About this cottage rental

Liliiflora Cottage is a modern “dogtrot” style home.
The home is provisioned with all of the necessities and conveniences to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The “Dog Trot” design allows each of the two bedrooms to open onto a large, screened breezeway, which is great for sleeping with the doors and windows open on cool nights. The porch is a great place to relax in one of the hanging hammock chairs and read a good book. The main house has vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen, half bath, laundry and a living area with large screen TV and wireless internet.

Liliiflora Cottage is conveniently located within a short walk to East Beach and only a short bike ride to Ocean Spring’s charming downtown area. Downtown Ocean Springs is host to the famous Walter Anderson Museum and the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center, you’ll also find unique shops, art galleries, museums, the best restaurants on the coast and lots of friendly people. There is almost always something going on downtown, farmers markets and festivals during the day and plenty of night life with great live music at night. The Inner Harbor is only a couple of minutes away and is a great place to buy fresh shrimp right off the boat or book a fishing trip to the barrier islands. The area offers plenty of great fishing that is easily accessible if you prefer to bring your own boat (parking available on site). Shearwater Pottery is just east of the harbor and is an interesting place to stop in. Just a little further up the road is Front Beach. Here there are sandy beaches, picnics tables, bonfire pits, and a community fishing pier. Ft. Maurepas Park is located just across from Front Beach, which is a great place for younger children. There is a new splash pad, playground equipment and a covered picnic area. The parks amphitheater is often host to concerts and other events. Further west is the Ocean Springs/Biloxi Bridge, a very popular and scenic place for walkers to take advantage of the nearly two-mile pedestrian walkway over the Mississippi Sound. On the other side of the bridge, Biloxi offers plenty of Casinos and restaurants, the world famous Ohr O'Keefe Museum of Art, the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, Beauvoir, the Biloxi Aquarium, and the MGM Park (a 5,000+ seat baseball stadium that is home the Biloxi Shuckers). Ocean springs is also a great jumping off place for a day trip to New Orleans, which is only about 90 miles away, or to Mobile and Dauphin Island, 50 or so miles away.

Beautiful home with unique southern design. View of bayou and bay from the front porch and windows. It had everything we needed for a month long visit. We enjoyed all the art work and books sharing the history of the area. Ocean Springs is a beautiful small town with many shops and restaurants. The house was perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood between the town and the water. Owner was great to work with. 5 stars for sure!

We had a wonderful long stay at the cottage. It was perfect for our family and one of the cleanest, best equipped rentals we've ever stayed in. The location was super peaceful - nice walk down to the beach, lovely views of the marsh across the street, and close to town, groceries, etc. We spent lots of time on the screened porch, front porch and backyard. It was our first time in town and we will definitely be back!

Great cottage in a nice quiet neighborhood supplied well with everything we needed. And very clean!!! Lilliflora is very unique with the screened breezeway between living area and sleeping area and tastefully decorated. My husband and I and our little dog were very comfortable and super happy we found this gem! Stores and the quaint downtown area were close by but we also enjoyed the parks in the area for hiking.

We had a great stay last week at the house. It is very cute! We love the style of the house and the screened porch between the living room/kitchen and bedrooms. Our dog loved it too! Lots of rabbits and other dogs in the neighborhood to chase and play with. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. You could walk to the beach, but there is no sidewalk, so you have to be careful. It’s a very short and scenic walk. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband had a conference in Biloxi and we did not want to stay at the hotel due to Covid. This cottage was perfect and an easy drive back and forth over the bridge daily. It is a quiet, safe neighborhood with little traffic and an easy walk to the beach. The cottage is adorable and extremely comfortable. We will definitely return in the cooler months to take advantage of that screened porch !!!!

Nestled on a quiet street, this beautiful cottage is a perfect getaway spot. A very short golf cart ride away from secluded East Beach and quaint downtown Ocean Springs. The breezeway adds a unique place to lounge and relax . Highly recommend!

A gem close to everything

This house has everything down to the Tupperware in its kitchen drawers. You will not need a single thing. The two bedrooms share a jack and jill bathroom opposite the main part of the house. The shared bathroom is the only one with a shower. So full privacy for two couples is not going to happen. There are locked doors for both bedrooms and the two bedrooms are sweetly decorated with sea decor. The main part of the house is gorgeous! There is a half bath and open concept kitchen/living room space to hang out in. Plus, the space is separated from the bedrooms so if you want to stay up late and chat, you can without interrupting people sleeping. Our favorite part of the house was definitely the screen porch area. It was a nice place to relax after a long day of exploring. We will be back to rent this house. It’s so beautiful and spacious!

I was seeking a beach getaway with lodging that had a "home away from home" feel - and I found just that in Lilliflora Cottage. The bright, cheery beach house look caught my eye on the listings. The décor, furnishings, updated bathrooms and kitchen with a gas cooktop further sold me. Highlights of staying here: 5 min to the beach, beautiful sunset views from the "dog trot" porch, cute neighborhood, comfortable accommodations and easy check in and great communication with owner. Would love to visit again sometime.
