Featured on HGTV's Lakefront Bargain Hunters, this beautifully renovated waterfront property is the perfect spot to decompress and get away from it all. The summer of 2018 will be it's 3rd year on the market, during which time it has housed many happy rental groups, including golf getaways for the dads, relaxing wine time for moms, and, most frequently, family getaways for the grandparents, kids and grand kids.
Feel the relaxation calm you each morning as you enjoy the view from inside the home where a sprawling wall of windows allows you to see the water from anywhere in the room or walk out to the large deck and become part of the scenery. Even the lake is calm in the morning offering a view like a watercolor painting with the trees and houses reflected in the water that is still and quiet.
The yard is a large, flat, grassy space that leads right up to the water where all can enjoy yard games (not included), the sandbox, relaxing by the fire, kayaking or paddle boating in the lake, or swimming or fishing off of the dock. The large shade trees make the yard enjoyable even in the hottest summer months. There is so much to do you'll never want to leave the property!
But, if you do, Treasure Lake offers so much more!
1. Head to the pool to enjoy swimming in the newly very large pool with a waterslide. While there you can get quick meals, snacks, or ice cream at Pirate's Cove or enjoy the outdoor poolside movie or the live music (music and movie are 1x/week during summer months only).
2. Check out the many beaches throughout the community: 2 on Treasure Lake and 1 on Bimini Lake.
3. Head over to Little Flipper lake (about 2 miles from the house) and enjoy waling on the nature trail around the small lake or fish in this smaller catch and release fishing pond.
4. All three lakes are stocked for the fisherman in your group too!
5. Have some golfers vacationing with you? Treasure Lake has two beautifully maintained golf courses, which both also have small restaurants at the clubhouse for everyone to meet up for a drink or a meal after golfing. Have a family putting contest on the putting green afterward!
This location also offers day-trip opportunities too! Elk Country is about a 45 minute drive away. Visit the visitor center and walk on the short walking paths with the family and enjoy the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds scenery. The visitors' center is full of information on the Elk and the area where they roam. While there, enjoy a wagon ride around the property and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife while you ride. The horses that pull the wagon are gorgeous animals and all of the staff is very knowledgeable about the area. My family including my children and grandchildren have for the past 14 years have opted to not buy Christmas presents for each other and instead make a memory together. This trip to this beautiful, spacious house was phenomenal! Fishing, kayaking, evening fires and a lot of together time!

The house was clean. Very roomy. Beautiful views of the lake. Had a great time kayaking with the family. Enjoyed it and would recommend it.

We have been booking this place for 6 years now and it has become our second home for our family trip. My grandkids call it the May House as we always go in May. We all love it as the amenities are perfect for everyone. We bring a lot of family games as well and with the nice yard, we have a family competition of wiffle ball, corn hole, ax throwing and kickball as well as the fishing and kayaking and nightly fires. Truly "Treasured Memories". So nice as the grandkids grow and remember these fun times away with family.

Our first visit to Treasure Lake and Sunshine Chalet was a great choice for our weekend. House was very accommodating for 10 women and we loved the large table for our dining and crafting. Kitchen was well stocked for all items needed. Having the extra frig/freezer in lower level was a bonus. The gas fireplace was enjoyed since unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for us to use the nice outdoor fire pit area. View of the lake was beautiful and very relaxing. Upper deck with large table that could seat all of us along with additional seating area was a plus. Bedroom set ups were great and beds compfy. Easy drive to Dubois for getting anything you need and/or looking for something to do. Recommend Angry Goat for nice place to eat.

First, I will start with what we liked:
The check-in was easy to follow.
The house was BASICALLY clean, well-equipped kitchen, and a very large and clean washer/dryer.
The view from the deck was great.
Our grandsons (3 1/2 and 6) loved the small kayaks and the pedal boat. We also enjoyed watching the deer.
What we didn’t like and why we deducted points.
1. When we arrived on Friday, I noticed that the yard was filled with GEESE DROPPINGS and DEER POOP, so much that it was hard to walk without stepping in it. I reached out to Meghan- she said that maybe the mower would pick it up. Since we had little ones with us, I spent over an HOUR picking up (by hand) the GEESE/DEER POOP..filling a whole grocery bag!!! I understand that geese are there, but I would have expected that they would have cleaned the yard. When the mower came, he would have just mowed over it.
2. There was NO KEURIG as stated in the description. When I reached out to Meghan she said that the previous renters had inform her that it was missing and that they have replaced it several times. I wished I had known prior as I would have brought my own Keurig maker.
3. Garbage.. we did bag our Garbage before putting it in the outside cans-animals still got in it- reading the rules it said that the Garbagemen wouldn’t collect it if it was not in bags as they reach into container. We spent another hour re-bagging other’s garbage-FYI they have mechanical garbage trucks-no one touches the cans.

This home was perfect for our three generations of family. With five roomy and comfortable bedrooms each one had our own space. The home’s location cannot be any better.
More than enough room inside and out for the eight of us. Easy parking. Easy access to all Treasure Lake has to offer but we rarely left the property because we were so comfortable.. The outside lawn is flat leading out to the water’s edge. We took “floaties with us and had fun with them in the water But the kayaks and pedal boat were enjoyable also….
We loved watching the boaters go by. Everyone everywhere was very friendly. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Property has nice lake views with easy flat lake access. House had all the necessary items to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Community pool is not open til closer to mid june after communication with owner, but swimming in the lake was fine.

Our family (6 Adults 3 kids) had a great weekend together at this clean and comfortable lake house. The owners were super friendly and easy to communicate with. All rules and regulations were clear. This place is a great way to relax and enjoy some time at the lake. Plenty of amenities and awesome extras. Tons of room for everyone to spread out. Comfortable beds and furnishings.

We celebrated our boys graduating from Clarion. It was the perfect house! We had everything we needed. The weather was not great, but the house was the perfect size that we were able to spread out and play games. We never felt cramped. The kitchen table makes for the perfect family game table. The boys did kayak between raindrops- those are so nice to have. There was lots of seating - inside and out. We all left talking about renting this same house again so we can all spend time together, since it is equal distance from all of us. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We sure hope to be back!!

This property was well maintained and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely time staying at Sunshine Chalet! The views of the lake from the house were so beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our family which included a baby and two young kids. The gas fireplace was a lovely feature. It rained during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor fire pit but it was a great setup! Would love to stay again!

Living/dining room lake views are amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
1.0 / 5.0
Every surface of the house was dirty and is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The table was covered in dried noodles and crumbs. The floor was dirty and not washed. The refrigerator and microwave were splattered with old food. The kitchen cabinets and handles were sticky to the touch. The windows were dirty. Basically every surface was filthy and unsanitary. There were fishing hooks and life jackets strewn about in the bottom closet and tossed onto a wet heap. The furnishings were cheap and filthy. The mattresses, linens, and pillows were thin and uncomfortable. The sofas were full of crumbs and stains.
There were several maintenance and safety issues throughout. The bottom sliding door was broken and barely attached. The knobs in the lower bathroom faucet were loose. There were multiple blown light bulbs.
The house is in a weird, gated community and we were overly questioned on arrival and reentry. We were harassed by security twice for some personal kayaks and fishing. There were restrictions to fishing which were not disclosed in the listing. We learned that you can only fish from the property or from a kayak in Treasure Lake and not from any of the other lakes unless you are a member or with a member. There was an undisclosed Ring camera outside on the lower level.
The homeowner did provide a partial refund for the state of the house and the issues we encountered.

Very nice house but needs to be cleaned better. We were thankful for the fireplace and space heaters as the furnace stopped working during our stay.

Our group had a great time! The weather didn't cooperate but it didn't matter because of the great views of the lake! The owners were very responsive during our stay with messages we sent. We would definitely come back!

The picturesque lake with autumn colored trees were enjoyed by all from the beautiful house! Deer were often seen in the back yard and throughout the community. We also had a beautiful a 45 minute drive to view elk near Benezette.

Beautiful property that surpassed our expectations.
Home was spacious and clean with plenty to do and great view of the lake. Enjoyed the lake view while having coffee on the deck each morning. Large backyard with nice firepit area to enjoy campfires and smores. Also, appreciated the organization of the homeowner. The provided list of items at the property and recommended items to bring was very helpful. Look forward to visiting again!

The lake house was awesome and we all enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed the ease of walking to the lake, the variety of watercraft to use, and the dock was used daily for fishing by my grandson. We enjoyed the visiting deer and all that Treasure Lake Resort has to offer.

Property and Lake were beautiful.family fished and kayak.we had a ton of fun. The house is wanting. They need new mattresses a new barbecue we had to go out and buy too many things because they don’t supply it other than that we had a great time.
5.0 / 5.0
We had a great time staying in this cozy home on treasure lake. The house and property is beautiful. It felt so private which we really appreciated. Early in the morning we would fish off the dock enjoying coffee and the taking in the lake views. Every evening we would watch Deer walk through the yard as we enjoyed the fire pit. The community pool and beach were nearby and we loved visiting those as well. I definitely recommend staying at this location. My family is already talking about going back we enjoyed it so much.

This was our 5th year, and this time we extended our stay- best trip yet!! The home was beautiful, freshly spruced up and the dock was new. Meghan is quick to respond and a gracious host. We are looking forward to our trip back next year!!

The property was great! We made use of the kayaks and porches daily. We had wildlife in the yard at all times.

We’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and this year was amazing! The weather was perfect - no rain and just so relaxing with the fishing, kayaks, campfires and playing family games in the yard. There are 14 of us and the home is perfect for our family! Since we’ve been coming back all these years, my 7 grandkids call it our May house and they are all mastering the kayaks and fishing. They range in age from 16 to 5. The lake is so peaceful and fun just hanging out at the house cooking meals, playing games and all the house amenities make it a wonderful getaway … it truly is treasured memories!!! We all absolutely love it… this time away kicks off our summer! Highly recommend this property!!!

The house was adorable and we loved having the kayaks & pattleboat to explore the lake. House was great for 2 families (appreciated having a second fridge in the bottom level). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the fire pit out back was great for hanging out in the evening and roasting s'mores. Overall a great place for a long weekend getaway with family!

We had a great time with our friends and their families (kids 10-17 years old)! Lots of room! We just hung out and played games for the weekend and could not have been happier with the space!
5.0 / 5.0
Had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 8, 6 & 2). Plenty of bedroom space, indoor and outdoor eating space too. Kitchen is scarce on supplies so bring what you need.
We stayed in April when the temperatures were in the 50s so the area was quiet. We were able to enjoy the paddle boat, kayaks, life vests & fishing rods though. The fire pit and chairs were perfect in the evenings.
Summers here would be beautiful. The community center has a beautiful pool and you could swim in the lake only a few steps away from the house.
Definitely recommend!!

Beautiful home and view. Really enjoy our stay there. Looks just like the pictures.
5.0 / 5.0
We rented the home in order to have extra space to rest our heads while visiting family at the lake. The home was so well appointed and spacious that I wish we could have spent more than just sleeping time there. We did have a problem with the heater tje first night and despite it being the Christmas weekend and in the midst of a bitter cold snap, the owner was able to have someone fix the heater the same day.

Very nice property. We loved our stay. Although when we reached out to the owner regarding the heat on the first floor we never got a response.
5.0 / 5.0
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The location was great and the size of the house worked out perfectly. We would stay here again.
4.0 / 5.0
Loved the fire pit! A few issues we encountered Missing plugs in the kayaks, paddle boat has a bent rudder, so you pretty much go in a little circle to the right. The cottage was meant for summer and would be a great place with all the outdoor amenities. Cleanliness was an issue for us, needs a thorough cleaning and window washing. We all had dirty socks from the floors. The counters and table were sticky and walls need some spot cleaning. The closet for the life jackets was in total disarray, everything thrown on the floor. I felt they required a lot of post use cleaning considering they charge a cleaning fee and it wasn’t very clean when we arrived.
There was supposed to be a Kureg coffee maker, we all brought pods but there was only a regular coffee pot. Great neighborhood !! The area is beautiful! I would rent it again in the summer if I was assured it had been cleaned well. Maybe we hit it at the end of their rental season November.
The owners were great about directions and informative with instructions on everything.
We did have wonderful time there and were glad we went. Even saw Punxsutawney Phil🤭. I only gave it a 3 star because of cleaning issues. The place is beautiful as pictured,

Our extended family rented the Sunshine Chalet for the weekend to celebrate my mom’s 85th birthday. The house and property were even nicer than the photos depict. Every room was clean, updated and comfortable. The fire pit, deck and kayaks were added bonuses. My mom said this was her favorite birthday out of 85!

The lake house was everything we could have asked for! Plenty of space and equipped with everything we needed. Lots of seating for our large family gathering. Loved having the kayaks and enjoyed the great fire pit! Meghan was quick and helpful when I had a couple questions. Already booked for next year!!
