of their home. As you pull into the private neighborhood of Marla Bay, the house is a 1940's lake home that has been extensively remodeled and modernized. Parking is limited to the single garage bay and maybe another small car parked parallel to street on driveway. As you enter the home- the open floor plan with modern kitchen greets you to cook meals for the family and we particularly enjoyed playing rumicube on dinner table. The main level features kitchen, main living, dining and family suite with king bed and 2 twins, perfect for my sister and her 2 younger kids. Up the "Pharris Wheel" (the original 1948 wooden spiral staircase) leads to the attic where 2 bedrooms with comfy memory foam queens await you and a new 3/4 bath. It does get hot during the summer so each room has a minisplit (youtube to familiarize how to operate these or you will be frustrated to keep optimal desired temp). We didn't use the gameroom basement too often bc it was fairly chilly for us but the laundry room is also there. The home was well appointed with extra pillows, blankets, spices, cookware, pots/ pans- everything you need for home cooking. Towels were fluffy and white- but do bring conditioner if you need for your hair- only shampoo and body wash (as listed) are available. Check out is a breeze- no laundry list of to do items and really feels like vacation!

It was quick getaway to show my family from Peru and Brazil how Lake Tahoe is like in winter cos I took them last year in summertime, it was amazing and beautiful in winter! But the big Pineapple Express storm has cut our trip short we only stayed 1 night instead of 2. But the house is cozy and clean, bedsheets looks like new and clean which is very important. The host is very responsive, hope the host can give me a good rate on summer as we plan to go back and stay here again. Thank you for accommodating us in your lovely cabin!

10 stars! House was beautiful and interesting ! Quiet and clean neighborhood, close to the beach. The house was very well stocked , clean, checking in process and the hosts were flawless! The stairs would be scary for little kids, but we had 6 adults and all fit very comfortably! Would definitely return. Thanks again!!

The property was just as beautiful as in the pictures. It had everything you needed in terms of rooms, kitchen utensils and cookware if you wanted to cook there as well as extra blankets if the evening got chilly. The three rooms were spacious enough to fit all of us. The basement floor was an additional bonus with its foosball table and futon that was really comfortable. Someone could easily watch tv and hangout there while everyone else was on the main floor. We made breakfast in the mornings and grilled dinner at night and we didn’t need to get anything from the store except the actual food. Spices, cookware, utensils, plates, even storage bags were available. There is a one car garage and space in front of it to park an additional car along it if you’re coming with multiple cars. The location is really nice right in the Zephyr Cove area and in a quick walk you’re on your own little beach area that is private and only for the people living in that area. The two times we walked down to it we were the only people there. The house itself doesn’t have an air conditioning system (which is common in Lake Tahoe) but the two bedrooms upstairs had their own room air conditioners so it was easy to get the rooms cooler if you needed to. The hosts were incredible and responded quickly to any questions we had. I would absolutely stay here again in the future and would recommend it to anyone, especially people who were coming up with families.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was nicely furnished and clean. The yard and front patio had plenty of room for our small grandchildren to play safely. The beach access was just a couple blocks away and was very nice. We only saw a few other people on this private beach. There is a small ramp perfect for launching a large kayak or small boat. Note: The beach did not have an ADA access that we saw. The garage had beach chairs and a small cooler for guests which was nice. The home location was very conveniently located to all the things to do in Tahoe. Tahoe Sport Fishing was awesome! We enjoyed hiking several trails in the area with the whole family.

This property was conveniently located away from the crowds of South Lake Tahoe but just a short distance from all amenities from South Lake Tahoe to Incline Village. The house was large enough and provided plenty of bedding for my family of 7. It was very comfortable and allowed for much needed rest on our 2,100 mile road trip around California and Lake Tahoe. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

Thank you so much! We LOVED our stay here and wished we had booked a longer trip! The home was beautifully renovated with cute décor, and the backyard was very relaxing. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group of 6, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the furniture was brand new & very stylish. We appreciated that the kitchen had all the pantry staples we needed & that beach towels were provided!
The location was perfect for us- just a quick 10 minute drive to Stateline for our day & night activities. The home is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood with a private beach- we unfortunately didn't take advantage of it for long, but it was tied as our favorite part of this rental, aside from the beautiful home itself.
Regarding check-in, I would suggest downloading the VRBO app for an easy check-in process. I personally didn't, and had to log onto the website as I was driving to retrieve the check-in details. However, the owners were very quick to respond with the information we needed. I love the keypad system on the door- it's very easy to get in and out.
Our only suggestions would be: to have more cozy blankets aside from the 2 in the game room. And, a hot tub is always a fun addition, especially during our winter trips to Tahoe :)
We will absolutely be renting here again! Thank you so much!

Second time staying in this great house. We love the location and private beach access. Perfect for our family of five, but there’s definitely room for more. During this visit we felt even more at home. Excellent vacation home.

Perfect for family time vacation at Lake Tahoe
Our family was very comfortable in this sparkling clean property. With 3 different levels, there was plenty of room for adults and teens to relax after our days on the beach. The beds were very comfy and everything we needed was right there. The upstairs air conditioners were a perfect touch as the temps were up in the 80’s

The house was nice beach was great
Need a better BBQ the electric one takes to long to cook on. A gas one would be much better to cook on for more than two people . A little more info on AC that it is only up stairs beside that the house was great

Beautiful Marla’s Bay Home
We truly enjoyed staying at this Marla’s bay Vrbo. The home and property were gorgeous, parking was tight with two trucks, but manageable and being close to the highway made for some road noise. The home was very clean and accommodating for our family and friends and the communication with the owners was simple and efficient. Very close to shopping, Stateline, and Heavenly Village. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

We stayed here for 5 nights in the summer, and pretty much enjoyed our vacation in Lake Tahoe. Ideal for family and friends to share.

Great location
This was house was in a great location. Close to golfing at Edgewood and south shore restaurants and gaming. Close walk to a private beach that was awesome and great views of the lake. House was great nicely remodeled bathrooms. The only small downside is it next to 50 so you could hear traffic at busy times but that wouldn’t keep me from coming back.

Would stay again!
We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family/friends.
The property was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds!!!, well stocked kitchen, convenient location. Plenty of towels and the numbered towel hooks were a nice touch so you can keep track of yours. Having the beach within walking distance was a nice plus. The big backyard was perfect for the kids to play in the snow, too bad we didn't get any fresh powder.
A very minor suggestion: a (new) nonstick pan.
But again, we were pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful stay. We would love to stay again, maybe in the summer to take advantage of the private beach.

Cozy Neighborhood By the Lake
The house was perfect for our family of six. Close enough to Stateline and to nearby activities; Heavenly. The home was roomy, cozy, and remodeled nicely. The game room was fun for the older kids. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day and it was comfortable for two people to work in the kitchen. Access to the lake was also nice; just a short walk down the hill. We visited the second weekend in January so we had to deal with snow/ice. The driveway/garage was small; it only fits one medium-size car (I had an Atlas; it was tight). It wasn't easy getting in and out of the garage due to the ice and snow-pack around the front of the house and in front of the garage area. Standing water would freeze overnight causing the tires to slip while pulling out of the garage as there is a bit of a grade going from the street into the garage. Regardless we used the garage and we were able to get the car in and out using "Snow Mode" on the car. If there wasn't any ice/snow it wouldn't have been such a nail-bitter pulling out of the garage. Other than that, the house and location were perfect. We will definitely reserve this house again.

Ask questions...
Remodled dated home, excluding spiral staircase (lots of dust and cobwebs). No instruction manual for use of wifi (how to connect), tv, gas fireplace with remote, temperature control, and location of extra towels, bedding, & TP. We figured it out on our own, be sure to get info prior to arrival. As we were unprepared and had to purchase batteries, toliet paper, and late arrival friends brought more towels to accommodate our party. Wifi does not 'pop-up' to auto connect, must add via Advanced settings. I messaged host for wifi info (received location of name & password, but not how to connect) and the additional bedding, host replied that bedding 'should be' located... found a few, but no extra towels (only 4 sets of towels for 8 guests with 4 night stay provided), no extra toliet paper (only 2 full rolls provided), and no batteries. Recommend you bring blanket if run cold, a towel set per person if more than 4 guests, toliet paper if staying more than two nights, and AAA batteries for remotes.
Property not ADA, if you cannot use stairs look elsewhere.
Master suite does not have a private in-suite bathroom. The 1st floor bathroom for all to use is located right outside master and is not spacious. Upstairs rooms are SMALL with minimal head room and COLD, as was lowest level.
Also, bears! MUST not leave food in vehicles or in coolers outside. Place garbage in bear box.
Property is best suited for 2 adults, 2 average height teens, and two children. Not recommended for small children, elderly, or large vehicles.
To be fair, I did not reach out to host regarding lack of towels, toliet paper, or batteries as property searched and found none, so we improvised.
The price point is location, not accommodations or amenities.

Beautiful!
This property has had some fantastic renovations. Everything was comfortable and homey. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Away from traffic but a short drive to South Tahoe and 5 minutes to the grocery store. And the beach is right down the street. We arrived in time for the massive unexpected storm. It snowed for 12 hours and temps dropped. We were warm and cozy. The streets were cleared first thing in the morning. A+ for this property!

Great House!
Visit Tahoe every summer and have never felt at home as we did in this house. Family of five stayed for 4 absolutely magical nights. It’s very easy to find and get into the house. It is clean and has all you’ll need for dining in. There’s even a private beach! The kids loved evening swims and watching the sunset over the mountains. The location is a short drive from beaches and hiking on the east shore and casinos and heavenly village. Overall best stay we’ve had in Lake Tahoe.
