Views are spectacular
If you are planning on being out and about in Tucson or the Saguaro National Park, this is the place for you. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset was the highlight of our trip!

Great Views
We stayed here as a getaway and something different for Christmas this year. After reading the reviews and can agree that the views are the selling point of this place. The house was nice but a bit outdated in decor needed some TLC. We were not prepared for the driveway to the house is a bit hairy of someone is afraid of heights. I would recommend a smaller car we had a truck and SUV parking so it was a process to turn the cars around but we managed. I have to say I understand that the water pressure was low due to the location of the house but to us the selling point on choosing the house was the mater bathroom large soaking tub that was totally not usable no hot water and extreme low pressure we could not even attempt to use that was a huge disappointment. The house had everything that you need for cooking that was nice. We enjoyed the decks and used the hot tub (was raining most of the trip). But having beach or larger towels available would have been nice. Overall a nice place but again the master bath was a huge let down.

Emelia & Paul of r Wendorf Management were great to work with, they were helpful and responded to a few issues very quickly. The views were wonderful and it is a quiet area. Fairly easy access to various areas of Tucson. The home is older and needs updating and some general repairs. The private drive way is a challenge for larger vehicles. We had a half ton pick up, a smaller vehicle would possibly work out better

Nice Winter Getaway
Enjoyed the long weekend. View from the house is spectacular.
Location is not really convenient for dinning, and shopping; but they are only about 15 minutes away. But location is very convenient for access to Saguaro National Park.
There was a previous house maintenance issue, that need to be fixed during the reservation. Property Manager communicated prior to arrival, and response was acceptable for the inconvenience.
Enjoyed the stay.

The home was a very room 3 bedroom home w amazing views. Kitchen was fully-stocked and bbq ready to be used! There was a nice breeze on the balconies (even w the 100+ degrees).
The home is definitely worth the drive but it’s good to be aware that the drive is a bit rough for the last few miles...hills, windy and steep & narrow (especially the last mile or so).
Thanks for a lovely stay, we would definitely recommend!

When we arrive late in the evening they said our reservation had been cancelled. The house had not been cleaned , so we sat on the balcony while they cleaned. The location was great as was the master bedroom, other bedrooms small and no closets. VRBO was not helpful with the issue, Also check your account information . Someone had set ip a new account with a different email at VRBO

The property was perfect for the six of us ol' college friends, with plenty of space and everything we needed to sleep, hang, cook meals. But by far, the stand-out were the two decks overlooking the valley. That is where we spent most or our time, gathered around tables, in the hot-tub, on lounge chairs. The accommodations are clean enough and outfitted with basics, and the booking, arrival and departure communications, and onsite support, could not have been more accessible and responsive.

Privacy and Tranquility!!
If you are looking to get away, relax and enjoy some spectacular views, this is the place for you. The views from the multiple patio's are amazing. We would sit enjoying a cup of coffee and watch the red tail hawks circle the property. At night you have all of Tucson right in front of you. You can enjoy the city lights but you never hear a thing. It's so quiet here. It's a very private and secluded neighborhood and did we mention the views? The views are a 10+!!
House was well equipped, beds were comfortable and there was even a garage to tuck the car away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tucson and at this property. The only reason we didn't go 5 stars is we could never get the hot tub, well, hot enough. The back patio at night in the hot tub is perfect for city and star gazing it just seemed the hot tub never got above 85 degrees.
Would we stay again? Yes. If you are visiting Tucson enjoy this property and be sure to have dinner at the Parish Restaurant. You haven't lived until you try their bacon popcorn.

Perfect Girls' Getaway
This property was a beautiful location for a girls' getaway weekend. The views are stunning, and we spent lots of time on the balcony overlooking the city. The home has everything you need and is furnished very comfortably! I will definitely consider this property again when I have a group of out of town guests to lodge!

Beautiful house, beautiful Tucson
Our stay in Tucson was enjoyed by all who were there. The house was just what we were looking for. The view of Tucson was spectacular from sunup to sundown. Very quiet neighborhood in a gated community, just outside the main city, perhaps a 10-minute drive. The master bedroom was very roomy and had a huge window fronting the view. In addition, there are 2 rather small bedrooms, either one a bit cramped for 2 people. Very nice kitchen and living space. Loved it.

Great retreat from which to explore Tucson and surrounding area
My husband and I and our two adult sons spent a fantastic week at this home in mid-December. The house and amenities were perfect for us. We definitely hope to return and stay a little longer on the next trip! This is a perfect location from which to explore the city and national parks. The home is located in a quiet gated-community of lovely homes on acreage. So peaceful ... exactly what we were looking for. In fact, we enjoyed hanging-out at "home" so much that it was sometimes a toss-up as to whether to explore or just stay-put and enjoy the beautiful valley and Tucson skyline.
The home has more than enough space for our family of 4 adults. It has wonderful outside decks and a spa from which to enjoy spectacular views of Tucson and daily picture-worthy sunrises and sunsets. It is well equipped for inside and outside cooking (including many items that appeared to be brand new - for example a new gas grill and new pots that were still in the original packaging). The beds were comfortable and the house is well-stocked with more than enough linen for the 4 of us.
We had some minor questions about the house when we first arrived (for example, operation of the spa jets). The owner and property management company were very prompt and thorough in dealing with our questions. The owner seems intent on ensuring guests are comfortable and able to enjoy this fantastic "home-away-from-home" ambiance of this property.

Great retreat: family Christmas
Perhaps a bit unusual, but we live in Tucson and rented this chateau for a family get together for Christmas. We stayed four nights and the house was wonderful! There is a million dollar view from virtually every room, not only of the Tucson Mountains where the home is "perched", but also of the city and the mountains beyond. The kitchen was good sized so family could help each other with meals, and all of the rooms, from dining to bedroom were roomy.
The managers, Emelia and Paul were easy to communicate with, though once we got there we didn't need anything. Thank you Don, the owner for sharing your home!
