This house was perfect for our vacation. Location was amazing! We walked to pretty much everything and VERY close to the Malecon. We used the rooftop every night. There is a building in front of the house but you still get beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. The kitchen did not have many tools or spices but we ate out most of our stay anyway. Floors could use a good mop but didn't bother us. Great house with AC units in every room. Bathrooms in every room which is so convenient and great for privacy. If we return to La Paz we will definitely book again.

We stayed 6 weeks and really got to know the space and neighborhood.
Ana was a real “rock star”! She responded quickly and effectively to the few issues we had. The gate to the front terrace was broken and she brought repairmen in with a welder to fix it! The kitchen is supplied with basic utensils. I like to cook so hit one of the many local houseware/department stores for a few more kitchen supplies, which I left behind.
The few things we asked to have repaired are those staying just a few days will simply overlook. As someone who also has a VRBO and is staying long term, I hope it was appreciated that I brought them to the owner’s attention. This home is very clean but could use some minor refreshing. The operator manual needs updating, chipped dish ware needs replacing, some screen doors did not fit well and the draperies needed hooks and were hard to open and close. The kitchen could use some counter task lighting.
This is the first time we’ve stayed in a neighborhood in Mexico, so the car alarms and barking dogs are something to get used to. Bring industrial grade ear plugs!
The building in front obstructs what would be a panoramic view from the top terrace but blocks much of the noise at night from the nearby Malacon. Instead, it has two million dollar views! The hot tub is wonderful, but can take up to three hours to heat.
With the many excellent shops and restaurants nearby we found a car unnecessarily, unless it’s to visit the beautiful towns and beaches nearby.

Great place, so close to everything, great view of Sea of Cortez.

Great property and location. Host was amazing communicator. Very clean and exactly as advertised. Even came with extras like a welcome cake and some coffee. Only issue was the dogs next door barking a lot, but that's not the fault of the property. Would stay again.

My girlfriends and I come to La Paz once a year for anual Dr. Appointments and to shop. This house was perfect for us with total privacy bedrooms and on suites. We didn’t have much time to spend there as we did a lot of running around, but definitely reserve it next year if available. Property mgr. Monica was very responsive and an excellent host!!

We enjoyed Casa del Desierto. Lots of space - a perfect set-up for 2 couples, or a family and a couple. Well appointed and charming home. Great communication from the host, easy-to-follow check-in, and good information in the house.

We stayed in Casa del Desierto for 4 nights in late March. The home has 3 nice bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We did not need the air conditioning but it is available for warmer weather. The washer and dryer were very much appreciated. The house is one block from the Malecon and only 3-4 blocks from many good restaurants and shops. We parked our car in the nice off-street parking provided and never used our car to get around La Paz. It is a very walkable city if you stay in this area. The lighting could be improved a bit in the living room and especially in the kitchen. The online photos give the impression of unobstructed views of the bay, however there is a large apartment building directly in front of this house, so much of the view from the rooftop patio is blocked by this building. This is why the rooftop photos are shown at strong angles. Overall, the beds were very comfortable and the entire house was very clean. We were very pleased with our visit.

Great house and location. Beautiful as the web pictures, except there is a condo between the house and the bay, partially blocking view. Probably would have given 5 stars if not for the 3 dogs next door that barked early each morning when they were let out.

The house was comfortable and in an excellent location. Adequate parking. The neighborhood is not “quiet” as there are 4 dogs next door that bark almost constantly. Even with doors and windows shut and earplugs, it was difficult to sleep most nights. The 4th floor hot tub was great and an excellent view to the side of the monstrous 4 story building directly across from the house. Too bad that was allowed to be built as an unobstructed view would have been fantastic. Very receptive host who addressed all of our concerns almost immediately.

Charming and comfortable this house felt like a home away from home. There was hotel style bedding, plenty of bathrooms, and nice amenities. I would definitely rent again.

Beautiful property right next to the Malecon
What a beautiful property, with a rooftop that was magnificent with heated jacuzzi overlooking the Malecon and a beautiful view of the mountains. A magical place in La Paz! I will be coming back!!

4 floor of goodness and space. You will enjoy the location and hanging out on the roof deck with hot tub.

La Paz warmth
This house is located about midway along the Malecon, thus we could walk out the door for dinner very easily, but it wasn't crazy loud from street traffic. It also has an upper terrace that allows views of the ocean and the beautiful sunsets. The house itself was large and comfortable. The kitchen was well enough equipped for quick and easy meals. The bed and bath linens were good. The mattresses were all very comfortable.

Great deal and good location.

Excellent location and facility.
Cada del Desierto is excellent due to its location and amenities. The property manager went well above to ensure we had and excellent stay.
I would not recommend it, however, for anyone with mobility issues since the condo is three stories with narrow stairs. Other than that it’s a wonderful place and we had a great stay.

We had an awesome time. House comfortably slept 2 couples, could have fit more people if needed. Walking distance to a ton of very cool spots. Nice little parking garage. Roof top deck was epic. Thanks for a great stay.

Rooftop hot tub with view of Sea
This property was perfect for my husband and I, but would also be great for a group, especially since each room has its own bathroom. The rooftop deck with hot tub and views of the sea and promenade made this a special stay. The condo has off street secure parking and is one block from the main street and the Malecon/promenade. The host was friendly and communicative. There was a beach umbrella and cooler for guest use, which was nice for beach outings to Telecote and Balandra, which are about a 20 min drive. But there is a beach just a block from the house as well! The restaurants and a convenience store are all in walking distance. We stayed here while diving at nearby Esperitu Santo, and enjoyed every moment.

Great Spot for a Group!
Travelled in October with a group of friends to Casa Desierto. Overall we had a great stay - the house is spacious if not luxurious. We spent a lot of time on the roof looking at the beautiful waters of La Paz. The manager, Ana Carolina was amazing and very responsive to every message I sent her. Halfway through our stay there was an issue with the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms which could not be fixed right away. Ana was very apologetic and let us move to another property nearby that she manages, Casa Abuelita, which was one of the most beautiful rentals I have ever stayed at. She even offered to drive into town and help us move our bags. 5 Stars for an amazing host!

La Paz Beauty
Casa del Desierto is beautiful inside and out! It is a very welcoming ‘home away from home’ with many pluses - modern furnishings and decor, incredibly comfortable beds, stunning rooftop view, laundry facilities. Slight drawback - kitchen/cooking amenities need improvements. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by the Covid19 crisis, but our Property Manager’s compassion and interest in our well-being helped ease the stress of the situation.

Super Service and Suggestions
During our travels the apartment had a water leak that caused damage and made it unlivable. Ana Carolina let us know while en route and arranged for us to stay at a different property, which more than met our expectations (hence, I can't actually provide a true rating on the accuracy of this particular listing, even though I am forced to do so). Having seen where this apartment is located, both were in excellent locations -- near opposite ends of the Malecon.
Since we didn't actually stay at this property, this review is more about the general service and helpfulness we experienced. Firstly, we were relocated to another property that seemed just as nice, if not better than this one. As another example, while at the other apartment, we experienced an issue with a lack of water pressure to the showers. Ana Carolina called a plumber who came over within a few hours, after which there were no further problems. She also provided excellent suggestions for beaches and restaurants in the La Paz area.

Great place but bad sleep
Overall the house was clean and comfortable, but the neighbor had a barking dog that kept us up every night — need ear plugs

Best vacation spot ever
We booked this spot for a couple of nights to celebrate my birthday and I cannot say enough good things about it. No one wanted to leave! The beds were comfy, the Jacuzzi was amazing, the view was beautiful, the location was perfect, Ana was so nice and easy to communicate with! We grilled out on the patio one night and walked the malecon to some awesome dinner the next night. We will be coming back now that we have found this gem 😊

Four happy Canadians
There are 4 of us who enjoyed a couple nights before heading out sea kayaking. It was perfect for us with the room set up and abundance of bathrooms. Although we only had 2 nights here we would love to come back. The house is perfectly situated just off the malecon and Ana is a warm and gracious hostess. We loved that rooftop hot tub.

Very comfortable and as described
The house was very comfortable and exactly as seen in the photos - spacious rooms, a beautiful terrace, and very clean. Loved having 3 rooms en suite, as it afforded more privacy as well. Yolanda was very nice.

Great place , nice location near the mellicon , good rooms for 2 , 3 rd bed is better for kids
Nice place, needs more tv’s in each bedroom and up on the sun deck ... internet was very poor so I would replace with faster speed and better connection. Should also replace the water heater as it went out twice during our stay . Pricing was ok , and location was good for views and walk to Mellicon
Thanks
John

Loved out stay!
We loved our stay at Casa Terrazas . There were 4 of us, 2 couples and the layout of the house worked fabulously. Bathroom on every level of the house. It's 1/2 block from the Malecon which made getting out and walking to restaurants, the grocery store, the water, etc. very easy. The sculptures on the Malecon are a very nice added feature to LaPaz. We spent many an hour on the roof top patio reading, talking, laughing. You can't go wrong renting Casa Terrazas.

Great house
Great location with Sea of Cortez view from the terrace.
Yolanda and her team have been very helpful and cordial. The house layout worked great for my family, as I was traveling with my 2 kids and my parents.
Each bedroom has on suite bath with a powder on the living area.
Had a great time and can't wait to come back.

Good Location
This La Paz house is in a good location to enjoy the Malecon strip with restaurants, shopping and general relaxation. It is located at one end of the busy Malecon area, one block back, so it is in a quiet residential area. You could be more central but I think there may be noise and traffic issues. The house itself provides most necessities. There is no microwave as stated and the kitchen supplies are a bit sparse if you want to eat in and use the kitchen. The house is spacious and clean and the rooftop hot tub with lounging area is a nice addition. Minor issues came up, like garbage collection, that weren't resolved (we were there for two weeks).

3 Weeks in La Paz
I stayed in this house with 3 others for 3 weeks on a work project. It was an incredible place to stay. The rooms were comfortable, the common area provided much needed social space, the kitchen was spacious and clean, and the roof top deck was a beautiful place to watch the sunset and wind down the evenings. The location is very near El Malecon and you can see joggers and walkers enjoying the seaside morning and night. We were able to get around La Paz on bicycles for 3 weeks at this location with close access to amazing restaurants, a great grocery store and incredible views. This place is perfect for friends, families or work trips. It's an incredible location, a beautiful and safe neighborhood, and a wonderful launching place to explore La Paz. This was an amazing experience that I will certainly do again.
