**PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A PIER. Hurricane Laura took that with her when she blew through and we are in the process of obtaining permits to rebuild.

One of the best stocked homes I’ve ever stayed at! The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. We all enjoyed our stay here!

We really loved the location, and the layout of the house. It was perfect for a weekend getaway with family, as we had enough room for everyone to stay comfortably.

Nice place, but the bedroom showing the bunk beds over full are not actually there. There’s only 2 double beds. Made the sleeping arrangements a challenge but it worked out. Washing machine seems to have a door sensor problem. Useable but thinks it’s unlocked so stops the washing. Someone had put duct tape over the door to help keep it going but didn’t seem to make a lot of difference. The downstairs patio area is great for playing cornhole in the heat of the day. The “cool” ocean breeze felt great. The deck was also very nice and had very comfortable patio chairs. Great views. We would definitely rent again.

We had an amazing time. The house was located in a quiet area with great views of the bay. The hosts has lots of extras like beach towels and crab traps that were super fun to use. We did wish the dock was available that was pictured and also the bunk bed room was now just two full size beds. Other than that we had a GREAT time. We would absolutely come back.

For birders coming to visit the High Island Audubon sanctuaries this place is a perfect location. Plus excellent birding off the back deck. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Kitchen has Kurig and regular coffee makers as well as everything you will need for preparing meals. We will definitely return.

We had a great time here! The location is great - backing up to the bay and then being right across the street from the beach. Nice, pretty and quiet location. The house was clean, great views, and a well equipped kitchen with all the tools we needed to cook some meals. The wrap around porch is FABULOUS! Loved having the washer and dryer there too! Our family will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends!

House was beautiful and stocked with everything we would have needed. Everyone loved the house and all around it. Fishing was great from the surf or bay. Caught a shark, some speckled trout, flounder and a few rays. Will definitely book again if available when we go back. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience for the whole family!!

They were absolutely amazing! With awesome communication and accommodations for our family's needs with our son who is on the spectrum they were so kind and helpful! They went above and beyond for us and we couldn't be more thankful! Wonderful hosts and such an amazing property ready to use and relax and we will definitely stay there again in the future!

We absolutely loved our rental.when we arrived the house had little treats for us which the kids really appreciated. Check in was smooth and Missy was really great at communicating with us and reaching back out. The house has everything you may need when it comes to cooking which we really appreciated.

Beautifully Relaxing
Nice comfortable home. Loved that there were seating on both sides of the house. Wrap around porch. Wished we knew about the time wait for the ferry. 1-2 hour wait. However, the ride was nice. The host replied quickly when I texted. Very nice people.

So much to say about this experience
We enjoyed every part of staying at this property. Communication with the hosts, the ease of check-in, the secluded nature of the location with easy access to the bay and the beach. This house was fully stocked with everything that you would need and more. My kids particularly liked the bowl of candy and the basket of chips. Such a welcoming gesture. The sunset from the deck and the sunrise from the beach was something we couldn’t get enough of. I would highly recommend this property to anyone! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Best stocked vacation home we've ever stayed in!
The house was perfect for our family of 6 (myself, husband, and 4 kids aged 15, 10, 8, and 7). The location was great - we got to enjoy being on the bay (the kids kayaked), but when we went to the beach, it was literally a 30 second drive. Russell and Missy have ensured that you will have everything you need - this was the best stocked vacation home we've ever stayed in. Plenty of towels for bathrooms and beach, plenty of sheets, very well stocked kitchen including paper plates and plastic cups/silverware, just in case you don't feel like washing dishes! We will definitely be back! :)

Great place for a family.
As last time we had a blast. We were a little disappointed that the dock was gone. A couple of our people were looking forward to fishing again. That is a GREAT feature. Please bring it back. A scheduled power outage lasted quite a bit longer than expected but the owners treated us well and we persevered. We will be back

Beautiful Sunsets
This is a gorgeous Bay house right on the bay but you can also see the beach from one side of the house. You get amazing sunsets and both the bay and the beach experience

Anniversary Celebration
We had a very relaxing weekend although Hurricane Laura took out the fishing pier and there went our fishing from the pier. The hosts are very nice and always make we have plenty of snacks. The Krusty Krab is very comfortable and the view from the large front deck is the best. We love this beach house.

Relaxing peaceful stay
Family vacation and very relaxing. This location makes it easy to enjoy bay side and not far from beach side. I really enjoy the sunsets from back porch.

Wonderful!
We loved this house and really enjoyed our short stay there. We came over the 4th of July weekend, and unfortunately the beaches were closed/restricted due to COVID. We didn’t get much beach time in at all, sadly. At first I was worried and thought about canceling, but I’m glad we decided to stay.
First of all, I love the location. Gilchrist is a quieter, more secluded part of the peninsula, so I prefer staying on that end. This house is on the bay side, but the beach is literally right across the street. I could see the beach access from the deck. The area it is located was nice and quiet. The neighbors were plenty far away. The pier needs some work, which the owner informed us about prior to our visit (and they are working on getting it repaired so give them time), but it was still plenty usable and provided a lot of entertainment for our visit. The crab traps were a nice addition to have there!
The house had everything we needed and more! The owners really thought about their guests with this house. There were random things there for guests, like snacks (big hit with our group) and evening batteries! We also had a fun surprise to find the master bath had TWO showers! There were more towels than you could possibly need, as well as everything else you might need for a stay. The beds and couch were all so comfortable, and my favorite part was the sunroom. We used it as a play room for the babies, but I loved sitting in there with them. It was so peaceful. The house was so clean and nice, and beachy! There was plenty of room for our big group. We never found space to be an issue, inside or out! The deck was gated for the babies which made sitting out and enjoying the day nice. Wonderful views all around. We were able to see fireworks all around us!
The owners were amazing to work with! We had so many issues from the beginning, from the VRBO app not working right, to COVID closures. They were so quick to respond and were willing to work with us on every issue we had! I was so sad to leave when our stay was up. I will most definitely book this house again!
I’d say all you really need for this house is fishing poles and supplies, lots of mosquito spray (they were eating us even though we were covered in spray), and laundry detergent, lol. They even provided plenty of shampoo! If I could rate this house and the owners higher, I would!

Well stocked and Comfortable
This was a very nice place and well stocked with all you need. The pier was relaxing and we were still able to catch fish and crabs despite the filling in of rollover pass down the road. Beach is just a short drive across the road.

Mini End-of-Year Vacation
What an enjoyable visit we had to the Kristi Krab. We love this part of the peninsula and this house is one of the best we have stayed in! Very clean and well maintained. Thanks for allowing us to use your home for a few days of fun and relaxation!

you can loose your damage deposit easily
I had a good time with my team at this place unless I got an email titled "no refund." Reasons are this that they gave me.
--------------
We believe there were more people in this group than what we allow, even after the guest was told additional guests would not be allowed. This was quite obviously because the house was filthy. We will not be returning your deposit for the following reasons... House rules were not followed. Lines were not removed from beds. Dirty towels were left in the kitchen floor. Furniture had been rearranged and not put back in its place. Wet towels were left in the dryer. Everything in the kitchen had been rearranged. Paint was scraped off the walls of the kitchen island. Bait was left in crab traps.
....
Yes we had 19 people. As soon as it was not feasible after communicating with owner, I booked additional property nearby this house for 10 people about 2min away this house. As I was kindly informed "you keep the overnight guest to 10". We kept it, but as a whole group sometime we had to eat together for dinner. But they took this as reason for no-refund. It is really funny. House became filthy? really? it was filthy then. We cleaned up everything. If we did not put it the furniture back as it was, it is about inches different. Sorry for one wet towel on the kitchen floor. But is it for Damage Deposit? what about cleaning fee that you charged? We never scraped off the walls of the kitchen and bait was already left before we used. I cleaned what i used.
For the future customers who is looking at this place, REALLY be careful their rules. With the same price you can fine anther place. The company that I booked later for 10 people, gave me $100 discount. the house has three bathroom each room. As i mentioned what about over-guest 19 just in case for further use, they said no problem. Good thing is there is no damage deposit. Damage Deposit is for damage thing.

End of June Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay. Just wish that the weather hadn't thrown such a vicious Saturday afternoon storm that caused a massive power failure, which was only Mother Nature's fault! Loved being so near both the gulf and bay. We hope to return soon.

Great Family Getaway!
Krusty Krab is a great house located on bay side but with a great view of beach, with a wrap around porch, which we loved. The home was very inviting and comes very well equipped and has a great floor plan. We absolutely loved the personal touches throughout the house. This was a first time rental for us and we are so glad to have found this place. Would definitely rent again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation
We have been coming back to this house for many years and always enjoy the fishing and crabbing. So peaceful and wonderful sunsets. Also not far from beach if you want to enjoy the beach side. Owners have been good to work with every year.
