Our Pacific Oceanfront, Once-in-a-Lifetime private home, is right on the water and minutes from downtown San Francisco, Berkeley, and Silicon Valley. We provide a stunning place to spend a week or a weekend, or settle in for a cozy and quiet retreat where you can fall asleep to the sound of waves.
Watch for dolphins, whales, sea birds, seals, and sailboats with unobstructed views from our huge deck and outdoor patio seating. The gas grill, patio furnishings, fire pit and garden make for great family entertaining and photo opportunities as you watch the sun set over the Pacific with friends. Wake up to the widest views the Pacific has in store for you.
Our home will be disinfected and cleaned following CDC guidelines prior to your stay, and we have contactless entry/exit.
Our fully furnished, fully equipped home has an open living/dining/kitchen plan featuring a dining table next to a fireplace, and a grand piano with cozy seating --all facing the ocean. Enjoy fast wireless internet with 1 Gigabit high speed, and Xfinity Cable with 200 channels in our living area. The chef's kitchen is built for family and friends, and comes with a Wolf gas range/double griddle/2 ovens, a huge kitchen island and counter-space, and includes a Breville Oracle barista coffee maker, kettle, new microwave, and toaster oven as well as a Thermomix, Caffe dishwasher, several appliances and all pantry and amenities. The in-house H3 washer/dryer adds convenience, as does ample free & safe street parking. We include all furnishings, linens, towels, toiletries, kitchen needs, utilities, garden care, electric vehicle charging and Gigabit wireless internet.
Our seaside home is in a friendly, private neighborhood and ready for your family holiday, girls’ getaway, or couple's retreat. Find sandy beaches, surfing, pier fishing and pleasant walking courses right out the door, as well as grocery and organic markets and a few tasty local cafes and eateries. We are on the sea but surrounded by Golden Gate and State Parks (Mori Point, San Pedro Valley, Sweeney Ridge) for walking/hiking and mountain biking, and are one mile from the Sharp Park 18-hole public golf course.
This home has easy access to Highway 1 and is 12 min to SFO airport, 12 min to downtown SF on I280, 40 minutes by BART or car to Berkeley, and is 30 minutes to Stanford, Sand Hill, or 35 minutes to Cupertino.

For a small family outing (4 adults) it was fantastic. We enjoyed the absolutely stunning views and saw many marine animals (seals, dolphins and many humpback whales). Great area for dining, hanging out or heavy game of hearts. Home loaded with many nice options to make it a very comfortable stay.would highly recommend.

This home was perfect for our family’s visit to SF. It was very clean and well-equipped with ample cookware, dishes, spices, oils, etc. for preparing meals. The living area felt cozy but spacious, and we had a great time tinkering on the piano and playing some of the many available games. The hosts were great to communicate with and checked in to make sure our stay was going well. Pacifica itself is a quiet, sleepy town which provided a nice reprieve from the hubbub of SF. We enjoyed grabbing a coffee at Cafe Pacifica and strolling the promenade along the beach. Nearby Mori Point was an easy hike and worth a visit. We were immensely lucky that a large group of humpback whales were hanging in the waters of Pacifica during our stay. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience watching whales from sunup to sundown, often just a couple hundred yards from our back window. Everything we planned to do was an easy drive from Pacifica, including Muir Woods, SF, San Jose, and Santa Cruz, so it worked very nicely from a logistics perspective. When touring the area, be sure to dress in layers and be prepared for a wide range of temps. SF has microclimates so you may need anything from coat/hat/gloves to shorts and a tank top depending on the day/hour/location.

We had the most amazing stay at this property; everything we needed was provided and you just can't beat the views and sounds of the ocean. We had all kinds of plans while we were in the area but some of our most cherished memories are of just being at the property, playing games, and relaxing.

We heard the gorgeous sound of the waves all the time and seagulls floated by our windows. Very quiet and serene. Open Kitchen/livingroom gave an expansive and homey feel. Matress in master is firm and fantastic. Bathrooms were a bit small but practical. The hosts were extremely responsive with integrity. We spend a lot of time exploring Half Moon Bay which is a 10 minute drive from Pacifica.

Anyone with a special needs family member understands how difficult any vacation is to plan or navigate. Well, our little famnily of 3 including our child had the most peaceful relaxing anf luxurious stay in this home. Perfect does not capture how we feel and how WONDERFUL the owners are. We were most pleased with our stay at Ocean-Front Home. The house is clean, our stay was comfortable, the Pacific Ocean is literally the backyard, and the city is in close proximity.
The kitchen and house are well stocked with most everything anyone could need for a “Home Away from Home”. Tom and Cathy are the ABSOLUTE best hosts.
If we return to Pacifica/SF, we will definitely choose this property again if available. We highly recommend Ocean-Front Home!

The property hosts have thought of EVERYTHING that makes a lovely beach stay. Cords everywhere for charging our devices, motion-sensitive night lights to keep us safe, abundant kitchen supplies for those who resemble a chef more than I do, drawers and cupboards full of spices and condiments, even guitars and ukuleles come along with the grand piano! The Abels are very generous people, allowing us to use all of this. The home was clean; there was a binder of instructions to make everything usable. Of course, the most important part was the view of the Pacific, and pelicans, and the pier! Lovely location!

We enjoyed a wonderful, tranquil week spending time together with my 98yr old mother. Every morning was spent enjoying coffee and tea and looking out the scenic windows for whales and finally on the last day, rewarded with one, spouting in the distance-just magnificent!
The home is small but with great open design, definitely met our needs for 3 adults and visitors. Kitchen was very user friendly and well equipped, the large dining table and kitchen counter area was great, living room seating was comfortable to view the large tv and the outdoor area overlooking the Pacific was fantastic! The owners were in constant communication during our stay and were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Everything about this rental is accurate as described and did not disappoint.
It is truly an A+ rental and I would not hesitate to rent again.

We spent a beautiful Christmas in this gorgeous home with all the creature comforts and stunning view! Cathy and Tom were lovely to check in on us when the weather turned and the waves soared. Despite the record setting weather, we enjoyed every second, we used the chef's kitchen to have a lovely Christmas dinner and enjoyed playing Christmas tunes on the piano as the tremendous waves came in. Our recent stay at Cathy & Tom’s vacation home was nothing short of extraordinary. Every inch of the interior has been renovated to perfection. The property exudes sophistication with meticulously chosen furnishings, creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is a culinary haven.
Located on one of the most spectacular sections of pacific coast, the property offers an unparalleled experience with curling waves crashing against rocks just beyond the windows or right next to you on the beautiful back deck.
Cathy & Tom were responsive, welcoming and friendly. This was a truly wonderful and worry-free experience.

This house had everything you could possibly ask for. The kitchen had so many appliances. We had fun learning how to use the wonderful Breville espresso machine. It has a built-in tutorial that is hands-on that really taught us how to use it
The deck on the ocean is much closer than it looks in the pictures The hosts were lovely, personable and helpful. The place was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, multiple charging cords were provided, and the view was amazing!
This house is dog friendly, with a fenced-in yard There is lots to do in Pacifica and the neighboring cities. A short drive to Golden Gate Park, Half Moon Bay, and everything in between. So many good beaches for the dog too! We will definitely be back!!

It is a wonderful surprise to enter a rental property and have it surpass expectations. We felt fully welcomed into someone’s home. For the style of two bedroom ranch home sitting right above the crashing waves of the pacific, this place is beautifully and practically appointed. The kitchen is spectacular. If you love to cook even while vacationing, this is the place. The hosts are welcoming, accessible and make it clear they want you to feel like like family.

Great family getaway. Home is very clean & thoughtfully stocked. Perfect to cook for full family while watching the whales, dolphins, sea birds and even a lone seal through the amazing front window. Owners are very responsive. Safe neighborhood in reach of the city.

Great location. Quiet and peaceful. Easy drive into SF and half Moon Bay. Came from the Sierras and the drive was as easy as I could have expected. Hosts were gracious and we will come back again to stay. Recommend highly.

This house is so incredible! The view, the interior, the kitchen…don’t hesitate to stay here! Pacifica is a cute beach town and it’s so close to SF. It’s a great location for checking out lots of beautiful local beaches, going into the city and even heading north to see some redwoods. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. Cathy is a wonderful host and I hope to stay here again soon.

As a person obsessed with the ocean, this house was the best ocean view I have ever had. Spent a lot of time on the deck with binoculars, just watching the ocean, great, hiking trail to the cliffs past the pier and used the house as a base to visit Miramar Beach, Fort Funston and Half Moon Bay for a really great, relaxing, peaceful vacation. Lots of great places to eat, but we looked forward each day to coming back to just enjoy the views. The owners had everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect. They went above and beyond the usual rental expectations.

This house is definitely worth it!!! The view was FANTASTIC!! The VRBO pictures do not do it justice. Anyone that books this home will NOT regret it.
Check in & out was very simple & easy and the owners were very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. Do yourself a favor if you are planning on visiting San Francisco/Pacifica area and book this venue!!

From the moment we stepped into this beautiful home, we knew this would be the trip of a lifetime. The attention to detail was top notch. Everything you could possibly need was available to us; cosy extra blankets, high end cookware, appliances, lawn furniture etc. This may not be typical, but we saw whales every day of our visit. Even without the wildlife, the view was spectacular. Our family spent quite a bit of time just watching the waves roll in. The location of the property couldn’t be more convenient. We were twenty minutes from the city and airport ,five minutes from local stores, but it felt like you were a day’s journey away from everything. Cathy’s communication was excellent from day one. Instructions and local recommendations were very clear. Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to get back.

I don't know what else I can say other than to repeat what all other reviewers have said because they were all right!! When I opened the front door and saw the view, I turned around and told my family, "You're not going to want to leave." And we didn't. Breathtaking doesn't begin to describe this location. We were gifted with multiple days of sunshine and couldn't be outside enough. We saw so many whale spouts and even a sea lion playing in the water. It was wonderful. The living space is so roomy and comfortable. And completely stocked with every supply you could need. My daughter enjoyed using the yoga mats to do yoga in the living room while staring out at the ocean. This was the perfect getaway for our family of 3. Falling asleep listening to the ocean (and lying in bed LOOKING at the ocean) cannot be beat. Especially after enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. The hosts were fantastic with all of their communication; couldn't have asked for anything better. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. We were all very sad to leave!!

This was our second stay at this amazing property and we were no less impressed than we were the first time (a mere ten months ago!) As always, Cathy's communication was helpful and prompt and the kitchen and associated supplies are above and far beyond other properties at which we've stayed in the past. The sound of the waves and ease of access to San Francisco makes a stay here absolute perfection.

Our first day we saw a pod of orcas! And it only got better from there. This home has so many convenient guest gadgets and fully stocked kitchen it was difficult getting my husband to go out for dinner. You will love this place if you enjoy cooking. After dinner you step outside and listen to the waves crashing below. The linens and amenities were exceptional. The beds were a bit firm for my preference. But we truly enjoyed our stay here. You will too.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the quaint town of Pacifica! Falling asleep nightly to ocean waves was wonderful! Beautiful views and a lovely home. The house was perfect for my 16 year old son, husband and I. It had everything we needed and more. Cathy & Tom provided an unexpected 'welcome gift' of wine and chocolate .
Location was great for our excursions to San Francisco, wine country & Pacific Hwy 1 drive.

This is property is wonderful! Its located in a quiet, safe neighborhood; the backyard overlooks a gorgeous panorama of the ocean with the peaceful sounds of waves will lull you to sleep. The house is immaculate, & kitchen is a cooks dream- appliances to spices. The TV living room area is inviting (with piano!). Altho everything needed is there, its walking distance to local cuisines, bakery/coffee shop, fun pub, pier, shopping, & quaint little town. The owners are exceptional- they have tried to think of EVERYTHING, & it matters to them that your stay is enjoyable ("Welcome binder" is full suggestions of things to explore & maps/guides available) They are cordial hosts & quick to respond if any ?'s. Every time we visit his property we feel renewed & know we have found a true paradise- our slice of HEAVEN.

An absolutely wonderful property, great location, we enjoyed everything the city had to offer, short trips to San Francisco, easy walkable town, can even rent electric bike just down the street from the house , private backyard with a fire pit that we had going almost every night. The Perfect Get Away
This house is well furnished and located in the perfect spot for getting away. You can walk along the beach to the pier and up to Mori Pt. with a view of the coast or you can walk to many delicious restaurants.
It is an easy drive into San Francisco with all that it has to offer or you can drive into the majestic Redwood Forests.
Or you can just hang at the comfortable house. One day we spent 30 mins watching a whale breach and spy hop.

Hearing the waves while falling asleep - unbelievable
We had an amazing time in Pacifica. The hosts went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would visit again and again, to sit out on the deck overlooking the ocean and to run on the path along the ocean in the early morning. The kitchen had everything anyone could ever need. It was so nice to come back to the house after a long day of touring SF, to sit out by the ocean with a drink and then play games with the kids and feast on amazing Thai food at Pacifica Thai, followed by Netflix and falling asleep with the sound of the crashing waves. It was heaven!

West coast home away from home
This was our first time renting on Vrbo and the owners made us feel very welcome! They also responded to our questions about the house and getting around San Francisco timely. The views are amazing. It’s easy to get there from SFO Airport. The kitchen is fully stocked from a coffee grinder which we used to spices you need. If you are looking for a great place to stay in a safe neighborhood for your visit to the Bay Area, this is the place for you.

It was perfect for our family of 5. Super comfortable and can’t beat the view of the Pacific Ocean in the back. Quiet neighborhood. Breathtaking
We spent a gorgeous week at this amazing home. The view from the backyard is absolutely breathtaking and the cozy home is brilliantly laid out with every possible kitchen luxury for which you could wish. Beautiful Property with Amazing View!
A small group of friends stayed at this home for a weekend in October and it was beautiful! The views of the ocean from the home are amazing and the property managers made the check-in and check-out very easy. Could not recommend this property more.

Wonderful Stay
This is perfect family home. We stayed with our 2 and 5 year old and could not be a better family home. When you walk thru the front door, you enter your own little paradise. Great views and right on the ocean. The house is perfectly done with great kitchen, living room, and kids toys that will keep your kids entertained for days. We used the outdoor fire pit every night for s’mores. Really close to the city and super close drive to the zoo. The surfing beach down the highway was great. We would certainly come back with our kids.

This is a modernized older building with the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen. Giant TV, giant picture window looking directly at ocean waves. Very open floor plan. Easy parking.
