This is a very nice townhouse. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. the beds were wonderful; the kitchen was great! (There is a microwave now!) Be aware that some of the pictures are a bit misleading because they are views that are not actually at the house. I was expecting to find the table with wine glasses outside our back door, but it was actually taken about a half mile down the road near the breakfast/lunch hut mentioned - which truly is amazing! We did find all those photo sites on our walks. It is a beautiful place! And "our beach" is a long, arduous walk away, not one where you can schlep your chairs, picnic lunch, towels, books, etc. through the forest. But it was an amazingly beautiful hike. For beach time, we packed our beach gear into the car and drove to nearby beaches. There are several, and they're incredibly beautiful! The house was a great location for getting to beaches, restaurants, grocery store, etc within minutes. The host provided beach gear, which we used. Like many places in Kauai, the house is not air-conditioned, but there were ceiling fans and box fans to keep the house comfortable. We were there in late July, early August and it was hot! One bedroom did not have cross ventilation and got pretty warm. Also, the house does not have 2 full bathrooms; it's a 1 1/2 bath with 2nd shower outdoors. We loved that shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach and for hair washing. All in all, a great place to stay for a great price.

Home & property was just as stated, owner was responsive but we had few questions. Owner provided detailed information regarding the area, beaches, and things to see/do. Highly recommend this place! We will be back…..

This property was everything we needed. There are plenty of windows and fans that kept us cool at night. The outdoor shower was wonderful! We utilized the kitchen for breakfast and dinner to help save us time and money. Wifi worked great and we had no problems with getting in and out. With all of the hiking we did, this was such a great place to rest and reset! Mahalo nui!

Great property and the owner was helpful!

We have been to Kauai a few times now and enjoyed our stay in this unit. Instructions are great. The owner was really responsive and helpful when we had issues with the WiFi and it all was fixed quickly.
The unit is nice - even better than advertised in the photos! Plenty of space for our family and good access to everything in Princeville, Kīlauea, and Hanalei.
It may be nice to have a bathmat upstairs and a couple extra wash cloths for the future but all the other amenities provided were great.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for exploring different beaches, and is a short, pretty drive to Hanalei. The beach and sunset at Pu’u Poa Beach is beautiful, as well as the views walking to and from the beach. Our absolute favorite was getting a bowl at Nourish after the beach, and taking in the Hanalei Bay overlook scenery.
The property was well stocked with towels, cookware, dishes, fans to circulate the air, soaps, cleaning items, beach necessities, etc. Everything we needed for the week was there.
We worried about not having AC, but with the fans it was not an issue. We kept all of the upstairs windows open, and it was so peaceful hearing nature outside and feeling the breeze and smelling the clean air.
We only have two negatives. The floors needed better cleaning. Our feet were black after only an hour of unpacking and walking around the house. The other was the outdoor shower was not really useable for us as a true shower. We were looking forward to using it, but if the people in the unit next door came out of their back door, we would be totally exposed. It definitely needs a couple walls. It was, however, perfect for washing off after the beach and rinsing beach items.
We would love to stay again. The mountains with rainbows and waterfalls that you can see from the living room and guest bedrooms make the area seem very magical.

This rental is perfect for anyone who wants to feel immersed in what Kauai has to offer: tropical forests, the songs of birds, and the best climate in the world! And chickens and roosters, of course ;) The outdoor shower is amazing, and the house, beds, furniture are all comfortable. In the mornings you can have a cup of coffee on the lanai in the shade of the trees. A rooster will most likely come by and say hello; if you see a black rooster with a funny buzz cut, we named him Roger - the kids still miss him. Do consider putting the chairs and table away at night though, as he seems to consider these his own personal nighttime perch.
There are several small beaches nearby; Hideaway Beach was my personal favorite (you do need to be able to climb down a small cliff to reach it, however, but if you are able to, it is very much worth it!). This beach, and a few others, are walking distance from this property. The walk by the golf course is lovely as well. The closest beach, as far as we could tell, is straight down Plantation road, just past the food truck. There are others only a short drive away.
Hanalei is so lovely in the summer, I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hawaii. It was the closest thing to paradise I have ever seen. If I had enough money, I would buy a house there. I would even buy something in the exact replica of this rental; it was just perfect. Mahalo.

We stayed during the summer and the immediate area at this location was quiet. Within walking distance of Queen's Bath and Hideaway Beach, this was a very nice place to stay with a family of 5. Updated furnishings with a full kitchen. It worked great as we cooked in for 1-2 meals each day.

A really pleasant place to stay with a view of a jungle and a beautiful walk to a secluded beach.

This place was amazing very clean updated with modern style with views of the jungle and mountains with waterfalls conveniently
located near grocery store and restaurants. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookware for the nights we didn't go out with a washer and dryer. We took full advantage of the scuba gear biggie boards and beach towels. Owners gave us some local tips and checked in with us after check in and answered any questions we had. I highly recommend this rental for family vacation or just traveling friends. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was comfortable. The grocery store was very close and right outside from the street, you get great views of the mountains and hanalei valley. The two rooms facing the street are very noisy in the morning from passing cars. Made it hard to sleep in. House was as clean as a hotel room would be, but not as clean as i expected for someone's home. The toilets seemed smaller than usual. The outside shower is not private. Though technically out of view of others, it is open without any curtain or door blocking the entrance. It definetly did not have adequate hot water for one full shower. It was not convenient at all to walk to the "nearby" beach and while accessible, its not easy to find. We found hanalei bay to be more inviting and nicer to swim at. Glad we had a car to drive there. It's strange that there's no microwave at all. Its understandable that the owners don't use a microwave themselves but if you're going to rent your place to others, it should have a microwave for their convenience. Even simple motels have microwaves. It was nice to have laundry, but a little strange that there was no detergent. Not even a small bag of soap for one load. And, its kind of weird to ask your guests to take the recyclables to the center themselves. It may be closeby, but why not arrange for housekeeping to take it as part of their service? That seems like a reasonable expectation.

Great location, beautiful jungle out your back door with banana and papaya trees and lots of island chickens.
Enjoyed our stay.

This VRBO was everything we needed and more starting with ease of communication with Ofie before and during our stay. The rental was immaculate; clean and stocked with ample towels and basic supplies. The bed linens were of the highest quality. It was newly renovated. Location was very private, parking and access easy, quick drive to points of interest and shopping. This rental is a gem.

Very nice house overall. Very good to house 6 of us. Nice room size and beds. I highly recommend this house. Here are some minor suggestions that would make this house from grade A to A+:
- There are 4 regular-size chairs at the dinning table. The other 2 are semi-high chairs. Would be great if there are 2 more regular-size chairs.
- 1 shower is an issue for 6 of us. There is enough room in 1/F bathroom to install a stand-up shower.
- Front porch light is sometimes on and sometimes off. I suspect it is motion detected?
- The road to nearby recommended beach is private. I met a resident living on the private property and she kindly asked us not to take the private road. She also said that because it is private, the beach is not well maintained and she wouldn't recommend going.
- In general, I don't recommend walking to nearby beaches. Driving is more convenient.
- No AC may be an issue in summer.
- There is a very good breakfast food truck (Saenz Ohana Breakfast) near entrance to the road. Highly recommended.
- Foodland supermarket is close-by and convenient. But price is expensive, which maybe true in general for Kauai.
- Kitchen is awesome. Kichenwares are plentiful. But please please add a microwave. It is not expensive at all and will highly facilitate renters.
- A small rice cooker would be a big plus.
- It is very interesting to see roosters and cats in the balcony.
- When we open the windows in the dining room, some very small flying insects are able to pass through the screens. Probably need screens with smaller holes.

We enjoyed this property and how responsive the owner was. We didn't have any issues, but he made himself available. The decor was nice and Hawaiian-styled and very clean and comfortable. The only challenge we had with 6 adults was finding time to shower since there is only one indoor shower. We did occasionally use the outdoor shower, but a 2nd indoor shower would be nice.

We had a great time staying here and visiting with family who live in the area. It was a very quiet yet very convenient location. Close to Foodland and close to Hanalei. There is an outdoor shower which was a huge help when returning from the beach. The house had all the amenities that we could need with the exception of a microwave and a rice cooker. The house was clean, though there were a few cobwebs in the dining room light fixture that we cleaned away. Overall it was very nice and clean though, and for the location you can’t beat the price. I would definitely stay here again.

Did not want to leave!
Perfect location that's close to Foodland grocers and Hanalei. We loved the comfort, decor, and jungle views. Greatly appreciated the floor fans and ceiling fans. Thoroughly enjoyed the roosters and chickens. Hosts were great at communication. We loved it!

Fantastic location, spacious and situated near some of the most beautiful views on the island
This place is in a perfect location! Very close to shopping in both Hanalei and Princeville. The property is spacious and has a little back porch that overlooks the jungle. There is one and a half bathrooms inside and an outdoor shower that is semi-private (it has three solid sides and the fourth side is open but faces the jungle, although there is another townhouse next to you on one of the walled sides of the shower). I could not find a grill on the property including near any of the other townhouses but we didn’t need it because the kitchen was very well equipped with even a spice cabinet and some other essential cooking basics such as nonstick spray and a few condiments in the frig. If you are staying more than 4-5 days, you will need to buy or bring TP, laundry detergent, and dishwasher tabs and possibly trash bags. Shampoo and body wash are very nice quality and are provided. We absolutely loved the hike to Pu’u Poa beach which takes about 20-25 min to get to and the sights you see on the way are breathtaking!! The beds were extremely comfortable and bedrooms were a nice size. We only missed the lack of air conditioning during the day but the 4 fans in addition to the ceiling fans and opening the windows really helped us sleep at night and it cooled off significantly at night. The living room furniture was comfortable and very nice and suited our family of five very well. The price we paid per night was a great value for a three bedroom townhouse. It is quiet except for the roosters crowing but they are all over Kauai. The WiFi is a bit slow but manageable. The house is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed our two week stay immensely! We looked forward to seeing the views just outside our doorstep every morning. The house is truly located on the most beautiful part of the island!! Ofie was a great host and responded very quickly to any questions we had.

My husband and 5 month old son stayed with our in-laws for 5 days at this property. Fantastic location not far from anything you could need or want. The beach nearby is absolutely worth the walk down. Night is peaceful aside from the occasional rooster that cover the entire island. Plenty to do in town just a few short minutes away. Would reccomend and we hope to stay again someday!

Quaint rental home
We booked the rental for 9 days during Christmas of 2021. We've never stayed in Kauai, let alone the islands around the holidays. The home was as pictured, although it could have used a little more elbow grease in cleaning (especially the cobwebs in the light fixtures). The house was equipped with pretty much everything you'll need for your stay, but I was quite surprised it was missing a microwave oven and almost all of the water activity gear that should have been by the outdoor shower (and AC, in case you're thinking of booking during warmer months). I also wish it had window treatments in the master bedroom for privacy. It is located minutes from a Foodland, which is nice for getting supplies and more importantly, Anini Beach (great snorkeling). Overall, it was a good place to stay with my family.

This townhouse was hard to find at night and the first frustrating thing to deal with was the porch light that was on a sensor, but it only stayed on for a few seconds at a time, so not long enough to see to get the lock box and the door opened. The house has a dishwasher, but the owner didn't leave any soap for it, and when we asked for some they sent over three pods (there were 5 of us staying for 7 nights!). This wouldn't have been so bad had they provided us with ample kitchen towels so we could hand wash with the liquid soap they provided, but they only gave us two. There was a drying rack under the sink but it was disgusting. They also only left 5 bath towels which meat we had to do laundry every day of our stay which wouldn't have been so bad, except the washing machine was so loud on the regular cycle that the first time we ran it we thought construction had started in the complex - that and the owners request that we not leave on any fans or lights if we left the house because electricity is so expensive left us a little confused as to why they would not have left enough towels and dish washer pods to make full loads happen. Oh - and we wouldn't have been able to really fill the dishwasher anyway because of the lack of excess glassware and plates. We didn't even have enough plates and glasses to make breakfast and dinner happen in the same day (and my toddler had her own plastic plates and bowls from home!). The outdoor shower was disgusting - there were old mason jars of other peoples soap/shampoo that were moldy, and old, gross pair of shoes and it seemed to just be hooked up to the garden hose. The second picture you see while scrolling of the two wine glasses, wine bottle and river beach - it isn't part of this property. We never saw it and we looked. The two little out door chairs and table that is a part of the house was covered in chicken feces and one of the chairs was broken so we never used them(the owner was aware of the broken chair, the broken lamp shade and the broken closet door upstairs but hadn't bothered to have them fixed). My toddler dropped one of her pen caps under the couch and I wanted to pull it out for her but opted to leave it after looking under the couch and seeing how nasty it was - dead bugs and all. And then there was the bathroom - hair in the drain, someone else's soap, loofa, shampoo, and face wash sitting on the one ledge that was available to put stuff on.

I’m really happy with the results! We planned for this starting in 2019, then when 2020 rolled around and all the COVID mess it was decided to postpone our vacation. The monies we had paid earlier were used to allow us to vacation in 2021 with no increase in price…thank you!!!

Very cute place and great location. The walk to the picnic tables pictured is about 5 min and walk to the beach is about 40 min (I would highly recommend). Close to food and many other activities. If you are not used to chickens/ roosters, I would recommend ear plugs.

I don't even know where to begin. This townhouse/condo is in such a magical location. Great floorplan for our family of 4. my husband LOVED the outdoor shower, in fact, he only showered outside :) and is already planning where we can build our own outdoor shower at home. haha. Condo was super clean and contained all necessary amenities. Fully stocked kitchen, including spices, staples of flour, sugar, good coffee, olive oil, and various condiments. We thought we would miss having A/C, but the condo really cooled down at night, there are ceiling fans, floor fans and the beach is only a short walk through a gorgeous field which overlooks the Hanalai Bay. You can watch the sunset here too. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet with plenty of room to unpack your clothes. The beds are super comfortable, there are extra pillows, blankets if you need them. The condo backs up to a tropical jungle which we found to be a perfectly private setting. Keep in mind, it is the North shore and has a wonderfully earthy scent as does the condo but just open the windows and turn on the fans - it will make a difference. The resident roosters and chickens/chicks are charming. Very safe, quiet, friendly, convenient location. We loved staying here. You will too. Mahalo.

This is a nice home with good location. It was clean and spacious and the beach accessories were really nice to have so you don't have to bring them or rent them. We were a little disappointed that there is only 1 full bathroom inside of the house when we had 5 adults that needed to shower. One shower is located outside in the back - which is great for rinsing off sand and mud from being at the beach or hiking. With the roads being closed during certain times, you can't get to Hanalei at all times. We had to wait for up to 30 minutes to have access to or to/from Princeville to Hanalei. Otherwise it was great.
