About this house rental
Beauty, elegance and style...that's just the beginning. Villa Vista's upper unit is an outstanding oceanfront retreat with unsurpassed views of surf, sunsets and city lights. This three bedroom/three private bath rental features a spacious living room surrounded by a wraparound deck, offering guests a unique opportunity to enjoy some of nature's finest work in total comfort. There's also a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, outdoor eating/viewing area with natural gas BBQ, big screen SmartTV and WiFi. Parking for three cars on site. All bedrooms have king size beds which can be made as twins (they do not separate). All linens are supplied and there's a portacrib and high chair, if needed. Beach towels, chairs and toys are also available. Walk right down to the beach and enjoy the surf and sand or walk a few blocks south and you're on the beautiful bluffs above Pleasure Point cliffs watching world class surfing or exploring the many coves and tide pools. Within a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute bike ride, you can be at the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk or the quaint beachside resort of Capitola Village. Just a bit further and you're on downtown Santa Cruz's Pacific Avenue, home of boutique shops, restaurants, coffee houses and world-class entertainment. Your family and friends will never forget their time spent relaxing and reconnecting while staying in the upper unit at Villa Vista. We had a wonderful stay over New Year’s. This property is amazing, with views that are unparalleled. We met owners (relatives) when we arrived and they were so helpful, sharing that there was an elevator I could use since I had just had surgery. Plenty of room for the family of 5. Outdated furniture that needs serious cleaning, but we looked out the front windows and all was forgiven! We’d stay here again.

I rented Villa Vista for a long weekend for my husband's 60th birthday celebration. Perfect for 3 couples! GREAT location, view, driving to restaurants, marina, fish markets, etc. House was well maintained with enough seating for us all to enjoy a day of watching football and BBQing out on the deck. Beds were very comfortable.

Great location and the communication was excellent. The only hiccup was that the TV (cable) was not very good. However, we were able to use the apps to watch. The good news is that the tv was rarely on as we were able to enjoy the roar of the ocean waves, which is why we selected this location. Great relaxing stay!

Loves the Sea Cliff property. All king beds ( super comfy) large and comfortable living room and kitchen. Incredible ocean views that gave us perfect bird watching. The house is a bit dated but it’s part of the charm.

Needs upgrading
This property offers a great location with amazing ocean front views. however, it needs upgrading. The common area furniture, living room, dining room and bar stools, should be replaced. . The chairs and sofa are worn out and uncomfortable, the bar stool cushions are badly stained. The kitchen, although well stocked with utensils, glasses, etc,, is a hodgepodge of garage sale items. The barbecue in the terrace has a lot to be desired. The mattresses are comfortable.

Views Are the Best
This property has a definite '80s vibe, but it is well equipped, and the ocean views from the waterfront windows are spectacular. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom arrangement worked perfectly for parents in their eighties and two sons and their consorts in their thirties, one with a five-month-old baby. Would rent again.

Absolutely amazing!
Omg!!! This property is amazing. A little outdated but who cares! It fit the beachy vibe. The beach was right there. The view was incredible. We saw the dolphins!!! We loved it! Can’t wait to come back. We were sad that the telescope wasn’t there. But hey the place was amazing!

The location is literally overlooking the ocean. We had the best time and Devin was very responsive and addressed any issues or questions that we had. He was a wonderful host. We will definitely stay there again!!

Priceless thank views from upper deck
Musty smell when entering somewhat outdated upper unit, but the outstanding views of the ocean and the beach next door more than made up for it. Beds very comfortable and living room and bedrooms plenty spacious. Enjoyed walks along the beach and in the safe neighborhood.

The view was gorgeous and great location! Felt like you had your own private beach next door. Some things needed a little attention, however the owner was very responsive and accommodating. I would rent this place again.

Great location; OK house
The house features a spectacular view and is next to a beautiful beach. The house is large and the owners have made an effort to prepare it for a family experience (i.e. making beach equipment available). The cleanliness of the house and amenities (i.e. dishes, dishwasher) were below the standard we experienced with other properties on our vacation. We had to purchase a few basics that are normally available (dish soap, dish towels). A little refresh would bring this property up to the high bar set by it's wonderful setting.

Perfect family vacation
Devin was very responsive and accommodating. I originally made reservations during a lull in the pandemic to celebrate a birthday and when cases started to surge he offered me a choice for a full refund or an opportunity to reschedule. I rescheduled, and it ended up being a family vacation to celebrate that we had all received our Covid vaccinations. The location is ideal, between Santa Cruz and Capitola. The furniture set up was great for family togetherness, with plenty of comfortable chairs for everyone. The master bedroom was an ideal set up for my 94-year-old dad; once we got upstairs (the cleaners were kind enough to allow us to use the tiny elevator), it was right off the main living space and had an attached bathroom. We all enjoyed the sunsets every night from the deck or the living room. This is the perfect place for a fabulous family vacation!

Great Thanksgiving and reboot
Throughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful right on the beach duplex. View incredible, unit had everything we needed, was clean, well laid out and each room had it's own bathroom. We stayed in the upper unit and spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the ocean views and watching the surfers. We hope to stay here again soon.

Great house & great time
Everything was lovely, but we found out we weren’t supposed to use the elevator as advertised on VRBO. However the owner was there when we checked in he gave us the code so we could use it. Devin is a great guy to work with. Being, we were five 68 year old women with a lot of stuff to get upstairs, the elevator was greatly appreciated.

Place is great. Location at Pleasure Point is fantastic, property manager very accessible and responsive and simply can't beat the view. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom which was great and the wrap around porch is fabulous

The view from this unit is wonderful - ocean view and sunsets. There are surfers, dolphins, and otters active in the near view. The rooms are comfortable. Nice kitchen and dining area large enough for 8.

Couldn't ask for a better location!
We usually stay near the Mendocino area. This trip we wanted to stay near Santa Cruz Capitola area. So happy we found this Home! You couldn't ask for a better beach front location. The property is literally steps to the beach. So many great restaurants within a mile or two of the home as well. We will be back for sure!

Girlfriend's Reunion
This was one of our girlfriend reunion getaways. We had both units for 3 gorgeous nights right on the beach! Both units were fully stocked with everything you would need to feel right at home. The sunset and surf right out front was incredible. I knew that upstairs would be the hub for everyone, so us quite ones choose a room downstairs to escape and sit by the fireplace after our soak in the hot tub. I would recommend this rental and look forward to another stay in the future.

Great location and comfortable beds.
We took our teenage kids for a long weekend and had a nice stay. The check in instructions listed an incorrect door code, but I called Devin and he answered and gave me the correct door code. The finishes and furnishings are quite dated, but the place was clean, the water heater works, the beds are comfortable and the view is incredible.
We would recommend it.

Loved the location and the View!!!
Would have given the place 5 stars except we were plagued with tiny ants for 2 of the 3 days. I spent a couple of hours spraying and cleaning up dead ants and then spraying again and then cleaning up dead ants. Location of house is perfect for the beach that was uncrowded. Loved watching surfers from the deck and ocean waves. Lots of towels and supplies for cooking. The ants were in a couple of cupboards and were in the sugar container.

Incredible!
Our family has rented vacation houses for the past 15+ years and this one is top of the list. From the fully stocked kitchen to the very well appointed living areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.).
The location is incredible (views of the pacific and access to 26th street beach)! The property manager (Kerstin) is very responsive and she has everything covered from beach chairs to spices in the kitchen. Great place and we highly recommend it!
