Denali Hideaway is located a half mile off of the Parks Highway, nestled in the small town of Healy, just 11 miles north of Denali National Park. Built by a talented local carpenter, this breathtaking, beautiful Alaskan home is an excellent retreat after a long day of adventuring in Alaska's Interior.
Our two bedroom, one bathroom residence is attached, yet private, with an entrance of its own. It comfortably sleeps four with a queen bed and two twin beds, full bath, living room with a mini-fridge, microwave and other small kitchen appliances to make your stay more enjoyable. The home's original owner and master craftsman took precise care in the building of the entire home - including crafting all of the home's ceilings, support beams and intricacies.
Located in Healy, there are a variety of restaurants, a local brewery, a small convenience store, a quaint local coffee shop, an Alaskan lake and many local trails. For more entertainment, restaurants and activities, simply drive 11 miles to just outside the entrance to Denali National Park. This bustling tourist hub, known to locals as "Glitter Gulch", is home to dozens of restaurants, nightly shows, several gift shops as well as your gateway to many more adventurous activities.

Property was clean and inviting. You could tell that a lot of time had been put into making the place very homey. Nice and close to Denali NP and away from the touristy area. Would highly recommend the Denali Hideaway!

This was a great rental for our trip to Denali. My husband and I were traveling with our two college age children and we had plenty of space. Lovely cosy spot with lots of houseplants and throw blankets. Enough couch space for everyone and a fabulous selection of national park themed games.

We checked in about 3pm and temp was 59F. I talked to host downstairs and she said heat was turned off in June. The next day the sun was out and temp was 62F. Still cold for a shower or just sitting around with Grandsons. We paid to have a nice cabin, but expect heat and they did not have a space heater either. Host was not happy with our comments in the book left at our room for guests to tell about stay. She sent a nasty email to us. I also sent a message to Vrbo and no response after 5 days. So, now I am writing this review which could have been different had I received a response from vrbo. I would expect the Host and Vrbo to refund some money, being we did not get the heat in the room, making the room less than standard.

We appreciated how clean the place was. It was also quiet and comfortable, matching the description on the listing. Kami was helpful with suggestions of other things to do when the NP was closed. If we make it back to Alaska, we would plan to stay here again.

The property is exactly as described and the pictures are very accurate. Kami, the host, is a very detailed person. Communication with her was great and she was very accommodating to our needs. We found all we needed, coffee, plastic cutlery and plates, several shampoos and conditioner, extra towels, extra blankets and many other things. The beds are very comfy, and while there is not a kitchen, the microwave and fridge do a good job. We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had is that the Internet was not working and the TV too far from the sofas.

Very nice stay at 'Denali Hideaway'. Upon arrival we briefly meet Kami outside and she was just full of energy and local information. Very quiet in a modern-day log home. If we're ever back in the Denali area or passing thru we would make reservations at the Denali Hideaway' again!

We found the options for Denali lodging limited. This location was awesome. Clean and nice beds. No kitchen but we just cooked in the microwave. We didn’t spend much time there. Most our time was spent in the park. My wife and I enjoyed reading and relaxing on the couches before our boys woke up for a day of outside fun. Highly recommend this location.

The cabin was easy to find and located conveniently in town - a few minutes drive to restaurants and coffee shops. Very cozy and warm, and lovingly decorated - lots of plants! Love the multiple windows letting in sun. There's a small window conveniently located above the bed and we peeked out of it periodically at night to check for the aurora (luck was not with us this time). Host was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

SUCH A LOVLEY PLACE!! the host was so accommodating and went above and beyond with our requests! We were able to see the northern lights right outside on the drive away! Wish we could have stayed longer!

I’m he check-in was super easy, the description of directions to the property were very clear and it was such a cozy place! Even in the -26 degree weather it stayed warm and we had no issues during our stay. Thank you!!

A lovely property, sparkling clean, with all the amenities of home. Nice sleeping & seating space for four adults. A little larger TV is our only suggested need. We are repeat guests, and we hope to stay again.

Beautiful location and very cozy. Board games and coloring pages/blocks for kids. I was so happy there was utensils and cups. It was very warm and plentiful blankets. Walking trails all over and close proximity to gas station. Host family was so kind and welcoming we had a great trip. Almost 90 year old grandmother and 3 year old both had a great time even when visibility was low. Will stay here again!

There were many nice added touches that (hand warmers, bottled water, aurora forecast) that made this a really great place to stay. We came after Denali had mostly closed for the winter but still thoroughly enjoyed exploring what we could. We also met some really great people in town. I would definitely come back!

This apartment is part of the home and it has a cozy vibe with comfortable beds and a cozy living room. We had a wonderful restful night. The host was kind and communicative. It was safe and clean and checks off the important parts of a vacation hideaway. =)

Host Kami is the best, provided very helpful information and tips. We didn’t plan to cook during the stay so the cabin got all the amenities that we needed: a small refrigerator, coffee, cups and glassware.

We loved our clean, spacious apartment in Healy which was close to Denali National Park! Our only request would the ability to cook a simple meal, especially for breakfast, through a griddle or frying pan. Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at the Denali Hideaway was good. Great location from Denali NP and easy check-in. The host is prompt on communication and provides helpful local information. The beds were comfortable, and it had a nice living space. The only "con" is that it states in the description that it has a kitchenette, which made us think it would have sink. There is a mini fridge and small microwave, but the bathroom sink is the only sink, so any dishes/glasses had to be washed in the bathroom. Overall, would recommend.

This charming hideaway is just what we needed along our journey from Fairbanks to Anchorage. Very clean, well stocked and cozy. I highly recommend it!

Perfect for our needs. Don’t let the drive in alarm you. All will be fine when you arrive at the hideaway. 20 minutes from Denali Park Road with gas, groceries, and restaurants all less than 5 minutes away. We will look to stay here again on our next visit.

Property was beautiful. Owners were very acommodating. Good place to stay if you want to be near Denali National Park. There were no cooking facilities but we were only there two days so it worked out for our trip. Great stay.
