About this house rental
This property has 2 master suites; each with a bathroom and comprises the entire top floor of a two story duplex in quiet South Oceanside. It is just an 8-minute walk to a small local beach and 2 blocks from many restaurants. Over 70 5-star reviews on VRBO.
The unit has many upgrades including central A/C, 10 foot ceilings, bamboo wood floors, granite countertops, custom wood doors, and well-appointed bathrooms in both master suites. Park your car on one side of a double garage and find 4-beach bikes, 5-beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, umbrellas and a beach cart for your enjoyment. If you have two cars, you can just park alongside the garage door.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas oven, microwave, ice-maker, and all the standard items to prepare a large family meal. It is well stocked with items such as plastic bags, storage containers, tin-foil, dishwasher soap, and hand soap. Your own washer/dryer is located in the unit and laundry soap is provided.
A dedicated outside patio with lounge chairs, and gas barbecue is also provided on the ground floor. Please note that there is one flight of stairs to enter the unit.
All local and standard cable channels are provided and includes recording (DVR) capability on three-LCD TVs, located in the main living area (50 inch) and both master suites. High speed cable modem with wireless internet works throughout the entire unit.
This is the top floor of a duplex, and I try to keep a peaceful environment, so please do not book if your group is on the loud side.
FYI, both fireplaces are not operational due to safty issues with children.
South Oceanside , and just blocks to many restaurants and shops, and you will quickly see why it has a “walk-ability rating” of 74.
FYI, if larger accommodations are required, the downstairs unit in the duplex is also available with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.
Check-in is easy using Keyless locks.
If you have young children a pack-n-play, booster seat, beach toys, and a small bike can be provided on request.
Located under 1 mile from two main highways, and a few blocks to the local train, it is a great central location to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer.

This place was great for our quick stay in Oceanside. The property manager was very quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. It was very quiet in the evenings, so we got great sleep! It was very close to our son and daughter-in-law's home so made it very nice for our quick stay.

Having the bedroom with 2 beds was perfect for our family of 4 with a teen girl and teen boy. Location was excellent, both in terms of walking to places and driving. For anyone booking in SoCal the trains run through every town and Oceanside is no exception. I will say the trains we experienced were very quiet compared to some of the other rentals we’ve stayed at. We used the bikes on site, some of the beach gear, and the washer and dryer. All in good working order. Unit was exactly as pictured and very clean. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

This condo is just as pictured with everyone needed for a fantastic beach getaway! The location is great with several wonderful places in walking distance. A wonderful time was had and we are very thankful for this opportunity. Thank you!

The place was bigger than I expected based on photos. Very roomy. Wonderful accommodations. Great private courtyard.
Easy walk to South O Brewing and Vigilante Coffee. Lots of great places to eat nearby.
A real hidden gem is Buccaneer Beach and the beach cafe. Great coffees and Acai bowls. And then Friday night tacos.
And then when the day was done you come back to the perfect house to relax.

The condo is great for a family and/or friends. Everything was clean, updated and in working order. Access to the garage is a bonus. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was as advertised, large, comfortable, and well equipped. Warren was responsive and accommodating. The location was good overall. The trains were rarely or barely heard. We were near many good restaurants. Our only disappointment was that although we were near the ocean, the two beaches within walking distance were not what we expected being small, with rocky access to the water too difficult to deal with for people like us in our 70s. However, we were a short drive away from the main Carlsbad and Oceanside beaches which were much more to our liking. So not a problem. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this rental.

We enjoyed our stay. Location was great, very short drive to Legoland and fairly close to Sea World. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were very accommodating. The patio is actually much smaller than it seems on the photos, but did not matter for us since we were mostly out and about. Complimentary bikes were a nice addition. Overall, we would consider coming back.

The property looked exactly like the photos. It was spacious for 3 adults. I was very impressed by how much privacy the bedroom with two beds actually had. We all felt very safe with the double coded entrances. I was concerned about parking but it ended up being enough for two smaller cars. Overall, I would recommend this space and would stay here again if I was ever in Oceanside!

Warren and Meryl’s place was amazing - location is two blocks from the best sunset spot on the coast and roughly the same distance to coffee, food, shops and yoga. Warren responds quickly and is a wonderful host - was always prompt and helpful when I had questions or needs
The property was so lovely. Well built home - felt larger than expected with the tall ceilings and was a good amount of space for two adults and two toddlers. The area is quiet and safe. You hear the occasional train, but not enough to wake you.
The hosue had everything you’d need to live comfortably for a few days or a few months. Kitchen was clean and organized. We cooked at home most nights with ease. Access to beach gear was amazing, so we didn’t have to bring extra stuff for the kids to enjoy the sand
I cannot say enough about the space and the hosts. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

This place was perfect! I stayed here for four weeks and had three sets of guests join me. They were all impressed. The space is as pictured, comfortable and attractive. Having two queen beds in the second bedroom is terrific. There is enough room for six people. The main bedroom has an excellent desk for remote work. The unit has everything you need: the best-equipped kitchen I've found in a VRBP, three smart TVs, plenty of blankets, towels, and outdoor gear. Having an attached garage is a treat. Due to rain, I didn't check out the grill and patio, but I'm sure it would be nice in good weather.
The location is great, with good places to eat within walking distance; I recommend happy hour at Anita's and Privateer Coal Fire Pizza. I felt very safe. We preferred going to the beach at Carlsbad - 5 minutes away over O'side, also 5 minutes away. Handel's homemade ice cream in Carlsbad should not be missed, a small cone is HUGE. Taking the Coaster to San Diego, from Carlsbad is easy and the free parking is great compared to $8/hr we found in SD. I would stay here again!

Great location close to the beach. Very clean, and well maintained. The extras such as bikes, boogie boards, and all the beach equipment were a fantastic touch. The communication with the owner was excellent and he always responded in a timely manner. We will be renting from him again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. We travel a lot and often stay in rentals and this was one of the BEST experiences. The detailed instructions, the availability of the owner for questions, everything we could have needed was on-site (bikes, chairs, toys, boogie boards, laundry detergent, etc). The unit was super clean and in a great central location! We absolutely recommend this listing!

Rental was clean and well-located. Stocked with everything you could need and more (bikes, beach chairs and toys). Detailed instructions on where to park, how to access WiFi, access house and garage, etc, were very helpful. I felt safe here and so did the kids. Loved the place and would stay here again.

Special Vacation
This property was amazing. The house accommodated my family of 6. Warren provided all of our basic needs. My family and I appreciated all of the beach items that came with the house. My wife and I road our bikes every morning to the beach and had coffee at the beach. Location of the house was perfect. I felt as if I was at my own home. I will be staying at this property for another family vacation.

Had everything
I was amazed how easy renting from vrb was and the place was exactly as described. Liked the layout with open kitchen. Even the light switches were all labeled. We liked having the bikes and rode them everyday. Kitchen was stocked really well and had everything you could want. Bathrooms were nice, TV in every room. I cant think of anything that was lacking. V
Clean, as could be no complaints . We will go back there.

Good, Bad and the ugly
The good about this property is: our dog was allowed, comfortable beds, it’s a quick walk from an amazing pizza place, a few blocks from a great sunset watching beach, a large garage stocked with fun gear and a great spot in Oceanside. The bad: most of the furnishings and kitchen gear seem second hand or just old. I had hoped to do more cooking, but was turned off by the kitchen utensils. And the ugly: the walls and the windows could use a little love and the couch was stinky. So if you’re looking for pet friendly and happy eating take out, this will work.

Good value for the convenient location and sunsets
The good internet, plus a desk in one bedroom and a large dining table made working remotely convenient for two people. The location is walking distance to small markets, bars and restaurants with outdoor seating, the beach, and Buccaneer park. We enjoyed sunsets on the small patio facing the ocean. We preferred the less touristy "South O", but borrowed the beach cruisers to ride to North Oceanside harbor. The small outdoor space was great for our dog. The grill was very rusty but two of the three burners worked. Furnishings are pretty beat up and the fridge and dish washer are so old they need to be replaced. There were plenty of linens. Great parking with a huge private garage. One room is directly over another tenant and walls are thin so you can easily hear one another. The proximity to the train did not bother us. We would stay again for the good value for the price.

Beautiful and Super Clean Beach Home
This was the perfect place to stay! The house exceeded our expectations with everything we could have possibly needed from the fully stocked kitchen to all the beach toys from nice quality boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, small cooler bags, and bikes! With a short walk to the beach we really enjoyed all the amenities and extras this property had. We rented both the top and bottom and can’t wait to come back. Warren really went above and beyond to make this home perfect we highly recommend
