Activities and Attractions:

A Boater's Paradise. 30 minutes from the St. Lucie Inlet. Enjoy great fishing here at the 'Sailfish Capital.' Popular year-round, the Sailfish shines in local waters in December through March and during the summer months, particularly June and July. From the adventure of a day of offshore fishing for Marlin, Dolphin, Sailfish or Wahoo, to the spectacular bass fishing on Martin County's western border of Lake Okeechobee, to the wide array of inshore fishing opportunities, there is literally something for every style of fishing enthusiast. Local charter boats available.

The county's beaches include individual access strips that allow for more private spots to enjoy the surf and sand or larger, guard-protected areas like Stuart Beach, Hobe Sound Beach and Sea Turtle/ Jensen Beach. The Bathtub Beach is a special spot for young families where small children can enjoy the surf with the protection of a reef that creates a wading pool adjacent to the beach. Building is located on the St. Lucie River and has an engineering office, CAPTEC Engineering, located on the second floor. There are 6 apartments located on the 3rd and 4th floor for rent. Two Bedroom/ two bath with a balcony where you can see both sunrises and sunsets.

We really liked our stay. Apartment is great, nice and roomy and comfortable. We had everything we needed. We knew it was close to the railroad and each train toots loudly. For my husband that was soothing, for me it took a few days to get used to, and we would come here again. We spent some time on the balcony, which was usually a bit too windy for reading and just right to watch the boats and trains go by. The parking is on the ground floor of the building, so not in the Florida sun, which is a plus. Oh and it is also within a pleasant mile walk over a drawbridge to downtown Stuart with great restaurants and a nice boardwalk.

Disappointing
Disappointing
I did not want to give a negative review. First Trish didn’t know we were checking in. I requested to speak to the owner at least three times. Left her a letter when we left and there has been no communication. We spoke to her husband and told him about the dirty unit. I know they have been dealing with family health issues but we were there for “5” weeks. Couldn’t have family over for dinner, the kitchen was lacking in plates, bowls, cutlery, serving bowls etc. as I said it was very disappointing. We knew that the train passed by but didn’t know that is ran hourly night and day. Not worth the price they charged. Need to take ownership, clean the place and stock the kitchen. Wouldn’t recommend this place and while we there we learned that a fast speed train would be going through from Miami to Palm Beach a few times a day along with all the freight trains

Very nice except it’s always windy sitting out on balcony. Could use a grab bar in bathtub.

Clean, newer condo but furniture so uncomfortable
Clean, newer condo but furniture so uncomfortable
Pros: clean, well kept condo and building with newer furniture; long skinny deck with beautiful river views and sunrise; quick responses from owners on a few minor issues; 20 minute walk to downtown Stuart over the small bridge; five minute walk to at least four nearby restaurants. The building has a two sided garage on street level, an engineering firm on floor 2 and rental condos on floors 3 and 4 (6 condos in total) with a security elevator and security entrance to each floor. Because they only rent seasonally , there is not a lot of wear and tear. We rented for three months but had to leave 2-1/2 weeks early so we asked the owners about their policy on refunds, thinking they would still be able to rent it. They said they wouldn’t try to rent again so no refunds, but they were very polite about it and we certainly understood. Cons: the feel of the condo is nice in a business waiting room way but not in a comfy, homey way (non descriptive wall hangings, huge, artificial green plants, “echoey” in the living room); bedroom mattress was too hard for me (not hubby) so I woke up with backaches every day; living room has one recliner chair and one recliner sofa so basically seating for only three people even though it is a two bedroom, four person condo; sofa and chair are faux leather and so deep that my feet dangled (I’m 5’4”) and the material was rock solid hard and uncomfortable for both my husband and me; the four dining room chairs are the kind usually found on a sun deck so they automatically recline way back when you sit on them and made eating at the table awkward; although the condo building is in a strip of nice condos, the area immediately around it is more industrial with a lot of old, empty buildings and yards away from a railroad track, but we never felt unsafe.
