Beautifully-furnished two-bedroom, two-bath condo on the quiet north end of Monarch Hills condominium complex, right at the entrance to the walking path down to the beach. The walk is about 1 mile and takes 20 minutes.

The complex is adjacent to the St. Regis Dana Point, one of three five-star hotels and resorts in California. Two others, the Ritz Carlton and the Montage, are nearby. The community of Dana Point is very upscale, and is located convenient to San Diego, Sea World, Disneyland, Los Angeles, and the best dining, shopping, beaches, golf, and tennis in Southern California.

This is a gated community and includes your own covered parking space. This is a ground floor unit with 3 small steps to descend when entering the convenient 1,200 square-foot single-story condo. This relaxing and tastefully decorated condominium is perfect for two couples or a family looking for a beach retreat.

The owners have provided two bicycles with locks, boogie boards, and a surfboard for guest use. The unit has two 39-inch HDTVs with HD DVD players in both the living room and master bedroom, and a 32 inch HDTV with HD DVD player in the guest bedroom. All TVS have streaming Smart TV options. WiFi is included.

Enjoy meals in the separate dining room or , in the breakfast nook, or outside on the patio table. The kitchen is fully-equipped with dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and all your cooking needs, and a barbecue grill outside. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with your own private bathroom. The second room has a queen bed. Both have spacious walk-in closets. There is a sofa bed in the living room. The condo also has its own laundry room with washer and dryer.

We enjoyed our stay at this nice, clean, secure condo with ample parking close to the beach (about 1 mile hike). Everything was just as advertised in the listing.

This was a fantastic stay. Very spacious and reasonably priced. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was beautiful. My one criticism is that there is a very strong sulfur smell in the Master bathroom sink, and the property was a bit dusty. Would recommend the host try to remedy. Other than that, great! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The property was ideally suited for our needs as it was close to the area where our American relatives live. We did not spend a lot of time in the accommodation but when there it was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. It is in a good area and close to a lot of beaches and coastal towns.

Very clean place. Nice safe walk too the beach about 25 minute walk with kids, The pool is not right outside of the condo it’s in the middle of the condominium, and there is no ocean view

The owner and property manager were always fast to respond, A+. Location is A+. Accommodations A. Would I stay there again? I prefer an upstairs unit or top floor. The people above us were also a short-term rental, were noisy and we could easily hear them walking above us. The other thing I suggest to the owner is to get better beds. The beds are just okay. I recommend buying two new beds from Costco down the street. On the pillow front, I recommend two different pillows, a fluffy one and a flatter one; this way the guest have a preference. These two small changes would go a long way. I might get picker as I get older and have more experience staying places.

Condo is great, and is perfect for a family of 5. Convenient location. Everything was as advertised. Stocked well with anything you need for the beach (chairs, umbrella, cooler).

Pros: host responds promptly; kitchen well equipped. Cons: fireplace can’t be used; tvs useless unless renter has own streaming service; beds and pillows need to be replaced; no lights or side tables to make reading in living room possible; carpet with trip hazard runners in MB is filthy where not covered with runners - we don’t wear shoes in the house - socks and slippers were filthy from walking on floors; mold around shower curtain guards in baths

Had a great stay here. Very clean and was priced right. The host was easy to work with and replied to texts promptly. Maybe could use a better master mattress. Other than that, we loved it and hope to stay there again one day!

Excellent stay. Home is welcoming, cozy and has everything you need. The Master bed was very comfortable. To top thia off, the location is prime. I rode the bike down to the beach one morning and it was just so lovely. The ride back up was tough for me but still do able. Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and would stay again.

Property was super clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Easy door entry. Everything worked! Guest bedroom mattress REALLY needs to be replaced. Unit is on ground floor but there are 3 steps down from parking lot that can be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Everything was great, but for comfort level it lacked decent pillows, no fan in the master bedroom for white noise and comfort, and I would recommend hooks; (over the door type, free standing or wall mounted ones.) For me, the pillows and fan would prevent me from rebooking.

Property and area were as described. Close to many conveniences, beach, restaurants. On first level so easy to bring things in and out of place. My only complaint was cleanliness. Owners need new carpets and better cleaning service. Also need to air place out as it is by the beach. Many places by the beach have that issue and dehumidifier would do the trick. Cheap Beds frames had sharp corners so easy to hit shins Jason very easy to work with. Super communicative and wish all managers were like him Owners need to spend more money on place

Very clean and well maintained property. Jason was very easy to work with and responsive to any questions or issues. Comfortable and well maintained furnishings including well equipped kitchen. No surprises - 4th time staying there, will definitely return.

The property was beautiful and located in a perfect place. It’s walking distance to salt creek, the Ritz and the Waldorf It makes you feel you are living in a community. My only concern which is minimal is the guest bathroom fan which was quite loud and doesn’t work well. If it’s replaced I would suggest you put the fan and light on separate lines. Otherwise I would recommend the papery as a wonderful place to stay. Thank you Jason for being totally responsive.

I was familiar with this neighborhood because I use to live here. I love the path to the beach, but only a short drive to Salt Creek Beach for more great walking. Close to good grocery stores such as Trader Joe’s, Gelsons and one block from a farmers stand with excellent fresh produce. This condo is right off the parking, but surprisingly quiet. A bit dated, but great value for the location. You will love this area!
