- The beach house sits in a quiet residential neighborhood and we are committed to keeping it peaceful. If you're looking to party this is NOT the house for you.
- Bright, light-filled house on a cul-de-sac, just 0.5 miles (~10 minute walk) through a nice residential beach community to Seacliff State Beach.
- Backyard relaxation - read a book in the hammock or enjoy a game of bocce ball
- Fully equipped kitchen complete with Wolf gas stove
- Outside dining on both front and back patios
- Living room includes a gas fireplace for a beautiful warm fire at the click of a switch
- 2 bedroom, 1 bath; two queen beds and a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa
- All you need for a day at the beach - beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboard and beach toys; outdoor shower for rinsing off
- High speed WiFi and 55" Smart TV with Roku (Netflix, Pandora, Internet TV, No cable or local channels),
- Full-size washer and dryer; scent-free laundry detergent
- Walk to local Seacliff favorites - Marianne's Ice Cream parlor and Pizza My Heart
- Convenient, five-minute drive to Safeway, coffee shops and Aptos Farmers Market
- Complimentary use of vehicle day use pass for local state parks and beaches
- Like all beaches in northern California we do get visits from seals, dolphins, whales and the occasional shark. We like to call it nature ... please plan accordingly.
- Due to Santa Cruz County restrictions no events or parties allowed on the property
- Check-in is 4:00pm, and check out is 11:00am. We can accommodate early check in or late check out depending on availability. Please confirm with owner before making plans.
- The beach house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized per California Guidelines after each guest.
- Cancellation Policy: 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival. NO REFUND if cancelled less than 14 days before arrival. If you are concerned about cancelling due to Covid or other emergencies, please buy travel insurance. We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.

This was the perfect house for our little getaway trip with our family of 5. We had all the amenities we needed, very clean, close to the beach, and lots of restaurants/grocery stores nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a great spot to have our first vacation as a family of 5. We have small children and wanted to have somewhere close to the beach but still in a quiet neighborhood. This spot was great. They loved the backyard when we weren't at the beach, especially the hammock. All the amenities were great and while it was close to everything, the neighborhood was quiet and lots of families enjoying the nice weather.

My husband and two children stayed here for 3 nights. We would have stayed longer if it was available! This is the perfect amount of space for the 4 of us. The outside seating/space made it feel so spacious. The neighborhood was very quiet. I loved the fact that we had a state park pass to use as Seacliff Beach is close by. We chose to drive there instead of walk. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the beds were comfortable, and the washer and dryer worked well. The information binder was a plus! We’d love to come back for a stay again and explore more of the area. Just a heads up, at this time, there tends to be a lot of traffic on highway 1, so plan your travel time accordingly if going to Santa Cruz.

Colm's beach house is amazing! It had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful, quite location, a short walk to the beach and a good coffee shop and pizza place. We would highly recommend the Classic Beach House!

This was one of the most well appointed, beautiful vacation rentals we have ever used! 2 outdoor patios and seating areas, a hammock, 2 sets of french doors, and all the amenities PLUS outdoor games and lights. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The location was fantastic as well, and Colm was a wonderful host. Definitely a 5 star experience.

The beach house was perfect for our family of 5. It is clean, well appointed, and conveniently located. It is exactly as advertised and the owner is kind and responsive. We enjoyed many walks to the beach and visiting nearby Monterey Bay Aquarium, redwood forests, Santa Cruz beaches and wharf, and Pinnacles National Park.

This was a first time visit to Santa Cruz for a friend and her family from Las Vegas. The house was perfectly located, easy to find, nestled in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The host was very responsive. The guest book was full of helpful information about the area, including a street map for a 10 minute walk to the beach. You don't have to wander far for groceries or a delicious ice cream treat. The house features two relaxing patios. The outdoor lighting for the front patio was enchanting at night.

Well outfitted and very lovely and comfortable home, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and more. It has a great outdoor set-up with sitting and eating areas, bocce ball, and more. We loved our time there!

This little cottage is extremely well done. Lots of outdoor space, inside space is well laid out, furnishings are new and modern, etc. We were extremely impressed and are hoping to go back next year! Well done Colm and Stephanie!

The house was spotless. Beds are super comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Everything you could imagine needing was there. The owner is very responsive and was wonderful to my mom and me on our girls trip vacation. We will definitely be back. Thanks Colm for everything!!

We had a great family getaway at Colm's lovely property. It's a very relaxed, low-key beach house; wonderfully appointed with everything you might need to enjoy the local beaches or just chill in the back yard. We had three generations on site, so it was really helpful to have a quiet reading spot (the hammock got a lot of use), as well as more social areas like the outdoor dining area. The state parks pass was a particular benefit of staying at this house--one or all of us could run down to the beach for a dusk walk, or the whole day. Colm was a gracious host -- accessible, easygoing, welcoming, just like his house. We had a great time!

The house was clean, spacious for a family of four, and comfortable. But the best part is the outdoor space. There are two tables for outdoor dining, a wonderful hammock, two comfortable Adirondack chairs, and an area for Bocce ball and corn hole. Plus, the property has everything you need for the beach—a beach umbrella, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, a standup paddle board, and sand toys. We highly recommend this house for families with active kids.

The Kennedy Beach House is in a great location--very quite neighborhood. We spend a lot of time on Capitola beach and it's only about 10 minutes away. The house appears to have been recently remodeled. The open floor plan of the house is light and livable. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved everything about the property, and area, and all that Aptos had to offer. Our host was fantastic. He was very kind and responsive. The little things provided by the owner (state park day pass, items for the kids to enjoy, games [inside and out] were really nice amenities. We would absolutely stay here again as it was a great hub for our daily adventures.

We had a great stay at Kennedy beach house. It was perfectly set up for family time with our young boys, and there was more beach equipment than we could possibly use. The kitchen was nice and spacious too!

We loved our stay here! The cottage is cozy and inviting, perfect for spending time with family and friends. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the hammock, and loved riding the bikes to the beach every evening to catch the sunset. In a perfect location and well stocked with everything you need for a family getaway including comfortable beds, an awesome kitchen, outdoor games and sports equipment, and a fireplace for chilly, rainy days. We hope to come back!

Lovely, peaceful, spacious, comfortable. I especially loved hearing the Great Horned Owl nearby every night. Kitchen was impeccably stocked. Beds comfy, bathroom nice! Bummer about the buckets of rain which kept us from the beach, but huddled by the fireplace as also lovely. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is really nice and clean and has everything you need. Lots of outdoor activity equipment such as bocce balls, soccer ball, football, basket ball... We were able to play bocce ball when there was a break in the rain. Perfect location for a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium - only 45 minutes away, Santa Cruz, Tide Pools and lots more.
