This two bedroom charming 1930’s brick bungalow is one of the few legally permitted short term rentals in Golden Compliant with Golden's Tourist Home ordinance operating under City of Golden Permit 23-032. Recently remodeled kitchen. Large great room with cozy fireplace and deck with grill is perfect for a staycation, remote work alternative, family gatherings, viewing the local colleges, visiting parents and grandparents or just home away from home. Super fast Fiber optic WiFi.
You will enter through the Blue front door and have the entire upper level and Private back deck with views of the foothills and CSM "M" and the Barbeque Grill in the fenced backyard. This private home is a ranch floor plan with everything on one level. There's a sofa bed in the front parlor room and a sofa bed in the family room so the home can comfortably sleep 8. No parking on the driveway on the far left which is used by the neighbors below which have their own separate space, entrance, furnace, parking, all around in the back of the house on the lower level where you probably won't even notice them.
The large dining table in the great room is perfect for family meals cooked in the mountain modern and fully equipped kitchen. (Includes spices and basics but not your groceries). Just off the great room is a private deck overlooking the foothills to the west and you can see the Colorado School of Mines "M" from the deck and great room. You will enjoy the option to have your morning coffee or evening conversations and casual meals on the peaceful deck.
Check in via lockbox on the front door.
We respect our guests privacy but live nearby in case guests have any needs, questions or problems during their stay. We do have bus service down the block. That connects to RTD light rail station on the W line at the Jefferson County Courthouse building.
You will appreciate the Convenient Location for all the activities in Golden, the Mountains, and Boulder. It's a neighborhood with mostly older single family homes/duplexes but right next to downtown. We have para-sailing, kayaking, hiking, biking, climbing, and even a beach at the Clear Creek Kayak park, museums both indoor and out, Colorado School of Mines, Mountaineering Center, Miners Alley Playhouse, Concerts and events all summer long, a quaint downtown with shopping, bars and restaurants all walking distance from the Bungalow. It's really just a cool town to be in.
If you are looking for more, you will like the It's very easy to get to the mountains on I-70 and all areas of the Denver Metro Area.

This cute little cottage had a surprising amount of room once inside. The deck out back was nice and everything was very clean. We could never get anything on the tv’s but there were lots of fun games to play.

This cute little home was everything we needed. Location is very close to downtown and convenient to Denver. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We loved it and plan to come back!

We came to CO visit family in Evergreen over Christmas, so we used this property more like a hotel than a home. We left in the morning and returned at night to sleep. What we loved: • We selected this home because it is pet friendly, but decided to not bring pets. • Access to Golden and to I70. • Lots of living and entertaining space, with two living rooms and large kitchen. • Nice coffee station. • Clean and cute • Property manager was responsive. What we think others might want to know: • Bedrooms are tiny, but owners have done a nice job of making the most of the space. • There is only one bathroom.

The Golden Bungalow is a comfortable house in town. It is easy to find and was sparkling clean. The 2 queen beds are comfortable and the jetted tub in the bathroom was wonderful.

We stayed for two weeks while my son-a student at Mines-recovered from ACL surgery. This was a perfect location. The house was as described and communication with the owner was easy.

Had a great time! Overall a nice stay but there were a few things that could have made it a little better. Location is awesome but not really walkable to downtown. You can see the mountains from the back porch which was cool. Furniture in living room is older and uncomfortable, making it hard for the family to hang out together. All in all though, a nice place to stay. If you want to be closer to the action in Golden, this one is for you.

M daughter, husband and 2 children visited us for a week from Boston Cottage was down the street from where I live. They loved the cottage and being walking distance to down town Golden was an added plus. A perfrct vacation for them

The Golden Bungalow was perfect for our family's stay. The location was great. Very close (walking distance) to downtown and all of the restaurants and shops. It was clean, very well equipped and had everything we needed. It is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We stayed at the Golden Bungalow during spring break. The house was perfect for Oelke small family and very clean. We liked the location for proximity to Denver and the various ski hills. I would definitely recommend this place!

This property is an easy walk into town. The property is accurately described, clean, and quiet. It is a bungalow but with a large great room extending out the back with a patio. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Great communication with owners.

This is a great property in the residential area of Golden, which means it’s quiet but still very close and convenient to everything Golden has to offer! The house was very clean and all the amenities you would need for your stay. We highly recommend and will stay here again next time we’re in Golden

This was a great place to stay in downtown Golden. It was cute, clean, and provided anything that you needed. The property owners were so accommodating and responsive which helped us tremendously when dealing with small children! We enjoyed being close to downtown and all the amenities that it offers. It was cozy, warm, and a perfect place to stay during your Golden vacation!

This house is just as described. It's proximity to Golden and Denver are fantastic. The home is warm and inviting. Dealing with the property managers was simple and accommodating. Our main reason for staying at The Golden Bungalow was it's proximity to Red Rocks and Golden, although we found it easy to make multiple trips into downtown Denver as well. I expect to be back in the future and here is where we will stay.

Fabulous in every way possible. Location was a beautiful walk to downtown Golden. Beautiful home and I mean home. Had everything and more that you would need! Even a high chair and pack-n-play for my granddaughter who we were visiting for her 1st birthday. Literally a home away from home. Thank you so much for the accommodations ❣️
