About this house rental
Beautiful four season home located in highly desired Tanglwood Lakes Resort golf community of Lake Wallenpaupack. Watch the most beautiful sunsets over Lake Wallenpaupack on a large, spacious deck with patio seating for 8ppl. Fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, coffee maker, utensils, etc...) with stainless steel appliances, outdoor BBQ, 8 person hot tub, fire pit w/adirondack chairs, Smart TV with surround sound theater system, wireless internet, HVAC, washer/dryer, wood burning fireplace, heated garage, free parking on premises, two decks, foosball, dartboard, numerous board games and DVD's available for use.

Tanglwood Lakes Community Association Amenities:
Beach – The beautiful beach on Lake Wallenpaupack is one of only 2 permitted beaches on the big lake. The beach is open to residents from Memorial Day to Labor Day with Lifeguards on duty from 10am to 6pm every day. The TLCA area includes a beautiful covered gazebo with seating and cooking facilities, a bathhouse with rest rooms, an open deck picnic platform and additional picnic tables and charcoal grills on the grounds. There is also a volleyball court and paved parking areas.
Marina – TLCA has a marina with 105 permitted boat slips which are rented annually. There is also a boat ramp for residents who choose to launch boats periodically for a yearly or daily fee.
Playground/Ball field – Tanglwood has a large playground for children in the midst of the community. At that location there is also a basketball court, a ball field and a handball court for residents to enjoy outdoor sporting activities. The basketball court is converted to an ice skating rink in the winter.
Briarwood Trail – Across from the playground we have a scenic 1 mile hiking trail around a beautiful stream to enjoy a peaceful walk in the woods. A variety of trees, animals and birds can be enjoyed in the lovely area.
Lake Tanglwood – This beautiful pristine lake is a perfect setting for canoeing, kayaking and fishing, with docks and boat racks at 2 locations on the lake. The docks provide a perfect location for fishing with children/grandchildren.
Community Center /Fitness Room – In close proximity to the 18th hole of the Paupack Hills Country Club, is the TLCA the community center. There is also a small library and Wi-Fi is available. The building also will soon house a new fitness center with top grade commercial aerobic equipment and a universal weight system. Outdoors at the center there is a picnic area with bocce ball court and horseshoe pit for residents to enjoy.
Tennis Courts – The community operates and maintains a newly renovated 2-court tennis area on the Paupack Hills Country club property. Equipment for “Senior-Friendly” pickleball is also available at the golf club pro-shop.
Paupack Hills Country Club – Nestled inside our community is the beautiful privately- owned PPH championship golf club. The Club offers TLCA property owners reduced playing fees and includes a convenient full-service restaurant.
Maintenance Dept. – TLCA has a small maintenance staff that provides weekly garbage pick-up, facility maintenance, grounds and road maintenance including winter snow plowing.
Public Safety – The Safety staff is on duty from 7a to 11p (1am on weekends) daily to enforce the Communities rules and regulations. These duties include speed enforcement to protect the safety of our pedestrians and golf cart drivers, enforcement of property maintenance guidelines and they conduct regular patrols of all locations to keep our residents safe and provide assistance as required.

We had a lovely end of summer getaway, with my sister and her 1 year old twins. The layout worked for managing the kids (gated the upper floor) with nice views of the greenery including regular deer visits on mornings. My family has come to that part of the Poconos for 3 generations, so the area feels like home. Sunset Haven matched our vibe perfectly.

This year, we decided to spend Christmas in the Poconos and what a great decision it was! Sunset Haven was a remarkable home with thoughtful touches everywhere. Our small group ranged in age from 8 - 78 and we all had a blast. From the well stocked fireplace to every kitchen tool and gadget imaginable, and from Golden Tee to the bunk beds, we had a fantastic stay. John and Amanda were gracious hosts, reachable at all times, and very understanding as we had a few hiccups when using the fireplace and hot tub. They were patient and helpful. I'd gladly return any time!

After a hectic summer we looked forward to some time away to relax. This was the perfect solution. The property was wonderful, communication with the owners was seamless and the location was perfect. It was also a treat that the fall foliage was beautiful. We would definitely enjoy returning any time.

First, I must emphasize that the photos of this house do not show how great this place is. It felt like a home away from home. It had everything you could need. Everything was easy to find. Kitchen was organized and fully stocked with any appliance you could need. Game room was set up perfectly. Great sound system, fireplace, fooseball, large tv, darts. The decor was really neat. It had areas to party, areas to relax and read a book or sit in peace and quiet, and areas to accommodate a group. We would and will definitely stay here again.

Girls weekend
There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house is very warm and welcoming and fully stocked with anything you might need to make yourself even more comfortable. The HOT TUB on the screened in porch provided a perfect place to relax with a beverage and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area; including deer and numerous birds. We had an absolutely fabulous time and will certainly go back again !! John and Amanda are incredible hosts and certainly do everything they can to ensure a pleasureable stay !!

Loved this place. It’s even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous fireplace great hot tub. Master bath is gorgeous. The kitchen is master chef ready. Everything you could want. If there was one negative. There is only 1 tv in the entire house. So you all have to watch the same thing

Fantastic Long Weekend
The home is beautiful and the location perfect for us! Close to the golf course and club house as well as many restaurants. We visited in the fall and the trees were beautiful. We will definitely be coming back!

Terrific friends getaway
John and Amanda were great hosts. Communication with them was excellent. The home is spacious, super clean, and in a great location. We rented a golf cart from the pro shop for our stay and had fun riding around the beautiful community and feeding the deer right out of our hands!

Perfect getaway in the woods!
We had an amazing time at Sunset Haven. I’ve never stayed at a home which was so well stocked! The kitchen had all the essentials and more. Having some of the basic pantry items was so helpful as was having all the linens and towels. Our kids loved the play gym in the backyard. The highlight for me was the fireplace and hot tub and games. The recommendation for nearby restaurants were helpful. Our favorite was The Dock. This is a great place to go for some rest and relaxation. Thanks John and Amanda!

The house was gorgeous and very spacious. My friends and I were looking for a mini getaway from the city and this place had everything that we were looking for. Felt like part of the family
Sunset Haven fit our group very well. We made use of nearly every amenity that was part of the property and it really felt like we were part of the hosts family. The open pantry was great - there was even Worcestershire sauce to add in to our burgers, our 5 yr old loved playing Foosball with Grandpa and the neighborhood was great for walks. The house was clean, check in was smooth and there was plenty of space.

Long family weekend at the lake
My wife and I rented this wonderful home for a long weekend at the lake. It was a great time. The house was perfect and very cozy. Very clean and well decorated. The lake was just a short ways down the road. John and Amanda did a great job at making my family feel right at home. The hot tube was a nice bonus too. Beautiful views all around you. We certainly can't wait to come back some day and because of how great this house was we will be.

Amazing!!!
This property was amazing!! The cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at using the VRBO site! The property owners were beyond incredible and accommodating to our early check in need. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything possible!!! My only suggestion would be to have a baby gate for the top of the stairs available if guests need it! Truly amazing!! 😁
