About this house rental

Perfect for lake lovers, football fans, telecommuting or remote school - only 10 minutes by boat or car to Clemson University, with lake views and a large dock on deep water. This beautiful 3,600 square foot custom home is located in a quiet neighborhood 500 yards from the Martin's Creek boat launch so it’s easy to get your boat and jet ski in the water, and convenient to Clemson University (4 miles) and Clemson Marina.

The space:

The home sleeps 14 and features a vaulted two story living room with stone fireplace, a loft with foosball table and sitting area, two dining areas and gourmet kitchen. Wireless internet throughout the home makes it easy to telecommute, stream movies or browse the internet. Guests can entertain themselves with satellite TV on 4 large flat screen TVs, 2 DVD players, 100+ title DVD library, stereo, board games, or play on the foosball and ping pong tables.

The back deck has adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, dining seating for 8, and a gas grill. A fire pit overlooking the water was installed in late 2020. A paved, nearly level path leads to an extra-wide covered dock on deep water with space to tie up boats on two sides. The home has plenty of parking, including a 2-car garage.

All 5 spacious bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, new furniture and linens, and lots of closet space.

* The master bedroom is on the main level and has a lake view and king sized bed along with a sitting area and TV. The master bath is large, with a separate toilet room, Jacuzzi bath, large shower, and closet.
* Bedroom #2 on the main level has a queen bed and TV, with adjacent bathroom
* Bedroom #3 upstairs has a queen bed and a shared bath
* Bedroom #4 upstairs has two queen beds and sitting area with TV and a shared bath
* Bedroom #5 upstairs has a twin/twin and twin/full bunk beds and a shared bath

Enjoy many water activities off of the secluded deep water cove including boating, sailing, waterskiing, canoeing, and fishing. Very close to several golf courses and walking trails. Entertainment is easily accessible in Clemson (10 minutes to campus) and Anderson (20 minutes).

The property is beautiful and the home was extremely clean. It was easy for my children to get Ubers to and from downtown Clemson University, even late at night. We came down for the week to enjoy two football games and the stay couldn’t have been more perfect!

We really enjoyed our time at the lake. The house was great-, but my one suggestion would be to add another fridge- for our large group and a week's stay, another fridge would have been helpful for drinks...The house is big and easily accommodated our group of 14. And the dock was the perfect place to play, swim, paddleboard...Great vacay at the lake.

Had a wonderful week on Lake Hartwell at this property. Two adults and three kids, and we all had a blast. The house is spacious with plenty of room, and very kid friendly. Jeff was very responsive to a couple questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

The owners answered any questions promptly, I asked them for an earlier check in because we flew in red eye, Jeff got right back to me and had no problem with us checking int early. Everything was perfect! So much room in the house and we enjoyed sitting on the deck daily. There was 3 couples and my adult son staying at the house 5 days 4 nights

What a beautiful home! This home was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. Even in the rain, we enjoyed playing the board games. The lake view and access is amazing, and the home was very well stocked. Close to Seneca and Clemson for any shopping/entertainment needs. We will be back!

Wonderful house for a big family!

Let me start by saying we have been renting houses through VRBO for over 15 years. This was one of the best experiences from booking to check out that we have ever had. The house is beautifully decorated, very well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen. Plenty of pots, pans, silverware, plates, bowl, storage containers, you name it. Only thing we are used to having is a pantry to put food in but we made due with the areas we could find. Two tables with room enough for 14 to sit and eat. The open space with 2 sitting areas was awesome. Whoever was in the kitchen could still be in the mix for conversation! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable beds. While we brought our own, there are even beach towels to use. The dock was perfect! The steps in and out of the water are angled which makes entry and exit so much easier when enjoying the lake. And wow so much seating everywhere, inside and out including the porch, dock and fire pit. Our ages ranged from 1 to 80 and everyone was able to enjoy the house and the water. The walk to the dock is paved with only a slight incline. We did miss having a basement to "banish" the screaming kids to but it was also nice to have everyone on the same floor unless they were in their bedrooms. Having the master as well as an additional bedroom on the main floor was a bonus. Shopping for groceries wasn't too far and we were only about 15 to 20 minutes from my Alma Mater Clemson via driving and less than 10 in our boat. Not much of a yard for the kids to play but the dock was so nice we didn't even miss it this year. We brought two inflatable kayaks and our boat and the cove was very quiet for using both but also close to big water for tubing. Parking is plenty for 5 cars easy with one in garage. We all were very happy with this house. The owner was very quick to respond to questions and we received the most informative check in details ever! We appreciate all the small things that showed the owners obviously care about their guests having a good time when visiting!

This home and dock provided everything needed for a family of 14. We loved the open floor plan. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The fire pit was great for a night of s’mores. Kitchen fully equipped. The dock was fabulous. Plenty of room for everyone— lots of fishing and jumping off dock with nice big ladder in a nice quiet cove. We rented a boat, kayak, and paddle board. Delivery of all three very accommodating. Jeff and Sarah very responsive to our questions. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful property, spacious well-equipped house with room for a few families or several couples. We were in and out w/graduation festivities, but could easily stay at the house and enjoy the lake for the whole time. Jeff and Sarah were great to work with especially with the Covid ambiguity and possible cancellation of events. Have a new Clemson Tiger coming in this year and can't wait to stay again!

We really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and the week we had playing in the lake. The house is extremely stocked with kitchen items, linens, towels, chairs, etc. We were very comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet and stores are close enough. If I had one negative about the property would be the lack of garbage cans. It would be nice if there could be four total cans, two for the previous guest and two for the incoming guest, since the trash doesn't run until Tuesday mornings.

This house was exceptional. Better than expected and wonderful in so many ways. It was close to Clemson as we were there for a football game. It was spacious for our large family of 8 adults and five children. It was cozy and warm, with lots of comfortable seating. It provided every possible accessory from towels and washcloths to pots and pans ... but most importantly it allowed our family to share some wonderful quality time together in a large accommodating living space. We will be back! Its the only house we want to stay in each time we travel up from Florida!

We had a small group in town for a Clemson football game and lake day after. The property is very well kept and met our every need for comfort and socializing. But even better, the location really sets it apart. Besides being a beautiful spot on the lake, the dock itself is high quality and the boating we did (we rented) was a ton of fun. Great views of the Clemson campus are only a 5 minute boat ride away, and heading south are huge open areas of water to ski/tube, or just ride around. The lake is very very nice. Finally, the owners were readily available to help if needed, and were very easy to deal with. We didn't actually need them for anything though, everything was exactly as advertised. Our group would definitely recommend this property. First class!
