About this house rental

3-levels of sleeping and living! Not just places to crash but real space to enjoy (no need to pack them in here - it's a vacation)! Lots of ways to play in the lake and the yard slopes gently to the water for more space for games and hanging out. The front entrance has a full concrete driveway with plenty of parking space and as many as 5 vehicles can be in the garage and under carports. Relaxation in this quiet cove starts on one of the many leather couches yet you can drive for dining, boat rental, or supplies in just a few minutes if you want. And, of course, the water is calling for your best cannon ball off one of the docks! Even in the off season (lake level is down October-April) you can put the kayaks and canoe in the water (no boat/water at the docks). Air hockey and foosball for indoor entertainment. Please note our checkin (4:00 pm) and checkout (10:00 am) times, but we are happy to allow a bit more time if you request it, and we don't have a quick turn. We want to do everything feasible for you to have a fantastic time!

This lake house was amazing! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed and more! The water was beautiful and the cove was very quiet. The house accommodated my entire family and was set up so that the teens could enjoy their time on their own level while the adults hung out upstairs. The house was clean and the owner super communicative! I would highly recommend this house and would love to stay there again!

Our very large family gathered at Lake Martin for a long weekend. Perfect location for family coming from FL, TN, Atlanta, and Birmingham. Great house! Very well stocked kitchen, towels, blankets, etc. Also all the lake toys - Kayaks, floats, canoe, great space for swimming and boating. Really EVERYTHING you could need. Great place for families! Also had lots of toys, high chair and 2 pack 'n plays for the littlest ones. Loads of parking! Perfect place for a big family! Hope we can return next year!

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay!! We flew down for my daughter's graduation from Auburn. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us to hang out all together or to just have some quiet time. It's right on the lake with beautiful sunsets and kayaking and paddleboarding and the air hockey table and fooseball in the family room downstairs made for a fun time also This was one of the most relaxing vacations everyone enjoyed themselves. Jim the host was very easy to work with and his response time was very quick!! We highly recommend this house for any visit to Auburn as it was only about a 40 min trip away!

What a fabulous place, even in the off season! Everyone had a private space, plenty of room for eating at the table and doing indoor activities. The two kitchen areas were wonderful to have. We even had some go canoeing in the chilly weather. Stores were conveniently located for anything we forgot to bring. Our only complaint was having to leave and rejoin the ‘outside world’! Thanks for this wonderful respite.

18 of us (4 sets of adults + 10 grandchildren) spent 3 days at this lake house for campus visits and football weekend at Auburn University (War Eagle!). The house was very accommodating - plenty of space. The open kitchen and great room were perfect for us. The 40 minute drive into Auburn was easy (we came in from Memphis). The master suite is huge! Downstairs living area was also huge. Bedrooms are nice. Lake Martin Pizza is 5 minutes away. Jim is a great host. It would also be great in the summer time with boating, fishing, enjoying the lake.

Such a wonderful place! Just wish we’d had more time to stay, relax and enjoy the scenery and amenities. Plenty of options for the whole family whether you enjoy having coffee and reading on the deck/screened in porch, playing games, or kayaking in the lake! Much to choose from and the house is perfect and the lake is beautiful! Will definitely book again when in the area.

We rented this home for our two kids and our grands; 12 folks in all. It was perfect. The shaded yard, plenty of swim space, well supplied kitchen, lots of square feet to get away from each other. Owners communications were prompt and on point.

This house is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I along with our kids and grandkids had an awesome time. This house is perfect for a large/multiple family with plenty of room and privacy for each. The description and listed amenities were very accurate. The house was very clean when we arrived. This house has been taken care of very well. There was more covered parking than listed. Along with a double garage, there was covered parking for at least 5 more cars. The house is easily accessed for unloading and loading vehicles. The only negative for us was the staircase from the kitchen area leading to the downstairs. There’s a solid door that when it is closed, could be somewhat dangerous if opened while someone is coming up the stairs. We had to figure a way to keep the door open during our stay because it won’t stay opened on its own. Maybe remove the door and have a baby gate for safety. This house is definitely a five star stay.

What a fantastic property! It fit the bill for all our needs and then some! Lots of sheltered parking, 3 floors with plenty of space. I wish I’d known there were a couple of Pack n Plays available, lots of air mattresses (which we didn’t need but in the future perhaps) booster seat for toddler, lots of board games and toys for little kids. The kitchen has absolutely everything you would need. We would love for Jim to sell us this place!! Highly recommend!

This was our 5th year staying at Lake Martin and we have found a new favorite house. We have a big group and this house was perfect. The owners make sure that you have everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. We had one issue with the stove breaker but Mr Jim was there in 30 minutes to take care of it. This house has moved to the top of our list!

This is a beautiful property! There is plenty of parking for large families. The house is well equipped with almost anything you can imagine. Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, the kitchen is well equipped. The lake toys were a great plus for the grandchildren. When we were not on the boat they were canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. The owner was readily available, although we had no needs or problems during our stay.

We arrived & didn’t crank the cars until checkout!!! Everything in the house was perfect for our group. We spent our days floating around the lake & playing with the kayaks and nights playing games around the large table. The location is on a secluded section of the lake which made it feel private. We will make our reservation for next year!

I was in search of a place for my entire family to stay for my daughter’s college graduation. This house was perfect. All the rooms were spacious and the entire house was very neat and clean. Lake access was a plus for the college-aged people in our group. We will definitely be back!

We had a group of 11 come to Lake Martin for our daughter’s wedding on a very cold January weekend. Jim was very cordial, accommodating and ready to assist. The house was beautiful, clean, warm and a great size for our group and plenty more. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we will be able to come back and enjoy beautiful Lake Martin in warmer weather.

The perfect family gathering

What an awesome place for our big family to gather for Thanksgiving and our sons wedding! It was cozy and spacious and we our thankful that we found this house to rent for these special occasions! The kitchen is stocked with most everything you need. Their are plenty of beds. My grand babies loved all the toys they already had there to play with as well. Thank you Jim! It could not have gone any smoother!

This was our second time renting this property with our group of 4 couples. We are longtime college friends and look forward to getting together for an Auburn game and time together The view, the fire pit, the size of the living area, and the number of bedrooms makes this house ideal for us. As we were all leaving, we started looking for our weekend for next fall. Cannot wait to book again! Highly recommend!!

The house and its amenities were amazing. Extremely clean and everything we could have needed and more. Location was great, quiet cove for swimming and kayaking, but also easy to boat to main sites on the lake. Plenty of separate areas for parents and kids to have own spaces. Bonus- covered carports for vehicles. Host was excellent and very agreeable to our requests. Would definitely choose it again if we return!

Our family gathered to celebrate my dad’s life, as Lake Martin was a special place for him growing up. The property was beautiful and spacious and the sunsets were breathtaking! The house was equipped with everything you’d need for a great time on the lake. The kids enjoyed the canoe, paddle boards and kayak and were even able to catch a fish or two! There was also plenty of indoor activities for the rainy moments. Jim was easily accessible for questions or issues related to the property. We would definitely love to return as a family as 17 Sumac Drive is now a special place for all of us!

Great location on a spectacular lake. 3 floors, each with their own bathroom was great for multiple families, bunk beds galore as well as air mattresses. Clean and very functional! Kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to cook and bbq. We rented a pontoon boat and kept it at the dock. Plenty of kayak, paddle boards to keep kids busy in between boat rides. Wifi was great. Oven was not working properly, but we made do. Let Jim know, so I’m sure it will be fixed. Jim was very helpful!
