Enjoy the secluded privacy of this hill country estate on 12 acres, just 2.5 miles from the main square in Wimberley. Sit in a rocking chair on the covered front porch and enjoy a fantastic view of the local valley and mountains. Sunset Ridge Escape can accommodate your small or large group (up to 20 people.)
The property is over 12 acres of secluded hill country beauty, with the buildings, decks, and outdoor living areas all arranged along the higher elevations to provide for the panoramic views. Enjoy leisurely walks along the Crushed granite walkways on the property.
The Main House of Sunset Ridge Escape is a Hill Country Masterpiece with Limestone accents and a metal roof. There are two large bedrooms upstairs, sharing one full bath, with the master bedroom and bath downstairs. The house is set up to accommodate entertaining, with an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The Living room has a wood burning fireplace with a limestone hearth. The dining room has a 8’ farm table that will seat 10 easily. There is a sun room on the back of the house, just perfect for your morning coffee.
The Guest House is just offset behind the main house and has 4 Master Suites and a large Game room with shuffle board, pool table, TV with satellite TV and stereo. It has large glass windows and windows to take advantage of the awesome view in front.
When reserving Sunset Ridge Escape, the Main House and the Guest House are included in every booking.
The Hot Tub is large enough for 8 people and sits on a rock patio next to the fire pit. (Separate from pool area)
We have a swimming pool with a sport pool ( 4' to 5.5' to 4' ) and a separate lounge pool ( 12' to 18' deep ). We also have a full outdoor kitchen with rock structure, stainless steel gas grill. (Propane provided for you)
The Observation Deck is a separate deck set back in the middle of the many Oak and Cedar trees that cover the property. It is a large deck (over 200 sq ft) and rises 10’ above the rock patio below. This deck offers additional seclusion and another opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of the Wimberley area. The deck above is sealed and provides a dry cover for the area below, which has tables, chairs, and a BBQ pit for more outdoor living areas.
The Fire Pit area is a large rock patio next to the Guest House and near the Observation Deck. There is a sunken fire pit with a raised rock wall, and there are comfortable chairs to allow your group to socialize, while they enjoy the warmth of the fire and the brilliance of the stars in the night sky. There is also a rock sidewalk leading to the Observation deck and driveway.
The Creek side Fire Pit is an inviting area under the shade of large Oak trees and next to a seasonal creek. Follow the crushed granite walkway from the house down to this inviting area with a fire pit. A great place to have a picnic or let the kids explore.

This place is everything that it says it is and more! Very clean, beds are comfortable, (upstairs beds need new mattresses but all other beds are so comfortable). The house was well stocked with everything you would need. The game room and swimming pool are amazing! It’s truly a gorgeous place, and we’ve already booked again for next year!!

The houses, pool, and property were great for our family trip of 16 people. Plenty of room for everyone! Everything was clean and well maintained. The pool area was our favorite, lounge chairs were great.
Our only suggestions would be towel racks/hooks to hang wet towels in bathrooms and outside for pool towels. And support bars in the showers for elderly guests.

Enjoyed having 2 houses on the property where family could spread out. Owners were very prompt in getting a repairmen out for a broken dishwasher. Would stay there again.

THE HOME WAS MORE THAN WE EXPECTED. SUNSETS AND SUNRISES WERE BEAUTIFUL. EVERYONE LOVED SITTING AROUND THE FIRE PIT. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IN 5 YEARS SINCE OUR POP PASSED AWAY THAT THE FAMILY WAS ABLE TO GATHER. WE MADE GREAT MEMORIES AND CAN'T WAIT TO STAY AGAIN OR AT ANOTHER PROPERTY.

Sunset Ridge was more than we expected! The name lives up to the experience with wonderful sunsets. Plenty of space to gather as a large group while having several areas to escape in smaller groups. We will be visiting Sunset Ridge for years to come.

The property certainly fit our needs. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and living spaces. The boys loved the game room. My favorite was sitting on the rocking chairs watching sunset.

We could not have picked a better place to host the wedding party. For some of us it was the first time meeting. Accommodations were amazing . We enjoyed every minute. It was spacious enough to allow everyone their own space. We definitely would love to come back!!

I booked Sunset Ridge for my mom's 80th birthday and my parents 60th anniversary. Check in was hassle-free, communication was easy, and the house was as promised... actually it's even better than the photos. We had the best weekend! We filled the house with our entire family and made memories to last a lifetime. I highly recommmend this property.

The property/scenery was GORGEOUS!
Everything was amazing, the pool, game room, bedrooms, both buildings were super clean too! All the amenities from the washers and dryers to the grill with propane already set up and ready to go, we definitely are planning to come here again !

This place is fantastic. Clean, well-appointed, big enough for our 13+ family, close to town but still secluded, a/c worked great in the June heat, pool was just right for us, dining table just right for meals and games, plenty of bed rooms and bathrooms! We want to come back next year.

The property is very NICE! Very very clean, beautifully decorated all around! Showers a plus! Porch a plus for beautiful view! Pool was cool but amazing! We had kids ranging from 6 to 11 and 9 adults. More than enough room for everyone. The playroom was beyond fun I highly recommend this VRBO. Kitchen was well stocked. Just can't say enough good things. Thanks Shiloh for everything!

This is an amazing property! There was plenty of room for our large family & with many activities to do on the property. The house, the and the additional rooms and game room are even more beautiful in person. Shiloh is a great property manager who is always available to answer any questions you might have! I have booked many homes for our family vacations and this was by far our favorite!

Place was nice and big enough for the get together. Accommodations matches what is on the website. The check out instructions from the rental agreement didn't match the one on the property. Needing updated mattresses. Not clear instruction where to find the lock box for the house key. All and all nice place for a large group, plenty of outside porch sitting and views.

This is one of two properties rented for friends and family for my wedding. The house is beautiful and I loved being able to have such a large group together at once. Management company is easy to get a hold of if needed.

We had our annual preschool staff retreat here and it was perfect. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space as well as wonderful community spaces for us to enjoy. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and highly recommend the property to any large groups.

We had our family reunion at Sunset Ridge Escape and it was nothing less than amazing The house was so comfortable and inviting and the guest house was perfect! The game room was a hit for the kids. The game room gave everyone a space to unwind while the kids (young and old alike) enjoyed the various game options! Both houses were also so clean! The space in the main house was large enough for all the family to spend time and have a nice meal! The evenings were gorgeous with the upper deck! My 10 year old spent some time up there with his telescope. The occasional wildlife was a hit with the family as well. Overall, staying here was such a great experience! We definitely made some cherished family memories and hope to return again! ❤️

We were in the Kyle area for a family wedding. This rental provided a relaxing place to hang out in between the scheduled events. The pack and play and high chair provided made traveling much easier for our family. It was also nicely furnished- comfortable beds! Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!

We have a group that travels to the hill country annually. This was year number 8 for us, so we have seen many properties together. This property was a wonderful layout for couples and the kitchen was expertly stocked. The other highlights were the game room, front porch, hot tub, and location.
The downsides that kept this from from a perfect stay were 1) The property manager, Shiloh, does not communicate in a timely manner with guests. It took us over 6 hours to hear back about a broken shower while we were staying on property. We also had struggles getting questions adequately answered about the property pre-stay. Delays are acceptable prior and post stay, but not while on property. 2) Shiloh unexpectedly offered us $100 rebate for the broken shower, which is awesome, but we never received it. I have followed up on this, but have yet to receive a single reply. 3) The property could be cleaned just a little bit more. The floor near the shuffleboard was covered in sand when we arrived. And there were signs in the bedrooms that indicated that while they do clean sheets between each occupant, they do not clean the bedding. This made us wonder how dirty the quilts and pillows were. 4) Our mattress was a sink hole and very uncomfortable. I heard some of the other mattresses were wonderful, so we had a bit of an inconsistent experience.

We had a great time staying at this property. There were 12 of us including 5 young adults who loved the room with the pool table and shuffleboard. The weather was wet so we spent a lot of time playing cards and watching World Cup, there was room for all to enjoy. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We held our every two year sibling reunion. We are all above 74 yrs old. I would venture to say that this home was the best we have had in all our stays. We used every room and each had our own restrooms. The beds were great. The air conditioning was needed and worked really good and the beautiful pool was a plus. So many areas for all 10 of us to spread out for visiting. The kitchen is full of pots and pans.
