About this cottage rental

One bedroom, one bath cottage that was completely remodeled in 2015. All new tiled walk-in shower and bathroom. All new appliances in the fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator, Corian countertops and pantry. Queen size Tempur-cloud bed in the bedroom and a Queen size pull out couch in the living room. Air conditioning, Roku TV, DVD/BluRay/WiFi player, Stereo Radio/CD player, Free WiFi, off street parking, large screened in porch, Stacked washer/dryer and patio.

The property was very homey and comfortable as well as the surroundings area. It was clean and had everything we needed already in there. We felt very safe and welcomed we honestly can't wait to come back next year. I 110% recommend staying here.

Delightful cottage with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The host provided extra information on local shopping and restaurants. A wonderful piece of information provided for someone not use to the area. Enjoyed it thoroughly. We were in town for a volleyball tournament. Location was ideal. Thank you for such a great little getaway.

We had restful sleep in a clean, comfortable, and well appointed space for a weekend. Teen sporting events brought us to the area and we enjoyed being walking distance to the boat docks and restaurants in Tavares. Great location for a longer stay if you wanted home base for an Orlando area trip to be in a quiet town.

This lovely cottage is cozy yet spacious, the bathroom is impressive, and the many closets and cabinets insure that everything is handy and convenient. The screened in patio and pretty yard was a bonus that we enjoyed a lot. Plus the hard copy maps were really helpful when my GPS malfunctioned. I could easily snuggle into Fox Haven Cottage and stay forever. :-)

We enjoyed our two week stay at this comfortable cottage. Bill and Betty were gracious hosts. The screened in space provided a great area to enjoy the nice weather and also to read. The hosts have done a lovely job with the bathroom; great lighting and nice shower. I loved having access to a washer and dryer.

Cozy, quiet and quaint with a well-stocked cabinet of items to get you started such as coffee, coffee filters, sugar, etc. The bed and shower were both outstanding and comfortable. Soft closing drawers and toilet seat were an extra bonus. Very quiet at night. Easy access to numerous restaurants, grocery shopping, drug stores and ice cream places! Great location for me and the girlfriend to visit relatives for the both of us. Very responsive and friendly hosts . We even got a new recliner which was extra cozy, and free and clear washing detergent. Highly recommended just like all the other feedback has stated!

Nice neighborhood, beautiful main house. Very cozy and stocked with any and everything from shampoo to hot tea. Bill is a sweetheart. Thank you for having us , we plan to be back!

This cottage is essentially a mother-in-law suite attached to a nice traditional home in lovely Tavares. It's very near good restaurants and the lakefront. Very quiet. I happened to meet the owner and he's a very sweet man.

Cottage was just as described! Very convenient to everything. Host communication was exceptional, very responsive. The best was the screened in porch area, my cousin and I enjoyed that the most. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything you need is there, great location. A walk to the lake, 15 minute drive to mnt dora. Good neighborhood. The couch is a good size for children, but I don’t know about adults.

The cottage was PERFECT! We were able to watch the fireworks from the driveway! The catboat ride was AWESOME! All in all it was a wonderful mini vacation!

Kind and thoughtful owners. I came into town for an unexpected funeral for my dad, 72. Not a lick of gray hair on his head, physically fit. He was a Navy Seal and did 2 tours in Vietnam. I thought my daddy was invincible and would live forever, or that I would not have to live long without him as he was only 18 when I was born. The ease of staying at this Vrbo was a great comfort.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to stay and bike on some nearby trails. This cottage fit the bill perfectly! They supplied everything needed and more for a short stay. Comfortable and clean. Attention to detail. Quiet neighborhood, easy access to nearby shops, restaurants and activities. Easy to get to major roads at the location. Enjoyed visiting Mt. Dora just minutes away. Do suggest the sunset cruise on the lake. Would definitely stay again. Great hosts and quick responses. Thanks Bill!

When we arrived, we went into find fresh cut flowers on the table…….very nice. The cottage was very clean. Located in a nice area. Felt right at home. Love the little white kitty outside!

Beautiful, comfortable and clean. Owners were super friendly but not intrusive. Best stay we have had through VRBO. Highly recommend if you are traveling to Tavares or surrounding areas.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I. As we were checking out this morning we spoke to Bill and he was so friendly. We told him how much we enjoyed our stay. So much better than a noisy hotel room. We may try to visit again!!!!

all was as advertized, only problem was a slow shower drain and tried to contact owner as we vacated one day early and noone was at home although the owners car was there, other then that it was very nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fox Haven cottage. Bill and Betty were perfect hosts—available when you needed them and invisible when you didn’t. The cottage was comfortable with everything you will need for your stay. We stayed for a month. An added bonus for us was walkability. It’s an easy 15 minute walk to Wooton park and the lake where you will find numerous restaurants. It is also enjoyable to watch the float planes take off and land on the water. If you are considering staying at this property, don’t hesitate, it’s a keeper.

It was nice waking to the sound of birds. The neighborhood felt safe and we walked and rode our bikes all throughout Tavares, Mt Dora and Eustis. The shower had nice hot water and .great water pressure. The large screened in porch was very comfy and convenient to store a few items which came in handy because there was not much storage area in the the cozy apartment. The owners are great with any questions or needs we had. So appreciative to find a host who is considerate of peoples allergies and does not allow pets. Thanks again and hope to stay again.

This place is fantastic. Communication is great, location is central to Lake County so makes for short trips to Eustis and Mount Dora, plus, not far from Orlando. The place is immaculate. It's the little touches that are also appreciated...flowers on the table, coffee/tea/seasonings, appropriately placed flashlights, tissues, and more. We loved this place and will definitely book again should our travels take us to this area. Thank you, Bill and Betty 🙂

A friend and I rented this place for a small vacation. Everything was so clean. It's was so nice to have kitchen supplies and games already there. We never ran out of stuff to do. The pull out was very comfortable as well.
