Beautiful Multi-Family/Multi-Couple Vacation Rental steps to Douglas Beach and all the Saugatuck-Douglas area has to offer. Coastal Pines is a gorgeous, newly updated 4 bedroom, 3 full bath house just a short walk to Douglas Beach. The house includes several amenities that will make it the perfect domain for any family or group looking to experience all Michigan has to offer no matter what time of year. These include comfortable mattresses, soft bedding, new furniture, a fully equipped kitchen, Wifi, Cable, outdoor grill, fireplace, beach essentials, and much more. All furnishings, appliances, and supplies are new! The vacation home rental is located right off the Beach to Bayou bike/walking trail that leads to downtown Douglas (1 mile) and downtown Saugatuck (2 miles). This ideal location also allows you to easily visit Oval Beach(2 miles), Apple/Cherry/Blueberry Orchards, Wineries, Breweries, Pumpkin Farms, and Saugatuck Dunes State Park for hiking. Experience all of Pure Michigan by staying at Coastal Pines on Chestnut Lane in Douglas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Douglas gem. Our family included our new 2 month old granddaughter this year! The finished basement area gave plenty of space and privacy for them. A short walk to Douglas beach, coffee and the Root Beer Barrel. We also enjoyed s'mores by the firepit. Highly recommend!

This house is fantastic. It is exactly as advertised, clean and spacious. It is a great location with only a short walk to Douglas Beach. It had everything my family needed for our stay. I would love to rent this property again - it was perfect.

This house was amazing. The kitchen was very well appointed, with everything we needed. The entire house was very clean and neat upon our arrival, and the host kindly had it cleaned early for us, as we had traveled a long way and were getting in earlier than check in time.
The host was easily accessible which was great, although we didn't have any issues, but thank you for being available!
There was a lot to do at the house itself; horseshoes, firepit, outside grill and eating area, shuffleboard, etc. The area had so much to offer: a short distance walk to a coffee shop, a root beer keg, several wineries within close driving distance, two lovely historical towns nearby, not to mention the small (but plenty of room!) local beach within walking distance, which had beautiful sunsets!
Would definitely stay here again. Big thumbs up!!!

Long weekend with family
We took our two girls who are still living at home and met up with their older brothers and the better halves - the perfect location for quick access to Saugatuck and a very nice public beach, just a block down the road. The house was clean, had a great back yard with large deck, fire pit and horseshoes! Perfect for our group of 8. The house was equipped with the essentials. Thanks for letting us use your home for our long weekend with family!

Wonderful house!
Fabulous property, beautiful, clean, stocked with every amenity we could ever need and then some. Loved the house setup, finished basement for kids, firepit, welcome basket with smores supplies. Notebook with house/ neighborhood info was so helpful. Found the great little shortcut to the beach! This property worked out perfectly for our family of 9 and is beautifully managed. Highly recommend!

Perfect Saugatuck/Douglas Girls Weekend!
This house was perfect for our girls weekend! Amazing location that made it easy to get downtown, to the beach, and surrounding wineries/breweries. Shane was the perfect host as well, making sure that we got all the needed information for check in as well as a sweet welcome basket! My only suggestion is to try and have people carpool if they’re coming from the same area, but we were able to make it work with all ten of us coming from different directions. You won’t regret staying in this beautiful and spacious house!

Love this place!
We’ve been coming for years. Love the Douglas Beach and walking/biking Lakeshore Rd. This home is ideally located. Loved working with Shane, the owner. He makes it simple. Home is very clean and well cared for. Layout for our family was the best. Loved the fire pit at night. Beds are extremely comfortable. It’s a great place and I highly recommend it!!!!

Lovely home in beautiful area
We enjoyed our week in this home. Very comfortable and cozy. Loved the back yard fire pit. The lower level sectional was a favorite place for all seven of us the relax in the evening play games and watch movies.
We enjoyed walking to Douglas beach and riding our bikes around the neighborhood.

Family Beach Vacation
Our week-long vacation was just what the family needed. We gathered for the first time since the shut-down at this lovely home, and went to the beach every day. The Coastal Pines home accommodations were perfect. A large enough table, inside and out, for meals and board games. We walked over to the lake to see the sunset every evening. A perfect week for us, thank you!

Great Stay, Close to the Beach
When we walked in for the first time there was soothing music on the TVs and it was very welcoming and clean! We had 4 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The finished basement was great for the kids to hang out as they had their own room with 3 beds down there...tv and shuffleboard. Two full size fridges in the house was great so that we didn't have to worry about fridge space! The location was great as it was only a short 2 minute walk to the beach stairs. Great for walks every day down lakeshore drive. Close drive (less than 10 minutes) to Saugatuck as well for the downtown shops/boats, etc. We saw packs of deer walking by each and every day, very cool. The backyard is in a wooded area, so bring the bug spray for the mosquitos. Overall it was a great stay and everyone loved it. Would definitely recommend!

Great trip at a beautiful home
The home was absolutely stunning and perfect for a weeklong vacation. The basement and fire pit were great places to enjoy the evenings while our 18 month old slept soundly. You can’t ask for a better location, and the neighborhood is really peaceful. A highlight for our kiddo was seeing deer every morning and evening in the backyard. Thank you to Shane for being a great host.

Great location by the Lake
We spent a wonderful three days in this well-appointed house, 1 block from the beach. The extra features such as the top notch sound system, the backyard firepit (and grill), the beach towels and the inside and outside games all make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even if you never leave the house. The owners/managers were very easy to contact when needed, which just made us feel even more welcome. In addition, this house is two minutes from a semi-private beach, and a very short drive from the centers of Douglas and Saugatuck. Hike in the dunes, swim the lake, take a boat out, or just enjoy the shops and restaurants. There is so much to do and it is all accessible within minutes. Highly recommended.

Beautiful getaway!!
I can’t recommend this rental enough. Shane was very communicative, thorough and even kindly let us extend our check in/check out times to accommodate the schedules of our large group. He provided a very detailed handbook with helpful information on nearby attractions and instructions to everything in the house. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL, updated and fully stocked with all the amenities you could ask for including an awesome fire pit, huge cooler and beach towels, all of which we very much appreciated and utilized. He even provided a sweet welcome gift!! Location is >5 min walk from Douglas Beach. We had a group of 11 and it felt very spacious. We are so appreciative of you letting us utilize your lovely home for the weekend!! Best rental experience I’ve ever had. A great time was had by all and I’d definitely rent this place again in the future. Thank you!!

Pristine Home in a Great Location
We had a wonderful time at Coastal Pines! The house was beautiful and in perfect condition. We tend to be very picky about rental homes feeling very clean, and this one was wonderful. They had every amenity you could ask for- beach equipment, kitchen supplies, clean towels and even shampoo in the showers. It was a very short walk to Douglas Beach and a quick drive into Saugatuck which made going anywhere a snap!

Our daughters, granddaughters, mom, hubs, and I stayed here for a short 4 night vacay, and it was perfect. Very clean. Plenty of room. Better than the pictures. Close to everything.

The house was perfect for our party of 11! Kitchen and main living area was larger than appears in photos. The bunkhouse was ideal for the kids and the basement was cozy. It was well supplied with beach towels, chairs, and cooler. The outdoor space was great too!

Enjoyed a 3 night stay with 8 adults and 3 toddlers. The home was immaculate and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for the kids to play. A short walk to Douglas beach and a great neighborhood for morning or evening strolls. Would love to stay here again!

Gorgeous house in amazing location!
We absolutely loved our stay at coastal pines! Our family had never been to the area and were not sure what to expect but we were blown away by the house and the location.
Upon arrival the house was emmaculate. You can tell a lot of work went into the design and furnishing of the house -I felt like I stepped into a magazine as everything was beautiful and perfectly in place! The beds and linens were amazingly comfortable. The huge basement had tons of space to spread out and our kids loved the bunk room. The set up of the main floor and basement allows for good separation if folks want to do different things or have some privacy if traveling with multiple families. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and has a great nook for morning coffee.
You cannot beat the location - it is literally steps from Lake Michigan. We visited over spring break which isn’t quite beach weather around here, but we still enjoyed walking along the lake and playing in the sand.
Shane was so easy to work with, answered all of our questions and gave thoughtful recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The house has a great updated feel to it and far exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to book our next stay!
