Nice little cabin on the water. Had a great time and the location was good for exploring Olympic National Park.

We had a truly great stay here. An overall wonderful experience.

Peaceful, relaxing, amazing views, great host, wonderful amenities (games, books, telescopes). The floor to ceiling windows onto the Hood canal were the highlight of our stay. Amazing.

Beautiful location! Loved being right on the water. Felt like we were at a grandparents lake house. The house is nicely stocked, we had all we needed to cook most of our meals at the house. Plenty of firewood stocked near the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire ring down by the water made it super nice to have fires. The loft bedroom upstairs has a beautiful view!
The games need an update. Jigsaw puzzle had a note saying pieces are missing.
We would definitely stay again!

It was our first weekend getaway in over a year and I was excited to have found a place that was originally stated to be on the water and to have a hot tub. After the owner confirmed no hot tub, he offered us a cancelation but I thought it was still a great home so did not cancel. I also then received a note that they hadn't gotten over to turn off the camera and we would just need to unplug it. No problem, but then we found a second camera that hadn't been mentioned. Also, to note, do not expect a close location for getting food as we arrived late enough that we only found a bait shop still open. That night we also discovered no hot water. We waited until a reasonable hour on Saturday and called, and once again, excellent communication, but was told to go to the circuit box and turn it on and wait for the hot water tank to heat. Then to note we were told that it's a small hot water tank and that you are expected to take short/quick showers. OK. The home is very comfortable and nicely seaside/fishing themed decorated. There seems to be quite a number of rules listed in their book, but understand, but one note that stood out was trash is $6 per bag. As previous Hosts ourselves, all these rules, costs, inconveniences remind me why my friends always prefer booking a hotel. I would never leave a hotel room trashed, and respect wherever I am staying. I believe that this is indeed someones beautiful second home and it might just not be one to share with others.

Quite, clean place that allowed us close access to Pleasant Harbor Marina. Off the main street and Highway which added to seclusion. Will come back.

House literally on the water. The pictures don’t do the view justice. Very quiet neighborhood. Bedding and towels were clean, kitchen well stocked.

I would like to start with the positives, and then offer a couple clarifications here so others do not have the same feeling of bamboozlement I felt when arriving at this property. First off, the location is gorgeous, with high tide lapping right up against the back porch. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the views from the living room are amazing. The property owner is responsive and helpful via text or email. The major drawback to this house was that the listing is inaccurate. It is NOT a 3 bedroom house and the way it is listed made it past all of my filters. When I travel and book a home I search for at least 3 bedrooms so that everyone has private space and room to spread out, which we don’t have at home. I look forward to quiet mornings in the living room with a cup of coffee while the kids are still sleeping. Unfortunately the house is actually a ONE bedroom with a loft overlooking the living room counted as a second bedroom (I will give them that one) and the LIVING ROOM counted as the third bedroom (with a sofa bed). I looked back at the listing to see what I could have missed, as the property should not have made it through my very detailed planning. The listing says 3 bedrooms with 3 beds and that is absolutely NOT the case. Since the pictures are mostly of outside, it is not shown.

Perfect Stay
Lovely property right on lake with amazing views and great facilities. Comfortable beds and kids loved finding little crabs on the beach. It was the perfect family holiday or us.

This cottage is a modest family cottage with million dollar views. The trees are fantastic and help keep the cottage comfortable on warm summer days. The kitchen is very well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc. While it would be nice if there was a window that opened on the water side, we stayed comfortable for our entire 9 day stay. The location is perfect for us as we were visiting family on the same street, but it's a short drive to many wonderful hiking areas. We even had a day trip to Hurricane Ridge! The neighbors are close but very quiet. We had a great stay! Thank you for sharing your home.

We didn't spend much time at house as we were shuffling between North Cascades, Olympic, and Sequim but all of us were thrilled to return! Low tide was our children's favorite. They would see something and then at night would research online what they saw.

We had an awesome some time in Brinnon. The view way spectacular - we were greeted by harbor seals everyday!!! The location was perfect for us. We visited Lake Crescent, Forks, Rialto Beach, Port Townsend (whale watching) snd Seattle. Plus there so much to do locally! The house was very comfortable and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely return!

BEST TIME
We loved this house. The three kids slept up in the loft. Adults had the bedroom downstairs the kitchen was great, decks great, lots of chairs for outdoors. Saw; Eagles, otters, seals, kingfishers and ORCAS! We brought paddleboard and kayak. Great swimming. Very well loved house. We felt at home like it was a family cabin. Lots of personality. The owner was great and we were delighted to be there.

Beautiful canal view with wildlife. Direct access to a beach full of clams and oysters but picking/ harvesting is not allowed. Unlimited firewood for a nice campfire right on top of the water. There’s no need to bring any of your household supplies. Full of new kitchen wares and other cooking utensils. Plenty of towels and linens. House was very clean and comfortable.

Working remote isnt a holiday
We booked this location for a week of working from home. Pros-
we could work- no issues with network. Amazing view out from the main living room area to the water.
Cons -we didn't realize was that the location was right off the highway and there was no place immediately adjacent to head out for a walk other that the beach at low tide.......Other than that- the place was dated however it was clean and surprisingly the grilling facility was primitive at best..... that could be an easy fix!

Quite, great water view (low tide is a bit of a mud view at times) lots of wildlife and close to great hiking.

Cheers to the beautiful, scenic views of Hood Canal and the green, lush woods; The large, clean east-facing windows; Plenty of clean linens & household supplies; The intriguing nautical decor; Comfortable beds and chairs, The quiet neighbors; The overall cleaniness of the house & kitchen appliances; The collection of board games/books/puzzles provided; The quiet, rural location, (--which is just a short drive away from beautiful scenic sights, small towns/general stores, and charming little harbors & campsites); Cheers to the ease of communicating with our gracious hosts; and to seeing seals, blue herons, elk, deer, and bald eagles just outside our windows & in the surrounding area.
Jeers to the gnat infestation we had to deal with all week, (--had to throw out many glasses of wine due to "floaters"); The bat we had to remove from the downstairs bedroom, (--we don't know if this was a one-time incident or if it's an ongoing problem....either way, it was dramatic enough to be worth mentioning); Jeers to the hot, stuffy house due to poor air circulation and no AC, (--windows overlooking the water do not open so we were not able to enjoy the cool ocean breeze or the sound of water from inside the house--which was disappointing); The outdated, uncomfortable main bathroom downstairs, (--now we know why there were no pictures of the bathrooms on the internet); Inaccessibility to a washer & dryer, (we drove to Quilcene and Port Townsend to do laundry); and the kitchen utinsels/cookware were cheap & meager, (--did not have things as basic as a can opener or a decent cork screw, plus the pans were old and burned everything, found several chips in the glassware).
Things you should know before visiting:
-If you plan to go claming or play in the water, this house has no washer/dryer to clean your clothes.
-Downstairs windows do not open.
-The listing says it sleeps 6...that means two people will be on the fold-out couch.
-Be prepared to bring/buy your own cookware/utensils/spices if you plan on cooking meals while you're here.
-The water tastes funny.

Fun family vacation!
This was the first time we have ever done a vacation like this, but due to COVID and our Disneyland trip being cancelled, we had to look for alternatives. This was an excellent first experience! The house was comfortable for our family of 5, and well equipped for our stay. Our kids especially loved being able to walk right down to the water and play, and my husband and I enjoyed sitting around the fire every evening. Our preteen says "thanks for the Netflix access" which is a pretty standard request for a boy of his age! There is a beach within a couple of miles to dig for clams and harvest oysters, and a small dock on the state park side of Pleasant Harbor to go crabbing too.
We hope to be able to return again in the future!

The perfect getaway location for our Hood Canal Vacation.
After the past few months, we needed a getaway. We chose this rental because it is just a few miles from the Pleasant Harbor Marina where we moored our boat. We came for 2 days of shrimping, and this mini vacation was just what the DR ordered! The home is perfect for up to 6 people. The view out the living room and the great deck overlooking the water is perfect for relaxing, and we also enjoyed a waterfront campfire each night. The kitchen has most everything one would need, although we couldn't find a can opener (thankfully I had my trusty Swiss Army knife along). I would suggest guests bring comfortable camping chairs to use on the deck and around the fire pit. Finding the home is a little tricky. From the south, don't turn on Canal Rd. Instead, take the next right, about 100 yards north of Canal Rd where you see the playground equipment. This road takes you past the private boat launch and to the house. We have a full size long pickup and had to back into the driveway as it is a little tight. I had hoped to find a rental with enough room to park our boat trailer during our stay, but there is no way that would work here. Parking is ample for 2 vehicles, and a couple more would fit but it would be very tight. As for the accommodations, there is one bedroom downstairs, and a loft upstairs with a All in all, we had a fabulous stay,

Great Stay!
Very nice stay! The house is clean and the kitchen had a lot of utensils/ingredients/pots. They even had coal for the grill outside.
The only con is that it is a bit small for 6 people (only 1 full shower), but other than that, it was a great stay!

Visiting the beach house is what we look forward to every year!

Great location, good feel
House is at the great location, private and has overall very good feel to it. Short drive to multiple hikes. Kids enjoyed running and playing on the beach during the low tide.

Gem of a getaway.
We were traveling with children grandchildren and extended family. They had different larger places in the area but could not accommodate us so we stayed in the smaller place but everyone visited around. This place could easily accommodate 4. The loft is lovely and one grandson stayed overnight and loved it.
It is appointed beautifully . Be sure to get correct code for WiFi access and instructions for the TV
