Nestled at the edge of the Provincial Park and with easy access to the renowned Rathtrevor beach, Tide's Reach cabin is the ideal setting for a luxury break, family getaway, or romantic weekend.

Reconnect with nature as you unwind in the peaceful comfort of the well-lit open concept living area with its vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and cosy corner fireplace.

Relax on the quiet, private patio and enjoy the tranquil forest view while you test out the natural gas barbeque and keep an eye out for the resident deer.

Take a morning stroll along the expansive low-tide sands of Rathtrevor Beach to comb the shore for sand dollars, enjoy a midday summer swim in the warm shallows, or roast marshmallows at dusk around one of the fire pits. A collapsible wagon is available for our guests.

Equipped with your comfort and convenience in mind, our well-appointed 1108 sq.ft cabin offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living area, as well as a professionally landscaped private patio and outdoor space.

In the queen-sized, south facing master bedroom, you will find not only an ensuite soaker tub but also a glass enclosed shower. The second bathroom also features a glass enclosed shower and heated floors. A second bedroom, also south facing, features a queen bed.

The deluxe kitchen features granite countertops and full size stainless steel appliances including a gas top range, electric oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen island seats 3 and the dining area seats 6 with table settings for 8. A full range of spices is provided.

In suite laundry is available with detergents provided for your use.

Password protected WIFI and cable is included.

Bonfires are permitted in designated areas.

One designated parking spot is available directly at the front of the cabin with additional guest parking available just across the street.

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay here and would happily return one day. The beds were comfortable with spare linens available, the reclining couch was a hit and the bathtub exceptional. The place is in great condition and a short walk from the beach. We enjoyed the bbq and walks, as well as nearby mini golf. Even though the weather was a bit mixed, we had a great vacation because this place was so lovely.

The cabin was as advertised and very clean. Super short walk to the beach with a wagon. The kids liked the yard. In the house you'll just be moving a couple of breakable items up high for under 3's and you're set. The host responds to messages within hours every time and has a good knowledge of local activities to try out. The bedrooms basically do not heat up at all, even in the height of summer, because of the forest shade.

We had a lovely visit with our son who is two and my in laws. There were helpful little touches to the place, like a high chair, a toilet seat for potty training and three little step stools for my son to reach the taps/sink. The deck had an outdoor bin full of beach toys, bubbles and two camping chairs. The wagon came in handy to get us and my toddler to and from the beach. We had everything we needed and Monica was always helpful via messaging if needed.

This was our second time staying at the Tanglewood complex, we enjoy it as all of the units are on a quiet lane tucked in the forest and very close to the beach. No through traffic, overall quiet spot and great for the kids to roller skate or scooter around. Close to shopping and mini golf and nearby parks and trails. Some scheduled strata maintenance was unfortunately underway during our stay- and the generator was hooked up to our unit, pressure washing through the day was intrusive. The unit was small yet cozy and provided just enough space for our family of 4. We unfortunately could not work the fireplace and the BBQ needed some heavy cleaning before use.

Monica was a stellar host and amazing at communicating before and after our stay. She made sure we were situated and ensured we had everything we needed. The location of this property is great for families and the access to the private beach was a highlight! My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is clean, modern and quiet, with a very well equipped kitchen and BBQ, and a great air conditioning unit that was particularly appreciated given our summer stay. The property is a short walk from the beach, and we preferred the location to being closer to beachside in the area because it is more quiet, while being accessible to the waterfront. Our host communicated kindly, professionally, and was very responsive to questions, attending to some specific questions/accommodations relating to arrival and departure given the fact that I was traveling with older parents. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this property.

Excellent location close to a wonderful park and beach area. Great spot as a home base to explore. Resort like feel close to some great ice cream at the general store. Condo is built in a beautiful forest, very quiet and peaceful. Did day trip to Tofino, Ucluelet and outings to all the beautiful and quaint towns up the Coast Qualicum Beach, up to Courtenay and Comox. Really happy with accomodations at the condo and the well thought out supplies that were provided. Would visit again!

We had a great stay at this townhome! It was a birthday trip for 4 friends and the location was nice and quiet which is just want we wanted. The home had everything we needed and we were able to quickly get to the grotto at Tighnamara and to the beach which was what our weekend consisted of. It was also stocked with things you may need like salt and pepper, great coffee, and corkscrew etc etc. The oven wasn’t working which the owners were quick to inform us of a day or so beforehand as they had obviously just found out and so didn’t have time to have someone out before our stay to fix it, but we ended up eating out the entire time anyways so it was ok. Lots of extra sheets and bedding which was great. The beds are queen beds so a little small if you’re coming just with friends. A pullout would have been great (it looks like from the photos as well as the welcome book that there USED to be a pullout but there isn’t one any longer) however the actual write up on VRBO did not promise a pullout so we weren’t expecting one. it’s just something that would have been nice so we could stretch out a bit more. Regardless we would absolutely recommend and stay again!

We really enjoyed our short stay at Huw and Emma’s place! A short walk to the beach with a handy wagon and foldable chairs to set up on the beach. Had fun watching the little crabs in the tide pools and finding sand dollars as the tide went out. Great getaway from the city!

We stayed for a four day weekend and enjoyed every moment. The high ceilings and open concept made the cottage feel much larger than it probably was. More than enough room for the two of us and a very convenient floor plan. The property is in a very quiet setting and is easy to access. It was well appointed; basically bring your food and clothes. A short walk down to an expansive beach and steps away from Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf. We would not hesitate staying at a Tanglewood property in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a great stay at Tide's reach cabin. It was a good central location for leisurely cycling along the back roads to Nanoose Bay, in Rathtrevor Park & neighbourhood and along the off road trail to Coombes. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was also quiet and private which was a nice bonus given the location within the resort zone of Parksville. We would be happy to recommend it to our friends and family of all ages.

This is probably our 3rd time here. We absolutely love the place and the setting....the back yard backs on to Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park....just minutes walking from their place is the ocean. The place is well laid out too, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

We had a great stay! We loved the access to the beach - great walks and beach combing. Also within walking distance (or short bike ride) to other Parksville Resorts (Tigh Na Mara, Oceanside, etc.) to access restaurants and other services. Our only issue was that it was very hot in the unit and there was only 1 fan available for our use, which made for a few nights of uncomfortable sleeping.
