We absolutely LOVED staying here!! Perfect location!! Perfect Beach! Everything was AMAZING. Quick walk to the beach and easily accessible to restaurants and shops. Would recommend this over and over again!! Mahalo

We just got home from a great stay in Kihei. Missing the sounds of the ocean already! This property is located close to a lot of restaurants and stores as well as conveniently located between two public beaches. I spent a long time looking for a great location where we could walk to the beach and stores and was pleased with the final choice at the Royal Mauian, which is where this property is located. Pros: - Close to shops and beaches - 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is awesome - Patio/balcony is great and overlooks beach - On the top (6th) floor so you can see for miles - Rooftop access is close and awesome Cons: - Oven wasn't working (stovetop did) and the dryer was tough to operate. Both were being replaced after our stay, sometimes these things happen and the property manager was very responsive and helpful, so it's kind of a pro/con because communication was great. - The building/association had a ton of rules that were sometimes super silly, like no balls, music or games like Marco Polo in the pool, which seemed kind of hilarious to me. We have a teen, so no big deal for us but I can imagine if you had younger kids in the pool it would be a downer. The list of rules got a little comical like that at some points. I think there are a lot of older retired residents living there and they aren't fans of younger kids or renters. Didn't have a problem or anything, you could just tell from the signs and rules.

The best thing is the location and view. Unit is in need of some updating for sure. A little deficient in kitchen utensils. We cleaned the floors twice due to feet getting so dirty from the sand - should require shoe removal, There should be instructions for operating the a/c and tv system like we've seen at other properties.

Wonderful stay, great host. Can’t say enough about the location and the view. Loved the covered deck- we were there whenever we weren’t out somewhere else! Bedrooms are very private, each with a separate door entrance, which means you can walk from bedroom to bathroom within those closed doors. We will be back!

It was a great location. The only real complaint was the air conditioners in the bedrooms were really loud. We couldn't keep them on at night time.

We had a terrific stay at Claudia's condo! Location is excellent and close to all great beaches. Beautiful sunsets and the rooftop is amazing. Claudia was wonderful and went out of her way to ship an item we left behind. I will definitely stay at this condo for my future visits to Maui. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

The floors were FILTHY. All of the furniture, utensils, linens, need to be updated. For the money we paid, I'm shocked at how outdated everything was. The beds were comfortable but the living room was very uncomfortable, not enough seating.

Location was perfect and walking distance to shops, restaurants, shaved ice, etc! Beach was super close and perfect for swimming, plus lots of turtles along the rocks to enjoy watching. Unit was clean and just right for our family of 4! Appreciated the beach chairs, towels, and umbrella that were provided.

The property is beautiful, the location was perfect! We would only suggest a good deep cleaning of the unit itself and a few general upgrades would be nice. However would definitely recommend staying and we would absolutely stay again!

I’ve never used VRBO before so we really had no idea what to expect. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving. The condo that we rented was amazing! The pictures didn’t do it justice. Top floor unit overseeing the ocean- the view was amazing! The condo was well stocked by Claudia, our host. She provided us with basic toiletries, basic kitchen items, beach towels and beach gear (snorkels, cooler, etc.,) The unit was immaculate, comfortable, and up to date. The host was also very responsive. Would highly recommend!

We’ve stayed in the Royal Mauian a few times. The location is perfect. Close enough to town, but still quiet & the rooftop bbq area is amazing. Kamaole I is a great beach for kids & adults alike. The unit was nice, decently appointed & clean enough. It’s tough to get all the sand, etc when doing a clean. The view & lanai are excellent. Overall the unit was good. We have 3 small kids & found that it’s not the most kid friendly room (glass table, barn doors, etc), but that’s no fault of the unit. I would stay again.

We stayed at Claudia’s rental for a full week. When we arrived everything was clean and clearly noted. Not once did we have to reach out for any issues. There were a lot more amenities than we expected, which was great. For example, the umbrella and beach chairs. The chairs had pockets in the back so you could pack a few waters, towels, and necessities. And the umbrella was nice shade on the beach. There were also some noodles and kids life jackets but we didn’t need to use them. The kitchen seemed to be newly remodeled, and all the appliances were great. There was Tupperware, a mixer, blender, all kinds of kitchen utensils, which came in handy. The washer and dryer were a little louder, but we were grateful to have them. We had plenty of shower towels and 4 beach towels. Showers were hot and clean. The master bed was very comfortable. The views from the balcony were great and you don’t get any sun which was relaxing after being on the beach all day. It is on the six floor which is nice if you’re cooking on the rooftop and need to go back for something. The rooftop was very nice. Some of our other family members stayed in the same complex and that was where we cooked dinner and played games about every night. The best part about this location is the beach is right there. I can’t say enough good things about this location and would recommend it to everyone.

It was lovely as always. I get a little irked by the last minute laundry obligations before dash to the airport. Seems wrong at what I see as a rather pricey day rate. Wife was fine with it so I’ll lobby for her to do it next time.

The short of the long is you can’t beat the location. You are next to several great restaurants and there are two, amazing kid friendly beaches on either side of the building. No need to battle parking, and sea turtles are chilling right below your lanai. Being on the top floor also helped with bugs. The rest of our family rented different condos (3 additional condos total) on the first and second floor, and had problems with cockroaches and flies. We did not. The cons were more just a lot of little things. The biggest complaint was the master bed. It had two huge divots and I know it had been a problem before us because there was a foam mattress topper over it. Half way through our stay we finally said something because we couldn’t sleep it was so bad, and Claudia got us a new, very firm, mattress. The kitchen is tight and really, no more than one person can function in there at a time. They have all the tools you could need in the kitchen, but if you like to cook, the pans and utensils will drive you nuts as nothing is non-stick any more, and most of the plastic spoons and spatulas for cooking are flimsy. Again, right by great restaurants so it’s not like you don’t have options. The beach toys and pool noodles were a huge hit with our family. The floors turned our kids feet black when they walked around barefoot, no matter how much we swept or wiped stuff down. There was some black mold it looked like in the grout of the master shower, but that’s not surprising given the humidity and that the bathroom fans are only on when the light is on. Check in was frustrating. We were told to check in with the front desk to get our codes but we arrived on Saturday, and no one was there until Monday so there was no terrace and no pool access for us. When we did finally register with the front, they told us the property manager was supposed to give us the codes. You have to wash your towels before you leave even though VRBO charges you a cleaning fee, so just FYI leave yourself enough time for that.

This was a nice property. Top floor of building was nice to be on. Roof top was AWESOME. Pool left a lot to be desired—small, difficult to get in and out of gate. Good thing we’re beach people. Location is also AWESOME. Property could do with a new coffee maker and perhaps a newer dryer. Items took a long time to dry which made the check out requirements a little challenging. Overall would recommend.

We had a great time at this condo! It was clean, well equipped and the views were amazing! We loved being so close to the stores(ABC stores!)and restaurants and a minute walk from beautiful beaches. It was so nice to have chairs, towels , and an umbrella provided for our beach time. The only slight negative is that there definitely is road noise but not noticeable all the time. The property manager was also very responsive. Finally, a big plus was the A/C, a must have in August in Hawaii! It was a great stay!

The Royal Mauian is our favourite place to stay on Maui and this unit did not disappoint. It’s well furnished and the kitchen has most everything you would need. The only drawback was the speed of the internet, but if you’re on vacation put your phone away and go swim with the turtles that live out front of the condominium.

Very conveniently located near stores and restaurants. ABC store is a 5 minute easy walk. Views are incredible. Bed not so comfortable as it is too soft and mushy. Property needs pest control for kitchen drawers that had baby roaches. Other than those minor suggestions, the unit is wonderful. Would definitely come back.

Conveniently located in between two amazing beaches with beautiful ocean/beach views! The description on website is a fair representation of condo, too. However, this condo needs a bit of TLC. Lots of small things could be improved/fixed/supplied to make stay go more smoothly. When we arrived, the shower was severely clogged, two lights in kitchen were not working, window screens were not well fixed to windows, kitchen was missing grilling tools and had no basic cooking provisions (olive oil, salt/pepper, spices, condiments). However, the host was very responsive and apologetic. She really did her best to right every wrong, so that counts for a lot!
