Living Spaces
As you walk up the front steps to a covered front porch complete with a wooden bench, you'll feel like you're home already. And it just gets better when you walk inside. The first of two side-by-side living rooms is furnished with a cozy sofa and two chairs, one of which is situated in a sunny alcove with stained glass windows, perfect for curling up with a good book. The large HDTV invites you to relax with a beverage and a snack while you stream your favorite new bingeable show. Either way, this welcoming space will surely become one of your favorites. The second living room is perfect for quiet conversation, set up with a sofa and two chairs facing each other. A great spot for planning your next day's activities! This property was very comfortable for a big group. There is a great pool, several outdoor porches and a firepit, and a barn with a pool table. It is close to town and the lake. The rooms were comfortable. The six bedrooms upstairs all had fans as well as a/c and were nice and cool. I worried that an older home may not be cool upstairs but that was not the case. We had 14 people and with the four different shower/bathrooms it was no problem. Great time with all ages in our family.

This house is comfortable, warm and spacious. The location to downtown, parks and shoreline is perfect. Every bed was a welcome retreat. We will return to this house that accommodates 10+ adults and a toddler.

We wanted a low key Father’s Day weekend get-away to spend with our dad. This house gave us that and then some. We not only had a beautiful house to stay in, we also had a great place to enjoy ourselves and have that family bonding we hadn’t had in years. My family appreciated everything this house had to offer.. pool, ping-pong table, pool table, etc. Thank you to the staff who have been more than helpful and accommodating to us.

We were a family of 13 celebrating an 80th birthday. The house accommodated us quite comfortably. We enjoyed that we could walk to the beach and downtown. There was plenty of thing to keep our young grandsons busy. The house was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped.

South Haven Summer
The Ross House was a perfect destination for our family of 16 (10 adults and 6 children from ages 3 to 19) to meet from near and far! The house was so charming and easily accommodated us! The kitchen was well-equipped and the outdoor amenities exceeded all expectations!! The pool, hot tub, game room, fire pit and porches provided spots for endless activities for all members of the family. And, the location could not be more perfect -- easily walkable to the beach, the harbor, the lighthouse, multiple playgrounds as well as the quaint downtown shopping/dining area. There could not be a more perfect location to enjoy all that South Haven has to offer!

Great Birthday Get Away
We couldn't all be together for Thanksgiving so wanted a central location to gather and play games and be together. This spacious house with many bedrooms was perfect.

Great. Everything for a nice vacation.
We love this place. Pool, hot tub, pool table, basket ball, fire pit, large kitchen to prepare meals, large table for eating and games, large living room. You never need to leave except for the beach and a dinner out.

We loved the location of this property and of course the pool which was the main reason we booked it. But as far as what you get for the price, we were disappointed. The house is old and out dated. Things didn’t work properly (door handles, lights, peeling wallpaper/paint) The house itself, decor and landscaping could have used more attention. We arrived to the home with every trash can full to the brim and had to wait 2 days for garbage day. I guess we expected more for the amount of money we paid. But, overall the best part of it was the memories that were made with our large family on vacation for a week. South Haven is a special place for us and we will be back!

Being 2 blocks from the beach AND 2 blocks from the town were huge positives for us. The listing does not show a picture of the actual pool, but do not worry about this - the pool is AMAZING. In the house, we did have an issue with a spot on the floor that was clearly getting wet from something beneath it... a leaky pipe? The property managers were VERY responsive and had someone look at it right away. They were also very patient/understanding with a mistake we made with leaving a hose running and kids getting into spots they weren't supposed to go...
What is worth noting for this property is that being an older house, MOST of the bedrooms do not have a closet. There are some dressers, but a couple of hooks on the backs of doors or on the walls (that you can put hangers on) would really make it nicer. Also, as is common in older houses, it might be worth being aware that it isn't an open floor plan. The living room, for instance, where we hung out as a family, is around several corners from the kitchen.
That being said, the bathrooms were spacious and nicely updated (except the master bathroom, that was a bit tight), lots of fluffy towels, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The house is beautiful and easily fit our family reunion of 15 people and 3 different families.

Nice house, property managers could use improvement
The house was great - it is huge, has 7 bedrooms and lots of outdoor space. Our kids loved the basketball hoop and playing pool in the garage area, though the garage was full of a lot of pool supplies so it was pretty difficult to navigate - getting to the ping pong table was very difficult. The house was decently clean but we did find more than one left over sock under the beds so that was gross. My main issue was with the property management group. When we arrived there was some one in the drive because the hot tub was broken. He wasn't able to fix it so they sent someone out the next day. The maintenanc person they sent was planning on emptying the hot tub into the yard while we were there (I only found this out as I went outside and saw the hose from the tub into the yard). We asked them not to because we didn't want the yard to turn into a swamp and freeze over at night (we were with 4 kids and 2 dogs). He called the the management company to let them know of our concern and then he left. I then called to request a late check out (check out is 10 am) which I had previously called about but they told me to call back the day before leaving. There was no reservations for that day or the next day (I checked) but they denied my request because they had to fix the hot tub. Which I found a bit ridiculous given it was not our problem the hot tub was broken but it became our problem. Then on the day we were checking out, we were unpacking the house, it took a bit more time (we had 4 kids between 5 and 8 and two dogs) and we were about to head out around 10:30 when I got a call from the property managers saying the cleaning people had "driven by 3 times and were waiting for us to leave". We were clearly packing our cars and trying our best to get out, so I found this a bit distasteful. All and all the house was great and it was easy to access I just felt the property management company only cared about getting us in the house and not necessarily ever having us come back. They were more concerned about the next client then the current one.

Perfect getaway
We did a scavenger hunt on the property, morning walks into town or the beach, loved the hot tub, fire pit was lovely, everyone had their own room, the living room doesn’t have blinds which was a little fish bowl-like but everyone walking by seemed used to it. We had the best time.

Property was perfect for our family. Close to the beach/playgrounds as well as shops, grocery store and boutiques. Absolutely loved the pool and hot tub! Corn Hole was an extra bonus.

Great location to beach and downtown area. Very much enjoyed the pool and fire pit. Plenty of space for the family to spend time together, inside and out. Extra fridge nice to keep drinks cold without using fridge in kitchen.
