About this house rental
Recently refurbished historic three storey stone house with sunny walled garden and off street parking. Situated minutes from the town centre with all the local amenities just on your doorstep.
All the beds can be made up as singles or superkings which makes the house ideal for golfers, family gatherings or groups of friends wanting to explore the delights of St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife. One of the best things about Dauphinhill is that you don’t need your car to make the most of the town. All the Links courses, the restaurants and shops are only a short walk away.
Set over 3 floors, this charming house comprises of a well equipped kitchen with french doors to secluded south/west facing garden, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, cloakroom and large sitting room/diner with working gas fire and 54 inch Smart HDTV. Sky Sport, Netflix, Amazon Prime all available with subscription.
On the first floor you will find the master bedroom with super king/twin beds and ensuite shower room. There are two more big twin rooms on this floor and a large shower room. On the attic floor there is a super king/twin room with an ensuite bathroom comprising of a bespoke glass walk in shower, toilet, bath and underfloor heating.
All the bathrooms have large shower enclosures with power showers and heated towel rails.
Outside the sunny garden has a big terrace with table, chairs and a gas BBQ, great for alfresco dining. The garden is completely walled and fenced and the beds are filled with shrubs and roses, it's charming spot for a bit of relaxation. A small path leads through the lawn to the golf store and private parking.
The house was built in 1794 and possesses a wealth of period details. The refurbishment was completed in January 2019 and while the interior decoration has been finished to a very high standard with lovely comfortable beds, contemporary bathrooms and luxurious soft furnishings the house still manages to retain much of it's original charm and character.
Beds: The house is setup as two superking beds and four single beds. If you would like a different configuration please confirm at time of booking otherwise we cannot guarantee the change.
Utilities: Bosch Fridge Freezer, Bosch 4 ring hob and single oven with combi microwave, Bosch dishwasher, washing machine and seperate tumble dryer.
Other: Hotel quality bed linen and towels are provided. Travel cot and highchair can be supplied if requested.
Free wi fi throughout.
Recycling. Guests are requested to follow recycling instructions as set out in house notes.
Parking. Strictly for ONE car with free on street parking on an adjoining street.

We stayed in St Andrews on a family holiday to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The house was great, a short walk to the town and east sands beach. It had everything you needed, and parking wasnt an issue on the side road for the additional car. Would highly recommend.

Dauphinhill is a beautiful home , centrally located and very well equipped . Everyone had lots of space and on the occasions the sun shined there was a lovely garden to enjoy .

Could not ask for a better location, walking distance to everything. A car or taxi is helpful if you're going to the links with your clubs although a couple of us did walk down with out clubs. The beds were comfortable and the rear yard was great when the sun came out. Would definitely book again. We were 8 golfers ranging in age from 60 to 74.

This is a great house and location! We were able to walk into town for all our meals and shopping. Could not have asked for a better location. The house had enough room for all 5 adults in our trip. Would highly recommened.

Our family stayed in this lovely home during our sister’s wedding. It was just perfect for us (3 adults and two young children). The house is very comfortable and perfect for a young family as it has a high chair and portable crib along with plastic dishes etc. the garden is lovely with easy access from the kitchen. All in all a really great stay! Hope to come back again!

What a perfect house for a St Andrews trip. I tagged along with my husband and adult sons on their golf trip. The location couldn’t be any better. Walkable to everything-restaurants, grocery store, shops, golf course. The house is very large with plenty of storage for golf clubs, etc. Everything was so clean and communication was great. I loved sitting in the beautiful side garden. Just make sure to put Dauphinhill as address for any directions or delivery as there is no house number. You won’t be sorry renting this charming house.

The house has been nicely updated, while still keeping plenty of character. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the location was walkable to all of St. Andrews, plenty of space for our group of eight, and the garden area was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend and will try to book if I'm lucky enough to make it back.

An excellent stay in a well equipped property in a great location. The property was very well presented with some lovely touches that made us feel very welcome and at home right from the off.
The single parking space was essential as one member of our party had mobility issues so this, and the proximity to the centre of town, was a big factor in choosing this house. Parking in the nearby streets for a second car is easy enough but at busy times could mean a walk of a few minutes to the house so something to be aware of.

We booked this house for our sons wedding at St Salvador's. It could not have been more perfect. The house is beautiful and the reception areas were just right for our family and friends.
The house is also a very easy walk from everything in St Andrews being a short distance from the high street.
There is parking for one car on the driveway and a street adjacent to the property allows for permit free (at this stage) parking which was essential for us.
The owner was a delight too.
Recycling and bins were a bit of a drag though and I think there is an opportunity to improve the recycling bin arrangement inside the house to make it easier for tenants.

Lovely house, well equipped, tastefully decorated, very clean. Spacious lounge/dining room & large kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Only 1 parking space on site, but we found spaces in the street outside fairly easily. Excellent location, easy walking distance to town centre, restaurants, take-aways, etc. Owner was very helpful with advice & recommendations. We were a group of 4 couples, enjoyed our stay very much & would revisit / recommend.

Dauphinhill House - best property we have stayed in St Andrews
Beautifully appointed house, tastefully furnished with original art, antiques and very clean modern bathrooms. This is a cosy house, but the lounge and bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and fine linen. Centrally located, a few minutes walk to town centre. Phillipa was exceptionally responsive and pleasant to deal with. Pretty out door garden with grill was an added bonus on warmer days. Made our graduation week with daughter and grandparents a truly magical experience .Will be back! Thank you Phillipa!

This is a beautiful property ,well equipped for holiday letting sand tastefully decorated throughout. It is in a perfect location for town and beach in St . Andrews. We stayed as two families with teenage daughters over New Year and it worked perfectly for all of us . Philippa was excellent to deal with from booking to staying ,thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
