About this apartment rental
Swallows View, situated in an elevated position in the town of Matlock offers wonderful accommodation for four people in two bedrooms, one bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and large en-suite bathroom comprising of bath and shower over bath, toilet and sink and another large twin bedroom.
The apartment can sleep an extra 2 if the sofa bed in the open plan living area is used (To be requested when booking). There is also a separate shower room with toilet and sink, all bathrooms are with fixed heated towel rails.
There is a large open plan living area with dining space and a full size, well equipped kitchen, this is a great place to chill out with friends and relax over a glass of wine!
The living area has a large TV with freeview, DVD player and free wifi.
All bed linen, towels, toilet rolls, hand soap and washing up liquid supplied plus a welcome pack including water, tea, coffee, sugar and milk.
This third floor apartment occupies an exceptional, south-facing position with breathtaking views towards Riber Castle, overlooking the town of Matlock and the Derwent Valley, situated on the edge of the Peak District.
Private off road parking.
Secure large garage and lock up for motor bikes and bicycles, etc.. on request.
Great for families, cyclists and walkers etc... There are 2 other Holiday let apartments in the same building - 'Skylark view' which is similar and 'Birds Nest' which is at the top of the building and an open plan space for 2 guests.
There is a pub on the same road within a 5 min walk and the main town of Matlock is a 10 min walk down the hill.
The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, have been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its show caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze.
South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. Only 8 miles away is the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park, and Haddon Hall. The famous spa town of Buxton is also worth a visit.
With-in the same building there is a communal area shared with the 3 holiday apartments comprising of washing machine, dryer and extra freezer space.

A fantastic stay in a perfect place. The flat was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great beds and lovely views all round from the windows. Well equipped and great communication from owners.

Excellent property, but be prepared to climb the stairs. Matlock itself was a bit disappointing but it is central for many day trips.

A fabulous 2 bed flat, excellently furnished and finished, all you would want for your stay. However, there may be a slight hiccup if you have mobility issues but don't let that deter you. I would highly recommend staying here, the views of Chatsworth House and the surrounding countryside from the kitchen/lounge window are just superb. Oh and the pub 50 yrds away is welcoming and cheerful with nice a outside space out front.

Absolutely brilliant
Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The property is well kept with excellent views. I had the best nights sleep in years thanks to high quality mattresses. In short the experience was nothing short of 5 stars.

Wonderful Stay
What a gorgeous flat. Sparkling clean on arrival and everything to a very high standard. Lovely comfy beds and everything that you could possibly need. The views were gorgeous and Kate was so helpful and friendly. Thankyou so much, we all had a lovely relaxing break 😊

Simply the best - Stunning views

Have just spent the weekend with friends in this lovely spacious apartment. Exceptionally clean. Well equipped. Beds really comfortable. Great base for walking in the area.
Found the pub along the road too late in our stay to take full advantage of!
We certainly anticipate a return in the future.

This is a beautiful appartment in a wonderful location and even the very steep hill wouldnt stop us staying here again.We used the local chip shop which was wonderful and so friendly.The country went on lock down as we arrived but we still had a fabulous weekend who needs pubs.Would definately recommend a stay here.Hosts very helpful

A dream stay from start to finish
We absolutely loved our stay at Swallow View - we had a lovely welcome from the owners and were so impressed with the accomodation. Immaculately finished, very comfortable and they had even decorated it for Christmas, which was a lovely touch.
The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in during our travels and was much appreciated, being pregnant!
Great location, close to Matlock, Matlock Bath and then Bakewell, Chatsworth and the Peak District. Shops and restaurants all within easy reach.
We would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.

Chatsworth Christmas market
We chose swallows view for two couples as we were coming from Essex to the chatsworth Christmas market event. Apartment was perfect for our needs and exceeded expectations. Highly recommend swallows view and chatsworth.

What a Good Spot!
We got a warm welcome to Swallow View. It's spacious, well furnished and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Highly recommended, this will be our first choice when visiting again.
