Cute little house right on the lake. My girlfriend and I had an excellent time. Very relaxing to sit out by the water. Would come here again!

Very quaint and peaceful stay. Had a restful nice stay

Cottage was fine other than very low ceilings/doorways but the lake quality in front of cottage was disgusting- a sludge that smelled of sewer so being by the shoreline or walking on the dock was unbearable.

Great property!
Close to town. Clean and fully furnished. Boat dock awesome.

We enjoyed our stay. Hosts answered questions promptly. The weather was crappy but we were happy. LOVED having such good radio! Lighting could have been brighter. Beds were very comfy. Lots of outdoor seating. We wish there would have been a dishwasher and laundry appliances.
And 1 bedroom had no chest of drawers. Overall we had a pisitive experience.

If you are dealing with the hustle of everyday life and need some time to kick your feet up, have coffee in the morning on the dock at the lake, sit by a campfire at night, wet a line, walk to the quaint little downtown area of Bemus Point for lunch, dinner, wine bar, brewery. This little gem fits the bill! Property owners are awesome! We will definitely be back.

We were pleased with the unit and the location. The only drawback was the gazebo had rusted scaffolding stored around it that took away any thoughts of enjoying it in the evening. That’s why we only gave the online listing three stars instead of five.

Property is a cute 1960s type cottage. it was fairly clean and the Internet was blazing fast. We did not use the televisions. Storage space is limited. There is one small closet in the house - in one bedroom. The other bedroom has no closet and one dresser. We stored our suitcases in the car because there was no place else to put them out of the way. We have come to expect with renting houses from VRBO that towels are included. Somewhere in the description of this property there is a mention that towels are not included but we missed it. We were surprised a couple days ahead of time when the owner notified us that towels were not furnished but were available for a fee of $35. We were able to stop at a secondhand store and pick up some used towels for $8. The property does not have a garbage disposal. We bought oven cleaner to clean the oven in the kitchen and the outside grill. The interstate road noise was audible, especially at night when the 18 wheelers slow with downshifting and engine braking.

We had a short work trip in the area and stayed at this cottage. It was clean inside and had everything we needed. Only thing to note is that it has really low ceilings so if you are over 6 foot (my friend is 6ft 3 in) you will have to watch your head and will have some difficulty in the shower. She had to sit to shower but other than that, it was a comfortable short stay.

Beautiful little spot right outside of Bemus with deck, dock, gazebo, grill and hammock. Property manager clearly described everything in communications to us. Only issue we had was the water stunk (had to buy our own water to do everything) and the car traffic is loud, but i know that cannot be helped.

Dana,
Thanks for allowing "us" at your cottage. We had a company event and had booked several places in Bemus and yours was one of them. I personally was not in your cottage whatsoever, but heard from others. They said it was clean and that all was good. Thank You!

The cottage was furnished with everything we needed, inside and out! It was conveniently located - an easy drive to Chautauqua Institution, the wineries along Lake Erie and a nice walk into the village. The views of the lake were awesome, especially the sunsets!

The cottage is well supplied, amenities are as advertised. The lakeside setting is great, the porch, gazebo and fire pit are wonderful. Dana was very easy to communicate with if needed. This was our second time staying here.

We enjoyed our vacation, which was a great location for all of the activities we wanted to do. Attending a high school reunion, Scandinavian Festival, seeing family & friends, Roger Tory Peterson Institute, dinners in Bemus Point, and sitting outside watching the boats, ducks and baby rabbits! The cottage was clean and welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay and we would rent this again!

Was bombarded by the owner as soon as we got there. He was polite, but let us get in the door first. I'm standing there for 20 mins holding the key. After 3 hr drive we just want to get in the house not talk and answer 20 questions. Then the owners sit in the yard or in their boat all day at the dock and never leave like you are being watched. Felt like I had no privacy. We're trying to make my ESA dog an issue which is highly illegal to discriminate against for. They leave a bag of rags on the counter because the toilet floods the bathroom and then you can't even use it. They sit there next door telling you over and over if u need anything they are right there, but your kid falls and scrapes his leg, and you ask for a BANDAID, it's " go buy one at the store!"

Not 5 star spectacular, but nice for our purposes. The dock was not in good shape. The area in general was easy to get around in, and we knew in advance that the rental was not set up for fishing; so we did not feel misled or disappointed with our stay. If going to the area again for other than fishing, I would stay again.

Very clean and comfortable cottage with a surprisingly large yard. The deck and small gazebo provided beautiful views of the lake. The owners made the rental process very easy and trouble free.
