We had a very nice stay at this VRBO and would reccommend it to anyone staying in the Seward area. Clean home and they even had the house stocked with things a person forgets about such as bear spray, bug spray, water bottles, sandals, books to read, etc. etc. The home was stocked and they even had a little welcome tray of salmon and cheese and crackers all ready for us when we arrived.

We loved the house, location, views, ease of communication with the property manager… the list goes on! I would highly recommend this place to friends and family and would stay again in the future!

Our family of four had a relaxing week at this wonderful mountain retreat. The views were stunning! Matt and Lana are exceptional hosts and we loved seeing the pictures on the walls from all of their amazing world travels. We did some fishing in the Russian River and also on the ocean out of Seward. Wonderful family memories - very highly recommend!!!!

Quiet. Watch mountain goats from windows and deck. Very retreat like feeling. Great central location for exploring Kenai Peninsula. Kitchen good and well stocked. Friendly hosts met us both ends of stay.

This was the last leg of our trip. This is an ideal location that puts you close to a number of destinations. Whether a quick trip to Cooper Landing or the highway to Seward you’ll find peace and tranquility at this place. We’ve had a wonderful stay and it more than accommodated our family of 4 adults. Hosts were not only responsive, but incredibly polite and helpful as we ventured through the area. We were even welcomed with a plate of delicious homemade smoked salmon, cheese, and crackers.
You will not regret your choice to stay here.

The house was very cute with lots of privacy. The owners communicated very well with us, and even left us some smoked salmon and crackers.
The washer was broken but they offered to pay for us to go to the laundromat.
Overall just great people and great place. Would recommend.

We came here for our Honeymoon and it was the perfect home away from home. Everything we could have ever needed was available to us and if we needed anything further the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Our trip went without a hitch. There’s nothing we would have changed about our stay. It was the perfect location, day trips to each place we went too with lots of hiking nearby as well. Everything was clean, operated well and the bed was so so comfortable!!!

The house was so beautifully decorated and the view was outstanding! Had everything we needed. We loved having morning and evening coffee/tea at the table with the view. So calming and relaxing! Unfortunately we had a lot of hiking and tours planned in kenai fjords so didn’t get to spend as much time as we would’ve liked at the house. It was great to come home to such a nice quiet place! Convenient location to Seward and Coopers Landing. Highly recommend. Matt was very responsive and helpful!! Would love to stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Moose Pass! This home is perfect for couples or a small group. Sitting outside on the outdoor deck enjoying the views of the mountain was one of the highlights of our trip. If you are visiting this area, don't hesitate and book this now!

Great property- located near main roads but far enough away that you feel as though you are in your own private oasis.
Owners are super and offeredsuggestions on where to hike. The smoked salmon welcome plate was delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - house was very clean and comfortable. In a quiet and scenic setting . Perfect place to relax . The location was excellent for exploring the south side of the peninsula yet not far from Anchorage. Many hiking trails close to the house . Matt and Lana were quick. kind communicators and fantastic hosts. Would highly recommend a stay here !

We could not have a better location for our family of four (including two teens) to attend a wedding at the Inn at Tern Lake and then spend a week day-tripping all over the Kenai Peninsula.
The cabin is adorable and well-stocked. I would advise getting your groceries in Anchorage or Seward as the local stores are more convenience stores than full-service grocery. The cabin has a great selection of spices and some basic staples, along with extensive cookware and serving supplies.
Rooms are tastefully decorated and beds were comfortable. Kids enjoyed taking over the loft as their personal space. We wish the weather had been more conducive to spending time on the deck and in the yard.
The hosts were welcoming and responsive when needed. The welcome appetizer was a lovely touch. Thank you for a memorable week!

First of all Matthew has been amazing from the very beginning, offering guidance and advice on things to do and what to see and answering any questions right off the bat! He was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to any and all questions we had during our stay. He even went out of his way to leave us a couple homemade snacks which were absolutely delicious! This property was gorgeous! The views from the living room window were like a fairytale. The property had great privacy, beautiful views, flowers and garden, and was a great jump off point to multiple different day trips. We loved this place so much we are even considering a property of our own in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone, although would recommend with the layout that if you have kids they be old enough to climb a steep ladder up to the second loft bedroom but not a deal breaker by any means. All in all I would definitely stay here again, it had everything we needed and more and the host was phenomenal! Thank you Matthew!

Matthew was a wonderful host and kept in close communication. We had a schedule change due to an airline issue and he was extremely flexible about it.
House was stunning and surrounding location was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is very cute, well stocked, and the property is private and lovely. The location is excellent proximity to both Seward and Coopers Landing for all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. Hosts are incredibly helpful and responsive. A+ rental.

This place is wonderful. You can tell that Matthew really cares about this place and it shows. Very clean and very comfortable. Enchanting spot to stay! We would definitely go back and love to stay longer! Thank you Matthew for allowing us to stay in your cabin. The scenery is magnificent.

We loved staying here! The owners made sure to keep in contact with us and were amazing! The house was everything we pictured when we were planning our Alaska vacation!

Perfect home in the heart of Kenai Peninsula. It has everything you need for a cozy Alaskan vacation. The place is on the small side and the stairs to the loft bedroom are very steep (as described), but otherwise, it is just perfect, surrounded by forest and the mountains, feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but actually, you are only a 30-60 minute drive from the main attractions of the Kenai Peninsula. The grounds are well kept and offer plenty of space for kids to run around. The hosts are lovely people. Would love to return one day!

Staying in Moose Pass was the best decision for our Alaska trip. The location is perfect for those that want a central point for trips into Seward, Russian River, Glacier hikes, or just relaxing.
Matt’s place felt like home away from home. I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

We loved our stay! Can’t beat the views. Close to civilization, yet it feels private and cozy. The hosts are very gracious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved Matt’s place. Would definitely recommend 100%. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was very comfortable and location is great - short drive to Seward, but even the immediate surroundings were a lot of fun. We could have easily spent our vacation just exploring trails and lakes within a few miles radius. Lots of books to read. Fire pit is very pretty. The description is not kidding about the waterfall cascading sound. We had a great time. Thanks Matt!

This house exceeded our expectations by far! The owners keep this place in top shape. It's super clean and super charming; and to add to all of that, the views all around are incredible, surrounded by mountains. The house alone could've been enough to call our trip a vacation.
This place is conveniently in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula, we could reach any corner of the peninsula quite easily from here. A nice quiet area that still has cell service! Wifi was available for us too, though.
Also, the owners were super helpful in accomodations and helping us get to know the area! We were super thankful for their help on our trip!

We completely enjoyed our stay at this quaint retreat in the woods. The property is beautiful and very well maintained from the inside to the lovely grounds outside. Matt, the owner, was so great in meeting us at check in, taking the time to show us around and chat with us about the area and things to do. He even had a yummy cheese, cracker and smoked salmon tray for us to enjoy - nice touch! We even added an extra night and Matt was very accommodating allowing us to do that.
My only regret is we didn’t see a moose in the yard nor did we have time to enjoy the fire pit which he had ready for us to use. Next time maybe.,,,
We completely enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again! Thanks Matt

Loved this house and location! Also loved the fact that it included a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. We visited Seward and Whittier with ease. Picked up fresh seafood to cook and enjoy each evening.

What a great cabin, it is beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. Brendan was easy to work with. There are gorgeous mountains right behind you and you can see goats up near the top. I recommend staying here.

Wonderful little secluded place from which to explore the Kenai Peninsula. Matthew met us upon arrival and checked in periodically throughout our stay to make sure we familiar with and comfortable in his home. He prepared us a snack platter with smoked salmon and fresh goodies from his garden, in addition he provided coffee, some starter foods, and access to the garden and many spices for cooking. The bed downstairs was comfortable; the rest of the furniture, a little less so for us. All responses from Matthew, including taking care of a mistake I made at booking, were addressed quickly and graciously. The home is in a nice location, secluded, has great views, is very quiet, and is in a nice location. In August, the weather was pretty much rainy every day but really mild overall and a nice change from the heat we get in our home town, which was one reason we chose Alaska in August for our vacation :)

We enjoyed our stay in this well stocked home. Mathew has travelled the world and has his kitchen stocked with delicious spices, walls decorated from his travels, and a view that you never want to depart. This home is close to many hiking trails, fishing and rafting charters, and a quick drive to Seward. The house is perfect for a couple, would be extra cozy for 2 couples, but doable. Personally, i prefer a firmer mattress, but this would not stop me from returning to stay at this great location! Thanks a million Mathew for your hospitality!
