“Lady Poseidon” a spacious home with the quiet, understated features of a world-class retreat. With 6 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, an expansive great room, a media room, and a secluded Primary Suite, it encompasses 5,800 square feet of refined living space.

First Floor:
The great room consists of the open, gourmet kitchen, living room, and dining area all with spectacular ocean views.
The professionally outfitted kitchen features a Thermador fridge, professional Thermador gas range with hood, ice maker, microwave/oven drawer, and dishwasher. The granite counters extend to the incredibly large island with enough room for 9 stools. The dining room table seats 10.
The living room offers amazing ocean views and access to the covered porch with a large TV mounted. The entertainment system includes a Stereo, DVD player, and multi-room speakers.
Five guest bedrooms occupy the First Floor.

For the sports enthusiast in your group, the oversized media room features a large TV. The full wet bar with sink and mini-fridge will keep all the refreshments nearby! There are two comfortable sofas along with two sleeper ottomans.
The gas fireplace is not for guest use.
Second Floor:
The second floor is designated entirely for the Primary Suite. The King bed is prominently located to make the best of the superb views of the ocean. There is a wall-mounted TV. Perhaps enjoy the private, covered balcony for your morning coffee or after-dinner drink. The sitting area offers separate sofa seating, desk, and morning kitchen complete with sink, fridge, and dishwasher.
The Primary Bath is a stylish and spa-like oasis. It includes a jetted, claw-foot tub, 2 separate granite-topped vanities, and a huge walk-in shower with body sprays and rain-head shower-head.

Outdoors Area
The large private pool and spa will supply hours of relaxation and comfort as you enjoy the ocean breezes.
Whatever your preference, your stay at this immaculate island home will be one you will always remember!
Gas Spa Heat Add-On is available for an additional fee of $600 plus taxes and fees.
This is an integrated spa "Spillover". The spa runs on-demand with a timer system. Turn spa on 30-60 minutes prior to use. It will shut off after 2-3 hours. For continued use repeat the process. It does not remain hot 24/7.
"Lady Poseidon” is located near a transition zone from the swimming beach area to the non-swimming breach inlet. Caution should be taken when swimming in this area at all times. If the weather is inclement, it is best to walk northeast up the beach four to six houses to swim in the ocean. Beach activities are enjoyable at any time.

Pricing  & Availability:
Enter arrival dates and departure dates. Click the book now button to view the price and associated fees.  For part of April through part of October our homes only rent for 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday stays.  During late fall, winter & early spring, you may rent this home for 3 or more nights, excluding Holidays.
--Policy--
When making an online reservation on VRBO,  you will receive a confirmation and a contract from East Islands Rentals once you book this home.  The contract must be returned within 24 hours to keep your reservation!  Payments are not collected until the contract has been returned and reviewed by  East Islands Rentals.
Damage Protection:
In lieu of a security deposit, a Damage Protection Policy is added to protect you up to $3,000.00 of damages during your stay.  
Travel Insurance:
East Islands Rentals offers travel insurance to all of its guests through Rental Guardian. Rental Guardian's specialty is the Vacation Rental Industry.  Travel Insurance covers you in the occurrence of a possible natural disaster threat to our area, medical emergencies, loss of a family member, loss of a job, etc. The cost is about 7% of your rental cost plus taxes and fees. Please email for the exact cost. It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance through the Management Company.   Once a reservation is made the Management Company can add the Rental Guardian policy to your reservation.
If Travel Insurance is purchased through VRBO/Homeaway (CSA-Homeaway policy) their policy does not cover any delays or interruption of a stay, especially if a natural disaster occurs, such as Hurricane.  Management Company will not be able to refund any monies or move your reservation.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2 of 8 of us live here in the Charleston area. The other 6 traveled from Indiana. My wife rented this property 13 years ago for my 50th surprise birthday party. All of these visitors were at that event as well. There is no question the property, the location, and general aura of an IOP property is ideal for time away with friends. We were disappointed in the overall condition of the home this time vs our 1st rental experience...the 1st time, it was pristine...this time, the property was very tired. Bathrooms need rot repair, the kitchen cabinets need repair, trim in numerous areas need repair and caulking, the furniture is dirty and worn, the kitchen area needs paining, the TVs and cable system are antique, the floors were grungy, the elevator didn’t work, and the exterior grounds at back were not well kept at all.We had a good time but we were disappointed that $12K was not able to lease a first class vacation spot like we remembered from before.I offer this as constructive feedback regarding the property. The rental staff an IOP was great.

The layout was great, allowing everyone access to the communal areas. Elevator was a bit flakey and the bathrooms on the main floor need recaulking at least. Oven was very slow to heat up, but cooked well once it reached temperature.

Grandson required multiple stitches in his foot from one of many sharp nails sticking up on the walkway to the beach. Pool area is infested with ants. Maintenance guy said there was nothing that he could do about either.

DON’T BOOK THIS PLACE. Find another down the road and you’ll be much happier. The property management team does not take care of this home. Despite all the previous reviews saying: “fix the steps, everyone got splinters” and “there are no kitchen towels” all those issues were still unresolved when we got there. Very disappointing that even after they’re made aware of these issues there is no change. One day a man with East Islands Property management unlocked the front door and came into the house while we were there. It was extremely uncomfortable, unprofessional and an invasion of privacy. They seemed to have someone at the house every day of our 10 day stay. The icing on the cake for us was when ON THE LAST DAY the pool finally worked and was warm and clean. But then the lawn guy came over for the entire afternoon to make things look nice “because the owner was coming tomorrow.” He wrecked the pool with all the grass and dirt and we couldn’t swim in it. It’s so obvious they only cared about it looking nice for the owner and didn’t give a rip about our experience. They spent the whole week trying to fix things for the owner at the expense of our trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have a large family of 16. We were able to coordinate a vacation for 12 of us. Lady Poseidon was a wonderful home to experience the Charleston area- the generous porch with 180 degree view of the ocean was the perfect spot to gather for morning coffee, happy hour and after dinner chatting. The spot is perfect - cute town of IOP and a short 20 minute trip into the city. It was all of our first experience in Charleston area and we all want to come back and stay at Lady Poseidon. Only one improvement recommended - BBQ doesn't work - the men in our family are all experts at the BBQ - so dinner plans had to change -we recommend either replacing the BBQ or remove it as an amenity.The management company staff were so friendly and helpful.

We greatly appreciated the promptness of the work that could be done while there. Upon arrival the house is impressive. The beds were comfortable, though no mattress or pillow case covers. The elevator was broken which was a disappointment. The house was well worn, the furniture in main room impractical and the the house was over all very dirty. Overall the house was fine and we had a lovely stay with great memories and grateful for the time had.
