Welcome to your next vacation retreat in the Pocono Mountains at 'The Orono Retreat, a beautifully decorated house located near the stunning Arrowhead lake. This exquisite 2400 sq.ft bi-level home is conveniently located in the Arrowhead lake community. The great living room and dining room have high ceilings with sky lights and a wood burning fireplace. The air-conditioner/heater will keep you comfortable year round. The modern and well-equipped kitchen will fulfill all your cooking needs. The large deck with seating and a gas grill allows for everyone’s participation. Savor the beautiful sunset or play family games in the cozy sun room. The second living room boasts a wood burner, pool table and access to a patio. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable. Each bedroom has independent heater and fan. Air beds and extra mattress are also available for added accommodations. The house is Wi-Fi Internet enabled and has large smart screen TV’s with a DVD library. We welcome pets so they don't feel left behind.
Walk only minutes to the lake beach which is one of 4 beaches and 3 swimming pools at the arrowhead lake community. Enjoy boating, water sports, beach, picnics, barbecue on a huge center island (in season only) and indoor activities in the brand new community center.
Within 30 minutes drive are 3 ski resorts (Jack Frost, Big Boulder and Camel Back), river rafting, Pocono raceway, golf, malls and water park.
The Pocono Mountains offer four seasons of endless fun and a tremendous variety of diversions for family attractions, outdoor adventures featuring skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, river rafting, water parks, zip-lining, fall foliage, family play parks and more.

There are a few mandatory and non-negotiable fees associated with Arrowhead lake which are not included in the rent. Access to property will not be granted till Arrowhead fees are paid. Please take a note of all the required fees.

- $8.50 per person per night for guests age 6 and above. (In-season)
- $2 per person per night for guests age 6 and above. (off-season)
- $42.50 weekly rate (5-7 nights) for guests age 6 and above. (In-season)
- Gate card fee $20 per vehicle.
- Administration Fee: $20.
- If registration is made less than 3 days of arrival then a late fee of $100 applies
- Arrowhead lake will not accept registrations which are made less than 1 days before arrival.

There are few optional and additional services and fees as follows:
- Pet fee: $50/pet (cat/dog only) (maximum 2)
- Linen service: $250

- Check-in: 4:00pm
- Check-out: 12:00pm
- No-Smoking
- Minimum stay is 2 nights for non-holiday days, 3-4 days for holiday weekends, and 7 night during summer months (sunday to sunday). Please contact me if you need an alternate stay period and we can work something out.

This property was gorgeous both on the inside and on the outside. It is a spacious and airy house , with plenty of room for a family to enjoy. The property owner was was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. The description was completely accurate.

Two of the televisions did not work. The fire pit is totally unusable. There is nothing left to it, disintegrated. The toilets were brown. I'm its from the water but it comes off when scrubbed. The lower level floor was dirty. Deck and patio could have been cleaned off and yard is a bit messy with rocks. The house was great otherwise, just need a few things taken care of.

We had a great time the place meet all our needs, the location is perfect close to everything, the amount of space in the house made it so nobody felt like they were all crammed up. Communication with property owner was excellent, due to weather we had a bit of an inconvenience but property owner and staff wasted no time to take care of the situation, they followed up in order to make sure situation was under control and to ensure we enjoyed our stayed. We really appreciate everything the staff and property owner did to make sure we had a great family vacation. Looking forward to stay at this location in the future.

The house is a really nice size and had a great layout. We had a group of 16 and we were really comfortable. Not far from mountains and other activities.

Pros: house is spacious, plenty of room for our 6 adults and 2 large dogs. Awesome deck which we spent most of our time on enjoying the wildlife...deer, birds, squirrels. Etc. A lovely little beach is 2 blocks away, the Choctaw pool was a short drive, very clean. Cons: when we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the co.forters on the beds appear to have been haphazardly tossed on all the beds, a couple were literally hanging half on the floor. Several of the comforters had stains and holes. One in particular had a particularly disgusting looking stain. We called the owner and he asked for pictures which I sent him immediately. Ther te were also crumbs in the fridge, crumbs on th he pool table and all the window sills and sliding door tracks were filthy. His response was we should wash the comforter ourselves. I responded that noone is touching it and I expect a cleaning person to come and do it. He sent someone the next day while we were out. They appeared to not even touch the bedroom with th he bad stain, they left it there on the bed! I texted the owner, Amit and his response was nasty and uncaring. We will never go back, it's really a shame because the house could be beautiful with the right owner. Additionally the house needs a paint job, there are dents and chips on the walls throughout the rooms and th he handrail going downstairs is loose, and there is one cracked rail post on the deck (side facing the street).

We had a wonderful time at this property!!! There was a lot of space for our group to spread out. The deck was beautiful and we enjoyed most of our meals outdoors! The only downside is several of the mattresses should be replaced- they were not too comfortable.

The owner, Amit, was courteous and prompt in all communications and made sure we had everything in place prior to our travel date. The house was spacious and laid out well for our family of 6 to have ample space. The only complaint we have is that the house truly could use some TLC in regard to maintenance and a deep cleaning. We discussed the cleaning service with Amit and he appreciated the feedback. I assume he will address the concern with his cleaning staff. Beyond that, we would recommend Amit and his property. As a final note, if you like to cook as I do and have extra room when packing, you may want to take some of your favorite pots, pans and utensils as the supplies in the house are sparse. What did exist was heavily used and not taken care of very well.

This Beautiful Home was very cozy, Comfortable, and my whole family enjoyed it. However there were a couple things that need to be addressed and will be ! Are family comes from a line of Military, Medical Field, & Law Enforcement. We r very RESPECTFUL PEOPLE & STERN . The property was to close to other homes ! I’m not gonna write a BAD REVIEW! Because the owner is a very nice person and very accommodating, And with this being said I WOULDNT MIND TO COME BACK.!

Amit was a wonderful host, easy to work with and was very attentive to any issue or question we had. The house was as listed- Plenty of space for everyone of our party of 8 to stretch out and relax! Arrowhead community was lovely, beaches and pools well kept. The lake was a short walk away but every place else you did need to drive. All in all great house, great location, great community. We had 6 adults, 9 kids, and 1 baby staying at this wonderful home. We enjoyed every second of our trip and look forward to come back next year. We really loved the open space where the kitchen, dining room, and living were. The furniture was all comfortable in comparison to some homes I've been to in the past. The the TV's were a little difficult to figure out, but we got them all working except the living room tv, Which was fine because I brought my Roku box to use in that room. WiFi was great! Around the house there were a few nicks and dents in the walls, but nothing too bad. The house was beautiful and made you instantly feel at home! We loved the easy access to the pool and beaches. The beach was a short walk away. All the beaches and pools were similar and had playgrounds at all of them. I wish we did more at the lodge, but there is always next year! I would say my only suggestions would be some more seating down by the bonfire and maybe a picnic table down there to help when making s'mores. Thank you for allowing us to make memories for a lifetime!!!!

the property was great, spacious for the whole family. The beach was was a 5 minute walk and pool was 3 minute drive. Really enjoyed the home! Cant wait to come back next year!

This was perfect for our group, consisting of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 3-11). The home was very spacious and clean! The kids loved having the extra bedrooms downstairs to play, as well as the chance to play pool! The fireplace was perfect, as we sat and watched the snow fall. It was a very relaxing week. I would definitely rent this again!!
