Warm and inviting ski home located in the heart of Ludlow - walk to restaurants and shops in town and then retire to our home nestled on a quiet, private road with stunning views of Okemo mountain. Our home is 1.5 miles from Okemo mountain and 3 miles from Jackson Gore. A lovingly maintained home that is updated and stocked with all the amenities you will need during your stay. Hit the slopes during the day and then relax by the soapstone gas stove and enjoy the stellar views of the mountain you were just on! Plan your trip around an Okemo mountain torchlight parade and/or fireworks display and enjoy them all from the comfort of the living room or from the back deck! The homeowners fell in love with this charming home and its views of Okemo mountain and know you will, too!

My family and family friends stayed here for a ski trip to Okemo. The house was great and comfortably accommodated all 9 of us (4 adults, 5 kids from 9-14).
The primary bedroom and the room with the trundle are connected, which worked for our group. The view of the mountain from the house was a 10!
We have some food allergies and so cooked in for the majority of our meals. While the stove was dated, it got the job done and we loved eating together at the big table and grilled when possible! The kitchen was well equipped, and I’d recommend bringing dish towels in addition to bath linens if you plan to cook. Otherwise, we had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked.
We had a great time at Okemo and at this home and hope to return again in future vacations.

You can't do better for this price to ski at Okemo! The house is in a great location and comfortably fit our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. There are not a ton of amenities provided but as long as you know that going in, it's no problem. As other renters mentioned, you have to bring your own towels, and I would recommend bringing toilet paper. But the kitchen has pretty much everything you would need. The view is also beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Very comfortable, spacious, but also cozy rental
Great location on a quiet side street, up a hill looking down on the town of Ludlow valley with a view to the west as the sun goes down behind Okemo . Beds were comfortable. More blankets wouldn't hurt. If bedroom doors were shut heat was unavailable in some of the rooms.

Weekend Trip to Okemo!
Our stay was great! The house was beautiful and spacious, with great views of Okemo! It was only about a 5 minute ride to the mountain and the town, which was perfect! We enjoyed our time at the house and the hosts, John & Megan were kind and easy to communicate with!

Ski House with a great view
This house is a great home base for a ski weekend at Okemo Mountain. We enjoyed the open family room/ kitchen for hanging out apres ski and the great view of the mountain from the big windows. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The house is under two miles to the mountain and also right near the grocery store and restaurants.
The kids loved their bedroom with the trundle bed. One thing to note is that you need to walk through this bedroom to get to the master bedroom. The third upstairs bedroom is across the hall and the fourth is downstairs next to the kitchen.
We hope to be able to return for another Okemo trip sometime!

Family vacation
House was in a great location and had everything we needed. Traveled with my four adult children and there partners. We could not have asked for a better vacation! The one thing I will add is that two of the bedrooms are connected. Up stairs The large bedroom access is through the bedroom that sleeps four it was okay for us since it was my kids. The homeowners where wonderful and very quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great place near Ludlow Village
Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful property. The photos online definitely made the living space feel smaller than it was in reality. We really enjoyed the open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room. 5ish minutes from Okemo so you can easily get there for the first chair.

Spectacular views, great fire pit but…
Overall we enjoyed our five days in this Vermont property. We used it as a home base for hikes in the area. As others have noted, this house has the most amazing views of Okemo. Each morning and evening we were mesmerized by the changing landscape as the sun rose or set, fog rolled in or mist filled the air. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen and living/dining room were nice. The gas fired soapstone stove kept the whole house cozy. Two other bedrooms are quite small and the third is a pass-through to the master bedroom. That worked well for us, but might be difficult if several couples were sharing the house.
When we first arrived, we discovered that no one had been there (possibly for several weeks) to check the property, so there were some issues— cobwebs at the front door and bathrooms that required us to get out the sanitizing wipes and other cleaning equipment to make it acceptable. We contacted the owner, and he regretted that the housekeeper hadn’t shown up. But by then we’d already done the essential cleaning. That was a problem we’ve never encountered in other rentals. Also, it turns out you have to bring your own blankets, quilt and towels which we learned after booking but luckily before leaving home. So we packed all of that. It’s good to know ahead of time in case that’s not something you typically expect in a rental. The house came with essentials (toilet paper, coffee filters, etc) but the owner won’t guarantee it. So you have to pack all of that as well.
On the positive side, the house is in a great location…so close to Ludlow that you can easily get what you need plus enjoy shops, restaurants etc, if that’s what you are looking for. We were looking for easy access to hiking and we found that in abundance. It was nice to come back to a great fire pit to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun slip away. Be sure to make plans to have some kindling, newspapers and matches to get that fire going. Don’t transport kindling from afar!
Overall the house was good for our purposes and we enjoyed our stay there. I’m fairly confident the glitches we faced are not typical.

Summer getaway
The views are simply amazing. We loved sitting outside on the porch as much as possible. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but thankfully there are tons of games and movies. We had a great time experiencing Ludlow during the summer.

Gorgeous View
We had an amazing weekend getaway with our family! The photos don't even do this place justice! It's so relaxing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay! We enjoyed the deck overlooking Okemo Mountain, grilling and making s'mores at the fire pit! Highly recommend!

Cutest coziest ski get away!
This place was perfect and everything we needed for a few days to get away with our family and friends. We had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 6 -13) to ski for a few days at Okemo. The place was great, owner was responsive and helpful and you can’t beat the view!

Mountain View (ooo la la)
This is a very functional adorable house in "the woods". We stayed during the summer and with the trees all filled in you can not see the neighbors. You can hear a bit of traffic with the nearby main road, but it is not particularly bothersome. The show stopper for this house is the mountain view. The living room has the largest picture window I have ever seen and the view is hubba hubba! This same view can be found in the master bedroom. The house comes equipped with pretty much everything you need. There were also a few spices and kitchen essentials which was very helpful. We also enjoyed the fire pit which was lovey for deep conversation and a glass of pinot noir. The owner was very responsive with any questions and concerns we had. Enjoy!

Amazing view and proximity to Okemo
Super cute, perfect for our group of 9 with large open room connected with kitchen. Huge living room window (and bedroom above) with an unobstructed view of Okemo. Not a ski in/out but otherwise short drive to mountain bases. Even on a weekend, parking and 300-400 yard walk or shuttle to base had us on the slopes within 15-20 minutes from walking out the door.

Great place!
Lots of space, clean and cozy home with all the amenities and just a few minutes to Okemo. Would definitely stay here again! Owners were very responsive when we had questions. The place is nicer than it looks in the photos,! One thing to note - one of the bedrooms (the one with all the twin beds) is right outside the door to the master bedroom - meaning, you have to pass through it to get to the master. That worked fine for us since we had kids/teens sleeping there but it wouldn't work well if it was adults.

Great location with awesome views of Okemo mountain.
We stayed here with some friends and our children (4 adults and 4 children) for our ski weekend. This ski home was a great place to stay with plenty of room for everyone. The main floor has on open floorplan that was great for everyone to hang out, relax, and watch the Superbowl. The location is very easy to get to and only about 5 minutes to Okemo and about 30 minutes to Killington. The owners replied promptly with all communication and were great to deal with. We will definitely consider this house again in the future.

It couldn't have been more picturesque, sitting in this quaint and spotless cottage with my drink in hand looking out on a spectacular winter backdrop of mountain views and birch trees when don't I realize, beautiful, gentle snow starts to fall. My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend this to anyone looking to get away to the storybook version of Vermont surely you have your head. This house feels cozy yet with a wonderful open floor plan that precludes any feeling of smallness. You are less than a minute from town and a couple of minutes from any and all the winter fun you could wish for.

Wonderful Ski House!
This was a perfect, cozy ski house for our 2 families of 4 (with grade school aged kids) for a ski vacation. Very convenient to the mountain, and a warm comfortable place to return to. The open concept worked out great for our kids to play while we made dinner and relaxed after a day on the slopes. We'll definitely be back!

Summer Getaway
Our stay at this Ludlow home was nothing short of perfect. The home was just as described. The living space was very open and comfortable with an amazing view of Okemo. Everything was clean and set up for us upon our arrival. Speaking with the owner through the whole booking process was a pleasure. She answered any questions we had in a very timely manner, and also gave us tips on activities and sites. I would definitely recommend staying here when traveling to Okemo or just for some relaxing time away. AND the fire pit is huge, the pictures don't do it justice.

Wonderful home for a family gathering
My husband, 3 grown daughter and their significant others and I, all stayed in the cozy home for a 4 day, 3 night ski getaway. The house held the 8 of us nicely. None of us had ever been to Okemo, so we took a chance. I am glad that we did. The view of the ski slopes from the living room is breathtaking! The rooms are all comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked most of our meals at the house and found everything we needed. If I had one negative, it is that we had to bring our own towels. For my kids who live in the NE, that was not an issue, but we flew in from Florida and did not have room in our suitcase for towels. There is a washer/dryer, so my NE girls brought extra towels for us. All towels were washed, dried and folded before we left. We DID know this ahead of time, so it was not a surprise. Overall, the house was very comfortable and the owners are extremely easy to work with. Yes, I would go back! Highly recommend this place for your vacation.

Great house at a great price!
This house was a great place to enjoy a skiing weekend with friends. Our 2 families had a fantastic time skiing at Okemo, which is only a few minutes away, and then returning to spend time together in the warm, comfortable home. The house offers beautiful views of the mountain from the master bedroom, living room and the deck. The owner Megan is very accomadating and responsive to communications. Both families have decided to return here when we come back to Okemo. Thanks Megan.

The perfect ski vacation rental!
The views from this house are spectacular, and the location is ideal- just a few minutes from the mountain. Very clean and accommodating (the washer/dryer is definitely a plus). We were all very pleased with our stay. Perfect for a group of friends or family. I highly recommend this rental and would hope to return if we visit Okemo again!

Okemo Mountain View in Ludlow, VT
We had never been to the Northeast and were looking for a place where we could explore Vermont. We saw this house on VRBO and we were immediately attracted to the location, the house and the view!!! The house was exactly as pictured, or better, and the views of Okemo Mountain were absolutely incredible, the best in town I'm sure!!! We could not wait to wake up to open the curtains and see the mountain in the mornings!!! It is a very private location, yet convenient to town. The house was perfect for us...we had 3 couples, and we had everything we could have wanted, it was tastefully decorated, extremely clean and inviting, and supplied with all that we needed, except for our personal effects and food. The kitchen was well equipped for any meal preparations you could want. And we were welcomed by a lovely bottle of wine to celebrate our arrival!!!
When inquiring about the house, the owner was very helpful in promptly replying to any questions and giving us numerous suggestions of activities and places to visit, restaurants, local shops, hikes, and places of interest. She was also very accommodating with our schedule, and offered to work with us on our availability. Since we were there in the fall, summer and winter activities weren't available, but there was still more than enough to do.
I could not have asked for a better experience in renting a property!!! It was a pleasure to deal with the owner, I have enjoyed our communications, and she was very helpful in planning our time at her home. We could not complete the list of activities she gave us, but enjoyed doing many of them.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone desiring a relaxing private time, or a family, or friend, get-a-way vacation. You will not be disappointed in renting this home. The owners obviously love the home and enjoy sharing it with others who appreciate it and the beautiful area of Ludlow, VT.
We only hope that we will be able to return to this home for another vacation....our time was just not long enough to enjoy all the activities and places to see!
