About this house rental
Warm and inviting ski home located in the heart of Ludlow - walk to restaurants and shops in town and then retire to our home nestled on a quiet, private road with stunning views of Okemo mountain. Our home is 1.5 miles from Okemo mountain and 3 miles from Jackson Gore. A lovingly maintained home that is updated and stocked with all the amenities you will need during your stay. Hit the slopes during the day and then relax by the soapstone gas stove and enjoy the stellar views of the mountain you were just on! Plan your trip around an Okemo mountain torchlight parade and/or fireworks display and enjoy them all from the comfort of the living room or from the back deck! The homeowners fell in love with this charming home and its views of Okemo mountain and know you will, too!

My family and family friends stayed here for a ski trip to Okemo. The house was great and comfortably accommodated all 9 of us (4 adults, 5 kids from 9-14).
The primary bedroom and the room with the trundle are connected, which worked for our group. The view of the mountain from the house was a 10!
We have some food allergies and so cooked in for the majority of our meals. While the stove was dated, it got the job done and we loved eating together at the big table and grilled when possible! The kitchen was well equipped, and I’d recommend bringing dish towels in addition to bath linens if you plan to cook. Otherwise, we had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked.
We had a great time at Okemo and at this home and hope to return again in future vacations.

You can't do better for this price to ski at Okemo! The house is in a great location and comfortably fit our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. There are not a ton of amenities provided but as long as you know that going in, it's no problem. As other renters mentioned, you have to bring your own towels, and I would recommend bringing toilet paper. But the kitchen has pretty much everything you would need. The view is also beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

We went up for New Year’s Eve and had an amazing time. Slept four adults and four kids without a problem. The property was clean and well maintained. Easy access to town and the mountain. The view of the mountain is absolutely unbeatable. Great morning look at the conditions. We are very happy,

Weekend Trip to Okemo!
Our stay was great! The house was beautiful and spacious, with great views of Okemo! It was only about a 5 minute ride to the mountain and the town, which was perfect! We enjoyed our time at the house and the hosts, John & Megan were kind and easy to communicate with!

The kids loved their bedroom with the trundle bed. One thing to note is that you need to walk through this bedroom to get to the master bedroom. The third upstairs bedroom is across the hall and the fourth is downstairs next to the kitchen.
We hope to be able to return for another Okemo trip sometime!

Overall we enjoyed our five days in this Vermont property. We used it as a home base for hikes in the area. As others have noted, this house has the most amazing views of Okemo. Each morning and evening we were mesmerized by the changing landscape as the sun rose or set, fog rolled in or mist filled the air. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen and living/dining room were nice. The gas fired soapstone stove kept the whole house cozy. Two other bedrooms are quite small and the third is a pass-through to the master bedroom. That worked well for us, but might be difficult if several couples were sharing the house.
When we first arrived, we discovered that no one had been there (possibly for several weeks) to check the property, so there were some issues— cobwebs at the front door and bathrooms that required us to get out the sanitizing wipes and other cleaning equipment to make it acceptable. We contacted the owner, and he regretted that the housekeeper hadn’t shown up. But by then we’d already done the essential cleaning. That was a problem we’ve never encountered in other rentals. Also, it turns out you have to bring your own blankets, quilt and towels which we learned after booking but luckily before leaving home. So we packed all of that. It’s good to know ahead of time in case that’s not something you typically expect in a rental. The house came with essentials (toilet paper, coffee filters, etc) but the owner won’t guarantee it. So you have to pack all of that as well.
On the positive side, the house is in a great location…so close to Ludlow that you can easily get what you need plus enjoy shops, restaurants etc, if that’s what you are looking for. We were looking for easy access to hiking and we found that in abundance. It was nice to come back to a great fire pit to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun slip away. Be sure to make plans to have some kindling, newspapers and matches to get that fire going. Don’t transport kindling from afar!
Overall the house was good for our purposes and we enjoyed our stay there. I’m fairly confident the glitches we faced are not typical.

The views are simply amazing. We loved sitting outside on the porch as much as possible. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but thankfully there are tons of games and movies. We had a great time experiencing Ludlow during the summer.

We had an amazing weekend getaway with our family! The photos don't even do this place justice! It's so relaxing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay! We enjoyed the deck overlooking Okemo Mountain, grilling and making s'mores at the fire pit! Highly recommend!

The living room has the largest picture window I have ever seen and the view is hubba hubba! This same view can be found in the master bedroom. The house comes equipped with pretty much everything you need. There were also a few spices and kitchen essentials which was very helpful. We also enjoyed the fire pit which was lovey for deep conversation and a glass of pinot noir. The owner was very responsive with any questions and concerns we had. Enjoy!

Amazing view and proximity to Okemo
Super cute, perfect for our group of 9 with large open room connected with kitchen. Huge living room window (and bedroom above) with an unobstructed view of Okemo. Not a ski in/out but otherwise short drive to mountain bases. Even on a weekend, parking and 300-400 yard walk or shuttle to base had us on the slopes within 15-20 minutes from walking out the door.
