This is a nice home situated in the hills of Berkeley. The layout is decent, with 2 bedrooms in the main area and 1 bedroom detached underneath. It was easy for our extended family to stay with 5 adults and 2 children. Only one shower / bath, which is a downside for a larger group.
The views of the city are incredible, and we found ourselves sitting in the living room at night, looking out the expansive windows and taking it all in. The kitchen is well equipped and made it easy to cook a large dinner for the family.
The area is walkable but is very hilly, difficult for mobility issues. There is a rose garden very close and numerous restaurants in the area. Very easy and relaxed stay!

We enjoyed the decor and lovely space. The view was awesome and the hot tub was wonderful.

We needed a house for a family that was close to Berkeley and playgrounds. This house was great. We were a family group in town to celebrate a Berkeley PhD graduation. This held everyone in style. And, at the end of a long day, we were able to sit in the hot tub and look at the town lights. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The toddler enjoyed the toys and books provided. We enjoyed the mid-century modern decor, including a turquoise refrigerator!

My family and I loved our stay at this home! Everything was just as described. The hot tub and gorgeous city view from the yard were a huge plus! It was just what we were looking for while in town visiting family.
We also had a small incident of foolishly locking ourselves out of the house and the owners (as well as the housekeeper, Eunice) were very attentive and came to let us back in within 30 minutes! We were very appreciative of that!!

Lovely views, easy stay
The house was a good fit for four people and our small dog. The deck was nice and we spent a lot of time out there. It's walking distance from the Berkeley Rose Garden as well. The bedrooms are nicely sized (we did not use the detached room). This house was a little bare in regards to having certain household items. There wasn't an extra roll of paper towels or food items like salt or olive oil. Not a big deal but items we did purchase to cook at home.

WHAT A VIEW
My boyfriend and I wanted a change of scene during this shelter in place and couldn’t be happier with this property. We wanted a place to relax and just forget about everything that’s going on in the world right now. This property was perfect for that.
It was extremely clean and I am a neat freak! The bed were very comfortable, clean and cozy. Our absolutle favorite thing about this stay was the hot tub and watching the sunset over the Bay Area it was absolutely breath taking.
We will definitely be back and recommend this property to anyone looking for a little get away in the heart of the bay area !

Sparkling clean home with incredible views. Hidden Gem!
What a great home! It was sparkling clean (and I am a clean freak!) and so warm and sunny! The home is so stylish with a fun mid-century modern theme that collaborates with the home architecture (I love mid-century modern homes!). The furniture and decor is modern and comfortable. The bedrooms are large and the king beds are so comfortable! Large bathroom with bath tub and lots of hot water. The home has incredible bay views from almost every room! The outdoor patio area was our favorite. Large deck with lots of comfortable outdoor furniture. Large outdoor dining area and BBQ a well. The hot tub was magical. Looking at the bay view lights from the hot tub was the best. This area of Berkley is a hidden gem. So close to the UC campus but lots of trees and nature and wildlife around. We really enjoyed it. Cannot wait to go back. If you are considering this property I can recommend everything about it. Especially if you like bight and sunny homes and are a neat freak like me!

Very cute Mid-Century
Clean, beds are comfortable and house is nicely furnished. Kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful outdoor area for relaxing or dining. Only caution, there is no AC. It’s not usually needed in Berkeley but good to know.

Great property in beautiful Berkeley Hills, BUT...
First, the highlights: the house location, easy parking, the incredible deck overlooking SF, the two main bedrooms with excellent linens and pillows, the well-appointed living room, the very appreciated bottle of wine welcoming us, that was all fantastic. However, the out of control mildew smell coming out of that main air vent on the floor in the main hallway outside of the bedrooms, is just not OK for a rental property this expensive. And mildew smell was so overwhelming in the detached third bedroom that my adult son had to sleep in the living room. One non-major issue was challenge of fluctuating water temp in the shower; it's a classic problem in an older house and it's an easy fix, but requires a plumber to come in and remove some tiles and replace/repair the hot water faucet. Resolve the mildew issue (of course, not a minor expense) and this property is a home run. Just loved this place, and I used to own a home 1/2 mile away.

We enjoyed staying in this home.
This is a wonderful, spacious house in a great location, close to trails, with an amazing view. The bedrooms are quite big, with king beds, but the retro vibe of the furnishings makes them cozy. The kitchen was a dream, it had everything we needed. The bottle of California wine hosts provided was a nice touch. Just know that the third bedroom is very small and it is actually outside of the main house. There is also a beautiful deck. We really enjoyed staying at this house and I recommend it highly. We did also stay in the studio in-law unit on this property as well and really enjoyed that, too. If you have a really big group it's possible to rent both units on the property for your group. Tracy answered all of my questions promptly.

Soaking in the hot tub under the stars! Such a great home!
Let me start by saying what a great neighborhood this home is in! We loved how peaceful the neighborhood was. There was lots of trees, deer walking down the street, lots of birds singing. But it was still walking distance to the UC which was great for us. The purpose of our visit was to look at the University with our daughter. So the location was perfect for us! The home was beautiful and clean! We loved the views. So great! And the yard was amazing! Such a great space. We had beautiful weather and loved spending the afternoon sitting in the sun and drinking tea on the deck. Soaking in the hot tub under the stars in the eying was special as well. This place truly is a gem! Oh! And the King sized beds were such a treat! So spacious and comfortable. I cannot wait to return to the gem of a home!

Beautiful home, beautiful views, beautiful stay
This was one of our first experiences with vacation renting a home and we didn't know what to expect. We couldn't be more pleased. It was such a lovely home. The views are much more beautiful than any of the pictures. It was very clean and well organized. The full kitchen was perfect for family meals. We enjoyed the BBQ on the deck. And the deck was really great. Great views from the deck. The hot tub was a nice touch. I wish we could have stayed longer. Tracy was a great host and helped answer all of our questions. We love this area of Berkeley. It was so pretty and peaceful. And close to the gourmet ghetto and it's nice cafes and restaurants. Looking forward to returning to this beautiful home in the future.

Stunning Property! Could not ask for more! Unique!
This property is incredible! I loved everything about it. It's so open, airy, sunny and clean. The large windows in the living room and bedrooms let in so much natural sunlight. And the pictures do not even begin to do the views justice. The has was sparkling clean! The yard was huge and was stocked with outdoor furniture, outdoor dining set and hot tub. There was even a lovely flower garden. I would rent it for the yard alone! The ample amounts of parking was a rare delight! Other places we have stayed and stressful parking situations. The parking could not be easier here. The upstairs bedrooms were large and comfortable. And the downstairs bedroom was cozy but still had everything needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! And will be recommending it to friends! If you are scrolling through listings just stop and book this one. You won't be disappointed!

It really is a gem. Very nice stay.
Just as described. A very unique and fun space. Very clean and comfortable. Great open dining room/living room space with hardwood floors, lots of light and fireplace. The indoor dining room opens onto the outdoor deck/yard area, which was great for entertaining. The outdoor deck area was really nice. Very large and lots of sitting area. The bedrooms were large and well furnished. The 1.5 bathrooms were plenty of bathroom space for our party. Nice bathtub in the full bathroom was great for bathing the kids. The neighborhood is perfect. Nice and quiet. It was close to lots of parks as well. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return soon. We have stayed in other one of Tracy's properties as well and find her to be a really great host. We hope to stay here or at another one of Tracy's properties again soon!

You will love this home!
My family booked this wonderful home for a birthday party. Wow, such a great space! We loved the architecture and fun 1950's decor! The living room area boasts beautiful views of the bay and the flower garden. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were very large and had super comfortable king beds. They also had great bay views, too. And there was a smaller detached bedroom as well that was perfect for our teenage son as it gave him some privacy from the rest of the group. The house was spotlessly clean and so inviting with personal touches like complimentary wine and coffee. But the highlight was the yard with a huge deck, outdoor living room and dining furniture and a hot tub! All with bay views! We really enjoyed to BBQ on the deck with and enjoy our meal outside with a bottle of wine. The house has ample parking and is in an ideal location. It's really close to town but still very quiet and surrounded by trees and nature. You won't be disappointed with this space! Tracy was a great host. She gave us privacy but was there when we needed her!

Such a great stay! Beautiful home and nice area!
I stayed here with my family for my wife's 50th birthday party. We had such a great time! The home was fantastic! We loved how clean and bright it was! The views through floor-to-ceiling windows was magical! The city lights were beautiful watch in the evening and we loved looking out onto the garden during the day. The space is very nicely laid out. Loved how so many of the rooms in the house had great views. Our family of 6 was all very comfortable. The king beds were so comfortable. And the outdoor deck and hot tub were the highlight for us all! Such a great outdoor space with a BBQ, hot tub, outdoor couch and dining area. Such a treat! We can't say enough great things about this home. And there was so much parking, too! Which is so hard to find in this part of town. The location is great! Close enough to town to walk everywhere but far enough away to feel peaceful. Thanks for a great stay!

A great stay in Berkeley
Our daughter attends UC Berkeley so we come to Berkeley often. How lucky we feel that we found this nice home. It was very warm and welcoming. The fireplace was a lovely touch for the cooler evenings. There are great views. And the welcome wine and coffee was a very nice touch. We enjoyed the wine in the hot tub. The kitchen was a welcome delight as I love to cook. And my whole family loved the outdoor dining table for the meal I cooked. It's a great home for a really good price. It was clean, modern and in a secure and safe neighborhood with lots of parks and walking trails. We enjoyed watching the deer prance down the street. Lots of trees and nature surround this home. I wouldn't hesitate coming to this beautiful home again!

What a view! Beautiful home! Wow!
What a view! The windows in this house are absolutely incredible. The patio (with hot tub) is beautiful place to watch the sun go down. The beds are very comfortable and the house is sunny and bright. This house is both beautiful and well-located. The decor is amazing. The two upstairs bedrooms and the living room have theses spectacular sweeping views of the bay that the pictures just don't do justice. The place is well appointed and the patio is very peaceful. We have two small children and there are two amazing parks less than a half mile away! Walking up and down the hill to get to food/groceries is easy and beautiful. Perfect home for a stay in Berkeley! Tracy was so responsive and made sure that we were cared for while leaving us alone to be free to enjoy! We would LOVE to come back again!! You won't go wrong with this place!!! Even the couch is comfortable!

Bathroom needs a remodel
There are redeeming qualities here- the balcony/deck.. but the shower was basically inoperable.. how does everyone else shower here!?!? Also, I am super picky and have super high standards for cleanliness— this was not up to par. I’m sad to say we won’t be back

This was the perfect home base for my family for a family wedding. The house was as advertised, convenient parking & location of the house, gorgeous patio. I would definitely stay here again!

Great place!!!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful & comfortable place. It was perfect for our family of four. Both beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed. The only thing we didn’t like was the low water pressure of the shower which is a very minor thing. We would love to come back to stay in the future.

Wonderful week in Berkeley hills
This could be your dream home in Berkeley. It has an ample living room with a gorgeous view. It is overall very well equipped. It has two superb bedrooms. What makes this house really special though is the terrace overlooking Berkeley and the Bay. We stayed here with three couples and were very comfortable. The third bedroom downstairs we didn´t use; we preferred to sleep on the sofa in the living room. The one thing we regret is that we didn´t take the time to enjoy the hot tub on the terrace!

Great modern home!
This home was in such a great location in Berkeley. We came for a friend's wedding in Tilden Park and it was so close. But it was also pretty close to downtown, too. There are lots of great parks within walking distance. And the home itself is a joy. Very clean, modern decor, comfortable furniture. Welcome bottle of wine left on the table. The bay views are way better than in the photos. And the outdoor deck and living area is huge. The hot tub was the cherry on the top. It was a really wonderful stay and we are looking forward to another visit.

PHENOMENAL!
Tracey was extremely easy to communicate with and my group really, really, really enjoyed our stay! The decor is adorable and so cute in the home, so much so I wanted to ask where she got everything! Lovely home with an awesome jacuzzi and it was such a fun place to get together with our group. Close enough to downtown to get to things, but still up in the hills where the views were beautiful and you felt like you were a little bit out of the way of the city. Close to Indian Rock and other areas and my crew and I did some fun runs from the home! Enough street parking for all, and super comfy beds and a wonderful hang out area in the living room! I wish I could move here. :)

I live in Berkeley and had family coming to visit. We looked at the cost of hotels and decided to all rent a house together instead. This house was perfect. It's a great location, close to the University and lots of restaurants and shops. It's a quiet neighborhood and not suitable for large, loud gatherings. But for just relaxing and hanging with with family and friends, it's perfect. We had nice weather so we spent most of our time on the outside deck. We enjoyed the deck, garden and hot tub. The house was cleaned spotless when we arrived and there was a welcome bottle of wine. My family loved the decor and comfy beds. It was perfect for what we were looking for.

This home was so much nicer than we expected. The living room was magical. The floor to ceiling glass windows with views of the garden and bay were such a lovely feature. We loved how sunny and warm the house was, even in the winter! The large outdoor deck is incredible. Such a great spot for an evening glass of wine. The house is on a corner lot so the yard feels so private and nice. The hot tub was one of our favorite features. And the upstairs bedrooms are huge and the King beds are so comfy. We loved the welcome bottle of wine-nice touch! The kitchen was great and we loved the quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at this cute mid-century modern decorated home in the Berkeley hills. The views of the bay are awesome, enjoyed through the floor to ceiling windows or from the hot tub on the deck. The neighborhood is very quiet and easy to reach via the 65 or 67 from the Bart or UC campus. Also easy parking in the driveway or the street.
Tracy was extremely accommodating when travel plans on both side of our trip were affected by weather and unforeseen work meetings.
Overall the house is super convenient for a family, great to have a washer/dryer right in the kitchen, dishwasher, all the conveniences of home - which is so helpful when traveling with 3 children under 10! There's even a bonus room below the unit with a separate entrance which worked great for our Au Pair.
Would recommend this house and would love to stay there again!

We had a girls weekend in Oakland/San Francisco for a close friend's wedding (in Oakland). We really wanted a place where we could get into San Francisco quickly, but also accessible to the venue in Oakland for the wedding; the mid-century modern gem, was perfect! We fell in love with the area and the neighborhood. We were close to the city, but did not have to deal with the city hub bub at the end of the night. The home was extremely spacious! Third room, which is detached from the main home, it just that, detached. We deemed it the Harry Potter room, as it was very secluded, so we didn't use it. The other 2 rooms were so large, the beds were KING, and the couch that turned into the bed was said to be surprisingly comfortable. Weird note, I just loved the large hallway. There are many features of this house that I wish we had more time to use, such as the great kitchen and amazing patio area! it was gorgeous, with view and the lights, and again the space! The kitchen had stocked the basic needs -- but was sufficient. We didn't do much cooking. The one 'downfall' with the home, and 5 girls, were the bathrooms. There were two bathrooms, but only one shower, and only one of the bathrooms had outlets. We made it work, it definitely wasn't the end of the world, we just planned a bit. One of my favorite features of the home, was the view! we hung out in the family room with the great view, and just visited. There was a TV (small), but it was never used as we just soaked up the company and view. We did enter the home with a hint of a recreational smell, but it was faint, and was gone by the first day. There is a fireplace, but we never could figure out how to use it. At times it took a while to get warm (it was rainy while were there), but we got there, and there were plenty of throws around the home. The location, as described was great! We loved the area so much. The neighborhood was quiet, and up in the hill. As we drove around, we just were so pleased with our decision to stay here. One night we had to run to the grocery store, a Safeway wasn't far away, and it looked to be in such a cute little down. Wish we had more time to discover. Parking was easy. We did only have one car, therefore the one spot was perfect. There was street parking, safe parking, on the same street.
Tracy was responsive and so easy to work with! I don't think we were demanding, but I have a feeling if we had any requests she would hae been helpful. Great host. Thanks.

Wow! I was one of the first guests ever in this home and I was impressed. I was staying in the home for 3 weeks while I was looking for a home of my own in the area. I really enjoyed my time there. It really looks new! New furnishings, new rugs, new paint. My favorite part of the home was the large windows that looked into the garden and the bay. Such a peaceful spot for morning yoga and coffee. And in the evening I loved watchI got the city lights from the dining room table. And the hot tub was perfect. The location was great. In the hills but still walking distance to shops. Lots of non-stressful parking. And Tracy was great eat to deal with. She answered communication quickly. I highly recommend this beautiful home!
