Located at Lake Pomme De Terre, an Amazing Lakefront View Home fully furnished on wooded lot with private boat dock near Pittsburg, MO. This 1500 square foot home has a huge covered screened in porch facing the lake, less than 100 yards from the waters edge. There is also a very large outdoor deck facing the water, great for grilling out and relaxing. You can literally walk down to your dock for swimming and boating, in clear view of your back deck. The home is complete with free Wi-Fi, plenty of parking, 4 bedrooms The living room has a flat screen TV with Local Springfield channels , a WII gaming system (includes games) and an extensive video library with DVD player. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and filters, can opener, blender, toaster, regular utensils and plenty of disposable utensils too! There is a full bath with shower, vanity, and toilet. There is a fire pit area in the side yard with lawn chairs available. A propane grill is ready for use on the back deck and there are several chairs to sip your coffee or favorite beverage, and enjoy the breathtaking view. Our lovely home overlooks the lake (west facing) so their are beautiful sunsets on the water every evening Perfect for honeymooners, weekend getaways, or family gatherings.
Lake Pomme de Terre offers plenty of wildlife and relaxing lake access that is not as overcrowded as other Missouri lakes such as Lake of the Ozarks and Tablerock.
Cleaning fee is $100 for all stays.

Overall pretty good. Said they had a washer and dryer on site but the dryer was full of sheets and towels. Folded them all before I could use it. Recliner did not recline. It was pretty steep to get to the water. Thought by the pictures it was closer than it was. Not their fault but it rained the whole time we were there. Bummer.

I've always wanted to stay in a lake house that had a fabulous view of the lake... and I finally did it!
We spent most of our time on the enclosed deck, and the fire pit because it was so perfect outside.
The house had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals. Access to the property was easy, once I got the actual address to the place. The address VRBO send you is not a real address. But the property owner sent the actual address when asked.
The beds were super soft and comfortable.
We'll definitely be back!

The panoramic view of the lake was beautiful! The house was comfortable and clean and fishing was good! Check in was super easy. The hill down to the water is steep and a little challenging to climb. But overall a really nice place to relax on the water!

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Carpets were not vacuumed; the "yellow bedroom" had dust strings 3 inches long on the wall and on the plastic mini blinds; the closet had no room for clothes as it was full of paint cans, an unhung mirror, a mop and bucket and the vacuum. Also the mattress in this room was so lumpy that my husband and I could not sleep together in the bed. The sheets did not fit the bed and were pilled, The pillow cases did not match, there were only three pillows and the one case had two corner tears in it. Of the three bedrooms only one had a chest of drawers. The others had nowhere to put a suitcase or clothes. Valances in the rest of the house have dust hanging from them, also.
The steps off the deck were broken and the screened in porch had dirt and leaves on it from several years.
No one older than 20 could possibly navigate the steep hill down to the dock let alone carry any supplies to a boat. No steps and also, no electricity at the dock.
The back room with the dryer and bunk beds also is home to wasps. The dead ones fell from around the door frame when we entered from outside and the live ones are in the window air conditioner,
The outside has had little to no upkeep or landscaping done in quite a while as there are big weeds growing up around the perimeter of the house. Not inviting or welcoming at all. Obviously, only very minimal upkeep done for a long time. Need to get a new cleaning crew!

Overall we had a great stay. The lake view was magnificent. Overall the place was clean and as advertised. A couple things would have made the stay even better. A larger bed in one of the rooms would have been nice and should be considered by owners. A detailed map / directions to the nearest boat launch site is needed. There is a close one that is steep and not a lot of room to turn around but we were unaware of it and drove to the other side of the lake (25 minute drive) to the state launch site. The wi-fi was very slow and intermittent , and streaming anything on the living room tv was difficult. The coffee pot didn't work so we had to make a 15 minute drive to nearest town daily for coffee. The walk from house to the boat dock was very steep and keeping footing was very tough due to the grass being wet in the am and the spots with rock was tough on the legs and unsafe. Not a walk you would want to make with young children or if you are an older couple that may have problems walking up / down steep inclines. The boat dock is in need of repairs. interior dock guarding was missing or in bad shape. One spot on the dock had board missing and was a hazard. I thought the dock had electricity for charging boat batteries but it did not. It would be really nice if the owners added a fish cleaning station to the dock with a water pump. That should be mandatory for anyplace advertised as a fishing destination.

pomme de terre getaway
Property was very well kept. The only negative was that it only has one bathroom. But other than that it is easy to get to and with the boat ramp just down the road easy to access the lake with a boat.

Beautiful and Relaxing
My family had a great time. Loved the views and the screened-in porch! Just the right amount of space for everyone to relax. Had an issue with the fridge but it was immediately addressed. The relaxing weekend is just what we needed! We played games and had lots of quality time together. Enjoyed the fire pit and dock on the water quite a bit! Highly recommend! We will be booking again. :)

Beautiful scenery! Loved the screened-in porch! Clean. Good place to fish from the dock, which was a wonderful place for the boat the 4 days we were there! Everything was just as described! The owners were exceptional! Their response to any question was prompt and pleasant! We are already planning another trip!

Charming lake house with plenty of room. Wonderful screened in porch that overlooks the lake. Watch the sunset from there or the dock. Great location, comfortable beds and all the amenities you could ask for. Perfect lake getaway. Highly highly recommend

House was great with amazing views off the screened in porch. Nice dock for our boat. Kids had a blast on the lake!

Relaxing Vacation
It was a quiet place to relax. It was a bit steeper down to the shore than it looked in he pictures. We had no cell service at the house and had to drive a few miles if we needed our phones. The main problem with that was that we had he door code on our phone and not written down when we arrived.

Quaint Lil Getaway
Adorable property perfect for our lil family getaway. An older property but clean with some cute updates. The address numbers were not visible so passed by it but then found the house. The views of the lake were spectacular! We LOVED the screened in porch. Only bummer was the boat dock was like 3 feet away from shore and tons of limbs and branches were in the way but that could have been due to recent storms. Just FYI, the hill down to the lake is a pretty steep but other than that we have a wonderful time! Thank you!

Great stay at pomme paradise!
We had a great time! Water was high and there was a lot of debris in the water due to heavy rains before our trip. The fishing was great me and the kids had a blast reeling in all the fish! The house was very accommodating and clean. It even smelled good when we got there. We all loved the view and screened in porch. We would definitely come back for another visit.

Beautiful View
Great screened deck so don't have to worry about bugsand fun fire pit with plenty of wood. The kitchen has everything you need and the grill was great for steaks. We enjoyed hiking at the state park and cooking together and relaxing on the deck with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We enjoyed listening to the owls and coyotes at nigh. A great getaway from the city to reconnect with family and nature.

August 2020 vacation
This is the 2nd time renting. Love having the boat dock and screened in porch! That’s why I came back. Wish the owner would update the patio furniture. Mattresses are very uncomfortable & old. You can feel the bed rails if you sleep on the bottom bunk bed! Top bunk bed is unsafe because there is no bed rail and there is a ceiling fan right above it. Only had a washer available, no dryer. It must have been in back room, which was closed off. Kitchen lights did not work and burner on stove did not work either. Really only sleeps 5 comfortably.

The morning view is amazing! My children have never been here so it was so much fun watching them experience everything about lake life. My son in law had the best birthday!
