About this villa rental
Casa Le Pigne is an enchanting 2000sq ft, single-level villa situated in a peaceful and panoramic position (600m altitude), overlooking the forests and gentle hills of the Chianti Classico wine region of Tuscany.
The property is private and calm (nearest neighbour about 500m away) and at 6km from the historic village of Castellina in Chianti. Castellina is world famous for Rocca delle Macie wine, along with hundreds of other tasteful wines. Castellina is also well known for its antique shops, delicious restaurants and the Saturday weekly market.
The villa consists of:
- 4 bedrooms (3 are en-suite) each with 2 single confortable beds (can be joined as King size) with AC, Ethernet and USB charging sockets
*total beds : 8+ 1 140cm sofabed (1-2 sleeps)
*total sleeps : 9-10 + 1 (or 2) baby bed
- 4 full new bathrooms with shower or tub, bidet, washbasin and WC
- a Spa in the basement with IR Sauna, Steam Bath, shower and WC.
- fully equipped kitchen
- large living/dining room with AC and a fireplace (500sq ft)
- 2 terraces (one covered) equipped with tables and chairs for dining outdoor and enjoying the view.
- external 7 places whirlpool open all the year
- external fenced 6 by 16m pool open mid April - mid October (depending on the weather)
The impressive 7-acre fenced garden
All is perfect for taking time out to lounge while sipping a glass of local chianti wine or spumante.
Surrounding the estate is more than 250-acres of wild countryside for unforgettable hikes immersed in untouched nature. 5 marked walks for every walking level.
Other activities the area has to offer include:
- sightseeing
- horseback riding
- wine tasting and vineyard tours
- culinary tours and cooking lessons
- archery lessons and 3D trail
- thermal baths and spas
- village fairs
- harvest season tours and visits (September and October)
The main tourism season stretches from mid-April to the end of October with July and August being peak months. A great time to visit Tuscany is in the quieter part of the season: May or June for beautiful weather and less crowds and of course September and October during the harvest time to experience the wine making, right in the cellar where the activity takes place. I enjoy November at harvest and olive oil processing.

The villa was absolutely beautiful and just what we needed for a Tuscany trip. The place was clean and so convenient to all the towns we visited. The pool was the best welcome back after hours walking around in the heat. I highly recommend going here! Please do not be deterred by the bugs, if you want to escape into a beautiful place, nature will be there tooš the sunsets are beautiful and the amenities were just what we needed. Do not hesitate, book this villa!!

The house is fantastic and was perfect for our 2 family stay with 4 adults and 4 kids 11-15. Spacious accommodation, really well equipped with everything we needed and more. 2 beautiful terraces so you can choose to watch the sun set over the garden or watch the table tennis/barbecue. The pool is really big with comfortable sunloungers and the jacuzzi with its ingenious cover was great. Communication with Jerome was excellent. So much to do in the area and within a short drive. I definitely recommend staying here!
Castellina is a perfect location - the town is very pretty

I could probably write pages about this villa, but let's just say that the place is amazing. We had 6 people and still, the villa felt very spacious. The bedrooms are all very large and it was great to have private bathrooms in each one. You are also greeted with personal robes in each of the bedrooms. The grounds and views are spectacular. We did not use the pool because we had rain most of the time we were there, but it is large and very private. We did still take advantage of the wonderful spa tub and sauna. The villa is equipped with everything you would need and Jerome is a wonderful host and came by to show us around and explain how to use everything. The town of Castellina is a very short drive away and has a great butcher and restaurants.
If you have a larger group, want a beautiful, private retreat, then this is the place for you in Tuscany. Do not hesitate to rent this villa!

We had a wonderful stay, the property is in a beautiful location, the villa was very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The owner was always available if we needed him, and he was very gracious and accommodating. We really had a wonderful two weeks.

The drive in is panoramic and beautiful. The final entry on gravel road is difficult with some washed out areas and deep ruts. Loved the spaciousness of the home, lots of towels and kitchen is well stocked with pans, pots, etc. The spa area is so nice after long days of walking. Accessible to Florence and Siena. We loved exploring smaller provinces.
Some potential improvements - the plates, bowls glasses we couldnāt find and eventually turned up in an armoire in the dining room far from dishwasher. No big deal but would be nice to communicate so there wasnāt such a long hunt. All of the beds are just twins pushed together to make a double no actual king or queen mattresses. The outdoor space is not kept up other than mowing. The small Co-op 15 min away is the only place to get groceries nearby and has very odd hours so get those and donāt make the mistake we did and miss open times and wake hungry.
We had water pressure issues off and on and one night the water turned completely off. They have maintenance who helps address. Seems an ongoing thing.

We stayed a week at Jerome's property during mid-March.
The weather was early Spring. The property five-star. Everything was as advertised. We were four adults with three kids. We were comfortable with the single level interior. Pleased with a workable well-stocked kitchen with varied and up-dated hardware and appliances. All the outside amenities (excluding the pool as the season for such hadn't yet arrived) were used and enjoyed. The house is somewhat secluded set high on a hill with a very pleasant view and breezes. I will be happy to recommend it our friends.

My wife and I have stayed in dozens of different VRBO properties around the world and actually used to own one where we never received less than a five star review so we know a great property when we find one. I will honestly say this is the cleanest I have ever found a rental house, absolutely immaculate. They take all of the bedding offsite to be professionally cleaned and I felt like I was staying in a high-end hotel. The fireplace was fantastic and we had unlimited firewood for beautiful fires every night. Jerome is an incredible host with fantastic communication and he gets back to you every time very quickly. The property itself is very secluded and private, and we did not hear another sound other than many birds. The local town of Castellina was wonderful and we tried many restaurants that Jerome recommended and they were all great! Book this property you will not be disappointed.

My family and I have been to Italy many times and this was by far the most memorable place we have ever stayed. The villa is so serene and just creates an aura of calmness. The property has beautiful lavender/thyme and rosemary plants surrounding the house. The hot tub / spa was such a treat given we were there in February. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the rest of the house also had everything we needed.
We got to meet Jerome which was such a treat. Yazmin was out point person and was very kind and responsive. What a beautiful property/ home. Hopefully we can go back some day:).

Cannot say enough about this amazing villa!! Itās beautiful, comfortable, exceptionally appointed and in a breathtaking location! Every member of our family loved our stay, including our 18 month old grandson. We enjoyed hikes, meals & nightly fires in the wood burning fireplace. We had a spectacular Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Pietro Cacciatori from Ristorante Albergaccio di Castellina- so many wonderful memories š

We spent a glorious two weeks in the Tuscan countryside in this wonderful property. It was everything we hoped that it would be for our first time in this Italian hill town. The property is beautifully landscaped with incredible views of nearby villages on either side. The covered porch was a wonderful place to drink coffee and read when the weather permitted and the bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds, wardrobes and updated bathrooms. There was more than enough space for everyone to relax. We also enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen with everything we needed to feel right at home. Jerome greeted us on day one to orient us with his lovely home and was always easy to communicate with during the stay and before. He even made a suggestion for a private chef to cook for us one night, which was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and we learned a bit about food culture. There are also several nice walks around the surrounding property and a few local vineyards. We visited Nittardi and received a private tour and tasting. Wonderful wine and history on a beautiful property. Casa Pigne is also a great jumping off point to visit many other cities in the Chianti region and beyond. Castellina is a special gem! Il Fondaccio for pizza was a favorite! We never got tired of the beautiful surroundings and views from the villa. Thank you again, Jerome for such an incredible visit. We would love to return one day to this special place!

That first drive up the hill to the house had us excited. The views were amazing, the house perfect for our group, and the location was perfect. We could enjoy the peace of the house, drive a short way to the town of Castellina in Chianti, take the quick drive to Florence, or train to anywhere. The excursions we took from this perfect home base were fantastic. From wine tastings to vineyard tours, cooking classes to historic sites, we were in a perfect location and the house was set up just right. Yazmin greeted us and gave us the tour to get us started. No issues at all. We will be back soon! Thank you, Jerome!

We were 7 "senior" adults - 3 siblings, their spouses and an in-law-that stayed at the villa for 10 days. The property was beautiful with several unique landscaping features. There were both covered and open porch areas with ample seating, as well as 3 hammocks to relax in. There were many walking paths on and around the property and a map of such at the villa (they do tend to be rocky and can be steep in parts). The pool was large and had several lounge chairs (unfortunately, the weather was a bit cool to use it most days). There was a lovely steam room and sauna, as well as a hot tub, on property. The host was exceptionally responsive and pleasant! He suggested a chef - A Man from Chianti - that came to the villa 2 evenings to prepare a 4 course meal with wine pairings (80 Euros per person). The nearby village (about 4 km) was plentiful with good restaurants. The Nitardi Winery was close by (walkable for some) and was a picturesque property with an interesting history (e.g. Michelangelo owned it and visited it). I really cannot say enough good things about this Villa! Note - You definitely need a car (or bike) to get around!

The home and grounds were very nice. The landscaping could use some tightening up, but otherwise everything was as expected. Again, thank you for allowing us to use your home...and it certainly helped us "fall in love with Italy". Best, GTO.

We ( 6 adults) stayed 1 week in the house . All of us loved it. The garden was beautiful with lots of lavender, gorse bushes and rosemary.
The weather was not what we expected ( rain ) , but there was plenty to do and enjoy, eg the spa and hammam.
Also for everyone there were bathrobes, bath towels for the pool.
Kitchen inventory was more than sufficient . We even were able to hire a chef for one night, which made our stay even more delightful.

This place is absolutely stunning! We could not have found a better property or location in Tuscany. The home is beautiful and spacious with so many amenities. It is peaceful and the grounds are unbelievably beatiful. There are even miles of walking trails to enjoy. The local town is quaint and not overrun by tourists. We definitely did not want to leave.

Indoor fireplace was the centerpiece of our evenings. Dry sauna and hot tub were easy to use and wonderful to use. Castellina was close by with grocery store, restaurants and shopping. We loved our stay here. Thank you Jerome.

This villa and property were absolutely wonderful. We all loved our visit to the Chianti and Jeromeās home: huge bedrooms, updated baths, comfortable accommodations, stunning views! Highly recommend. We had a small issue with the hot tub cover and dry sauna after a rain storm, and Jerome came immediately to fix us up! He is a very kind man and has worked hard on the land and villa to make it special for guests visiting the area. He gave lots of suggestions for things to do and see as well. We will definitely go back again and will recommend to friends who plan to visit Chianti area too! Thank you, Jerome, for sharing your lovely home.

We spent a glorious two weeks at Casa Le Pigne, swimming, reading, cooking and feasting our eyes on the beautiful view. Jerome was super-prompt with any responses to queries and the property is incredible. There are so many places to be, I honestly think you could double the number of bedrooms and it would never feel crowded! Thank you for a lovely holiday.

The villa was beautiful, much larger than it looks in the pictures, with so many little areas to sit and enjoy the view. The rooms were all large with en-suites (except one where the bathroom was across the hall). We all felt like we had privacy and great communal areas to enjoy time as a family. The pool was the perfect temperature and a great place to enjoy the sunset. We all had a great time and I cannot wait to come back.

The Tuscan Sun!
We would highly highly recommend this property for a group staying in Tuscany. We stayed for 5 days. There were 6 females on this stay. 2 sisters, 2 daughters, and 2 grand daughters. The property is centrally located and easily within reach of Castellini at Chianti- a beautiful town with warm, friendly people. If eating in town be sure to stop and have a meal at āMade in Chiantiā. Amazing food and warm people. I canāt say enough and probably missed so many things. The pool and hot tub were very clean and Everything is well maintained. Hiking areas Abound. Beautiful sunsets and sun rises. We had a chef āMartinaā cook for us one evening and it was a traditional Tuscan meal. Just amazing! We had two cars rented and drove to Florence and Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast. All Easy drives. We would highly recommend making your Tuscany vacation a reality by staying with Jerome!
