About this house rental
You found it! A large 1,100 square foot, two bedroom, nicely upgraded beachside vacation rental that can sleep up to 8 guests and is fully stocked. The Beach Lane Hale (pronounced 'Ha-Lay') is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful beach and visit Oahu's attractions. It's located on the southern border of Laie, on Oahu's northeast shore so the waves don't get so big that you can't swim which sometimes happens on the North Shore during the winter months.
The entire rental is fully air conditioned, not just the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have comfortable king-size beds and HD TV's. Two full size futon couches in the living room make room for four more guests or children.
The very large kitchen is a wonderful place to prepare meals or barbecue outside and enjoy the large covered lanai and fully-fenced yard. A dishwasher makes clean up easy.
Walk past a few houses to the end of the lane and you'll find a path right to the beach (this is a legal access about 100 yards from the house). This is a pristine, uncrowded, sandy, almost a mile long stretch of beach. The beach park with restrooms and showers are close making spending hours at the beach a breeze.
Nearby are shopping centers, restaurants, the LDS Temple, Polynesian Cultural Center and BYU. Kualoa Ranch, where several movies and tv shows have been filmed, including Mighty Joe Young, Jurassic Park, Wind Talkers, Jumanji, Hawaii 5-O, Magnum PI, Pearl Harbor, Kong-Skull Island and more is just 15 minutes away and offers horseback riding, ATV tours and other fun. World-famous North Shore surf spots are just 20 minutes away.

We stayed in this home as a family with my 3 boys, myself, and my mother. With the fold out beds in the living room, there was enough room for everyone to sleep. The air conditioning was a great touch, and the yard outside was fantastic. We loved eating our meals outside, and the kids loved lounging in the hammock chair. We had a few issues like the oven not working for our Easter dinner, the toilet not filling so that it could flush, and the bathroom sink not draining, but all issues were addressed as promptly as possible and very professionally. Would highly recommend this home.

Perfect location for us! The house was clean and perfect for our family. So close to the beach, which was beautiful!

We loved our stay here. The host made every effort to correct some issues. Great for a family with the quietest beach so close with provided toys, towels and chairs. However, the upstairs unit is so loud, not their fault just didn’t realize how loud having people upstairs would be and hard to sleep. Overall it was a great 8 days close to all the activities to play and chill in north shore. Thank you for our stay !

The property was easy access by car to all North Shore has to offer. Beach access was private. Our son has lived in Mililani for a year. He was able to direct us to all the places we shouldn't miss. Amazing!!

This house was fabulous! It has everything you need and it’s location is fabulous. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach. You have a short drive to Laie where there is Foodland to buy groceries and fun places to eat or you can continue a little further to Kahuku where you have many delicious food trucks to choose from.
We eat a lot at the house. There is a BBQ out on the back porch. There is a nice stove top and oven as well.
The house itself was clean. Each room has its own AC unit. The beds were super comfortable. It could use some new pillows.
You can pack light as you have access to a washer and dryer out on the back porch.
There are boogie boards, coolers and beach chairs available.
We would definitely stay here again.

The property was great. It was clean, well kept and stocked. The beach is nice and access is easy. The neighborhood cats kept my daughter busy and entrained. The wifi was good and fast. The house had lots of snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers. The really only negative was the busy road noise. The property is directly located on the road and VERY noisy. The house was well equipped with ductless A/C in both bedrooms and living room and kitchen/dining area, so with the windows closed the noise wasn't that bad. The water heater was also on a timer that shut off at 10:30am (ish) and back on at 3pm or so, which was challenging at times. We enjoyed our time at this house and basically used it as a sleeping place as we visited family nearby.

Fantastic property!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The property was perfect for our family of 4 (although it could easily accommodate several more people). The large kitchen was amazing, the bedrooms were spacious, everything was very clean and well stocked. We loved the outdoor space and the quick walk to the beach. With the windows closed and A/C on the road noise was not an issue. We very much appreciated the location of this home and the quick access to so many of the sites we wanted to see. We'd definitely stay here again!

The perfect place
We loved staying on this property. Our family enjoyed the close by beach and the location. The yard was beautiful and it had all the amenities we could want from beach supplies to aloe to all the kitchen needs. Thank you so much!!

Family celebration
We loved the location. Just a brief walk to the beach. The place was plenty big for our family of 5. Lives the spacious kitchen. Our only complaint was the shared walls with the upstairs guests. I read in the reviews but wasn’t fully prepared for the noise. We solved it by using a white noise at night to sleep.

Hawaii get away
For the most part everything was great. I had no idea that someone would be above us in this house and they were noisy people. At 2 in the morning they would be talking and woke my wife and up, they were loud going up and down the stair.
We could even smell the cigarette smoke coming in the house at the kitchen when they were smoking outside.

Great house
All pictures are true minus the turtle. This place was great, not even a block to the beach. You do have to wait until low tide and then it's perfect. We had a issue with the wifi not working and it took hours to get a reply, we had no internet for 4 days. Which I didn't rent it for the wifi but did need it for work so had to drive to mcds. We left a whole lot of food, beach stuff and blow up bed for the next renters. Make sure to remember on the windward side that there is really no service or internet and the wifi seems to go out a lot. Also the top of the duplex is another space and it can get pretty loud depending who's up there. But don't get me twisted- it was AMAZING, WIFI was not part of what I was looking for in a rental

Very nice stay. Close to ocean within walking distance like described in post. Close to grocery store and other shopping places. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect place for families.

Relaxing Family getaway
great layout of living areas, LOVE the kitchen window above the sink & the large bar area, lots of Hawaii beauty coming in that window, large dining area to play family games, we haven't laughed together like that in so long, such a comfortable place, Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

North Shore Stay
The property was very clean, well-stocked for cooking and plenty of towels for bathing and beach, comfortable beds. Only thing was TV's in Master didn't work, and living room had some system on it, that would not allow change to any regular stations, would be helpful to have instructions on usage. Was unfortunate that we ended up with VERY wet weather so limited our explorations, and doing some things we had wanted, but home was very comfortable and close to beach.

This home suited our needs perfectly! It was the perfect size & had the right amenities that we wanted/needed. The close access to the school & the private access to the beach were amazing!!

Amazing!
We lived this property. Beautiful yard with a covered patio with patio furniture. The air conditioners worked wonders and were a nice retreat from the heat of Hawaii. Kitchen is huge and has everything anyone could ask for to make it feel like home. Outside shower is so nice to get the sand off to reduce how much we trekked inside. The beach at the end of the lane is beautiful and easy to access. The rocks at the beach can be slippery, so be careful. (We didn't slip, but observed someone else and it looked painful) . The beach is mainly, largely sandy. The washer and dryer are big and heavy duty machines. Beds were comfortable. .. only good things about our stay here.

The home was amazing
The house was clean. Lots of great amenities and walking distance to local good kind food!! Lots of beaches on the road the house was connected to. All amenities worked great and even the other renters were cool. Family of 8 had to plan ahead with only one bathroom but other than that it was a great place and I want to go back soon and will probably stay there.

Great spot!
This was a great little house and bungalow situated in a great neighborhood. Easy access, beautiful area, great beach access! Neighbors were great. Very close to stores, gas stations, and eateries. Also, the beach access had some of the best snorkeling on the North Shore.

Great property
This place was great. We stayed in Waikiki last time we visited Hawaii. It is so busy that we wanted a different experience. Location was perfect. Very short distance to great food (Pennys malasadas, north shore taco, Papa Ole) in the parking lot about a block away. There is a Longs and grocery store in the same market. PCCC is just up the road probably less than a quarter mile and has plenty to do there. Beach access is great. Neighbors seem very friendly. Seems like there is a rental upstairs and maybe a little studio apartment on the same property but we only saw the upstairs resident like twice. There was also a cat who likes to crawl under the side gate and sit out by the steps. It was no bother. The rest of the block seemed pleasant and were friendly as we walked to the beach. Beach has a fair amount of reef and not busy at all so there are a lot of places to swim and play in the water. Seemed to be a spot that locals visited and we loved it in the mornings and evenings. Little drive gets you to several food trucks and an awesome bakery (Ted’s). House has a great Lanai and outdoor shower. There must be a tankless hot water heater bc 7 of us showered and did laundry and there was plenty of hot water for all of us. Kitchen was well stocked. AC and Wi-Fi were so nice to have. Had a cooler we used at the beach. One of the best things about the check out process was the fact that you can leave unopened food. I hate having to throw away a few bottles of water or cans of soda or that carton of eggs you bought thinking you were going to cook breakfast. I was nervous about getting our van in the parking space but fit perfectly. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the other spots in Hawaii this place is for you. There are some reviews about the highway being loud, our youngest sleeps with a sound machine and that was enough for our whole family to sleep just fine. I am a terrible sleeper (shift worker) and I managed just fine. Only area for improvement I could see would be pillows. I could not find any for the fouton sleepers (I did not ask and we managed just fine) and the ones for the bed seemed a little flat. Again not complaining and probably could have been fixed easily but if someone reads this terribly long review and has to have a specific type of pillow prob should pack it or buy one once you get here.

Perfect stay. Clean. Great beach.
Our family had a great time at this property. It was in a cute little quiet neighborhood and the beach was right there. The beach was probably our favorite part because it was a quiet beach with great swimming for the whole family. The unit had everything we needed and more. Grocery store was walking distance. There was a busy road with some road noise when we where outside, but it was not bad. The property owner was wonderful and had great communication with us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We had a great experience. I would recommend this place for someone or a family who wants to experience Hawaii without craziness of the city.

Restful week at the beach!
Great stay - did not realize we were sharing a house but it was OK once we saw separation - even though very noisy upstairs activity.
We were looking for peaceful week away from hustle and bustle, the inside spacious house and outside yard and covered area, and close beach satisfied our every needs. Great house and immediate responses from Greg for any needs and communication.

Great Home!
Great home- love the large kitchen and outdoor space. Very clean and excellent communication with Greg.. Very quiet street- this is a corner property on the Kam Hwy, so there is some traffic noise. This did not bother us at all. Great having the grocery store close and the beach is a beautiful location. This is the bottom floor of a 2 story home- with a rental on the top floor. I was not aware of this. Overall wonderful home and would stay there again!!! Thank you for sharing your home! Friendly neighborhood too!

Great home away from home
We loved how much at home we felt while staying at the Hale! It was great how close the beach was, and the house had everything we needed. The AC was a huge plus and the fence made it feel private and cozy in the yard. It was great how close we were to the Polynesian Cultural Center as well. Greg was great to work with and was quick to respond, which made vacation less stressful!

Great vacation rental for our family
This was our first family trip to Hawaii and we loved it. We really enjoyed the beach access and location. The rental is right next to a busy highway but we weren't at all bothered by the noise. There are AC units in each room and a well-stocked kitchen. It would have been nice to have another bathroom, but we got by fine with one. Also, I would suggest adding a latch lock go the master bedroom. Overall it's a great rental, Greg was helpful and communicated well, and we'd be happy to visit again.

Proximity to a swimmable & walkable beach, NO road to cross
Not sure if "swimmable" or "walkable" are real words, but this property is very close to a very long beach that you can easily walk on or swim. The house is clean, no bugs, great WiFi, great AC and the owner is responsive. Would definitely stay again. Not having to cross the highway to get to the beach is a huge plus.

Better Second Time Around
This was our second stay at this property. Clean, comfortable and so convenient to the beach. Absolutely the perfect place for a relaxing, worry-free vacation Papa Ole's an absolute must for authentic Hawaiian food at extremely reasonable prices. Shopping Center in Laie less than five minutes away. Green building just North of town for Cackle Fresh Eggs and Mike's absolutely fresh and reasonable priced seafood.
Greg is very responsive and informative and adds to your having a worry-free vacation.
This is our only choice when planning our next trip to Hawaii - Hauula PERFECT - outstanding house just a short block to the beach.

Family vacation
We had a great time staying here. In my opinion the north shore is the best place on Oahu. The house was nice just as described in the details. The house is close to a very beautiful beach that wasn’t busy like other beaches that aren’t even close to the beauty of this one. The house was clean. The yard was beautiful. The Ac was nice. The kitchen large. The backyard dinning are perfect for the kids to play board games. The laundry was a luxury. The gate was nice to keep the kids in the yard. The road was noisy, but I had seen that in other reviews, so expected. House could use a Little extra bedding. Hey nothings perfect. We would stay again! Thanks Greg!

Lovely home, beautiful beach
We loved staying here this week— great access to beautiful beaches (including the private access beach at the end of the lane). Convenient grocery store right near by. The a/c was nice to have as an option, but we never really needed them. Having the washer and dryer were GREAT. The road noise was significant, and that sort of thing doesn’t usually bother me— but it was enough that we couldn’t keep doors or windows open. Greg was very responsive any time we had a question. Overall a great place to stay!
