In addition, you will discover Mariachi shows, music, dancers, live outdoor theatre performances and more surprises as you explore the streets of Old Town on foot.
Close proximity to beaches, Sea World, downtown, San Diego zoo, Coronado, and more-- this property is central to all! The Old Town trolley offers a delightful tour of America's Finest City and departs just two blocks away.
San Diego has some of the best public transit in the country, and the public transit depot is less than a half mile away with access to city buses, light rail, Amtrak, and the Coaster, San Diego's own train commuter which travels north and south along the coast. With eight stations between downtown San Diego and Oceanside, it provides breathtaking scenery while allowing guests to explore North San Diego County. Renting a car during your vacation is entirely optional!
Cottage features two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. Wall-mounted TVs, heat and air conditioning, full upgraded bath with oversized shower, queen-size foldout sofa in living room, completely upgraded kitchen with dishwasher, coffee station, and microwave. Relax with a glass of wine and a book in your enclosed front yard surrounded by California's brilliant bougainvillea, or have a barbecue in the back with your Weber grill.
Also included is one OFF-street parking spot! Please let us know if you’re bringing a second vehicle and we’ll try to accommodate. For folks traveling with small children, we can provide a high chair and a pack and play. High speed residential WIFI is included, of course, as well as hundreds of cable channels. PLEASE NOTE: As we do have a very welcoming pet policy, please advise us ahead of time of any allergies or sensitivities so that we are able to make sure you are comfortable. Cottages are meticulously cleaned after each stay; however, some severe allergies can still be affected by the past presence of animals, so we will do what we can to remove any allergen before your stay. Thanks!

I’ve stayed in many VRBO rentals. They all have a different feel. This one feels like staying in the cottage of a relative who wants you to be cozy and happy.
Worth noting is that the beds are comfortable and the cottage is well kept. There is no dining/kitchen table but there’s a nice counter with stools for three. The hide a bed is the nicest I’ve ever seen.
Thank you Joan! We loved experiencing the walkability of Old Town with close proximity to the beach.

Wonderful location in the heart of Old Town with easy access to freeway and other parts of San Diego. Perfect little yard for the dogs. We would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this cottage during out most recent trip to San Diego. We love to stay in Old Town since we take full advantage of the San Diego Flyer (to/from airport) and the trolley/buses to all of our favorite places - SD Zoo, Petco Park, La Jolla, Seaport Village, Little Italy, and Coronado! Check-in was seamless despite our super late arrival (due to numerous flight delays outside of our control). The hostess of the mostest even offered fantastic local restaurant recommendations so we knew where to try our first dinner in the area. We loved all of their succulents outdoors, their beautiful & in bloom garden, and the homeless kitties that we waved hello to every morning. It would be a great trip if you were travelling with 3 or 4 people - master bedroom has a queen bed & 2nd bedroom has a full size bed. You can sit on the patio for a night dining in! Cannot say enough about this wonderful experience. Thanks again for accommodating us~ We will recommend your place to everyone!

Location can not be beat! You are in the heart of San Diego - Old Town - and an easy 5 minute walk to the trolley and Amtrak, both of which we used extensively. NO CAR? NO PROBLEM! Gracious property host. We would stay here again every time our group would want.

The house is beautiful and clean with everything you could possibly need. The location is incredible you can walk to tons of shops and restaurants and hike Presidio park. Ten stars would be given if possible.

Fantastic property for the three of us. Can’t beat the location. Lots of great food options within easy walking distance (and great breakfast at Keema Cafe across the street).

My husband and I stayed for a whole month with our dog, cat and bunny. We had a great time and really enjoyed the house a lot. Joan is an absolute delight and anything that comes up she is quick to respond and help. The house is cute and well equipped. We really loved the yard too. There is some street noise but it’s located right in the heart of Old Town so that’s to be expected. Really enjoyed having our own washer & dryer and sharing the driveway was fine too but the smaller the car you have the better. But that goes for all of San Diego really as parking is tough in a lot of places. Lots of great spots to walk a dog but really enjoyed going up the hill to Presidio Park. If you have the time there’s lot of fun trails up in there. Fav Old Town restaurants are El Agave and El Sueño and if you like good tequila go to Barra Barra because they have the best prices for the good stuff. My husband enjoyed Garden Coffee across the street and also the pizza is really good at Pizza Bella. Oh and I toured the other cottage behind ours and it was really cute too but only one bedroom. Maybe a little more quiet but a much smaller outdoor space. If you’re lucky enough to find this place available you’ll be glad you booked here.

We had a wonderful stay in Old Town! Joan and Dove were so gracious with our family and the dogs, can’t say enough about how comfortable we were. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, bathroom with all the essentials and there were even dog treats and toys in the living room. Yard and outdoor spaces were comfortable and enjoyed by all. Will be back!

The cottage was clean, well-stocked, and great for my wife, two kids, myself, and my father. We had all of the information ahead of time from Joan, the property manager. Joan was communicative and helpful, we could not have asked for a better experience.

House was nice, A lot of noise daily early in the morning due to business next door so no sleeping in. Parking requires planning but doable. Don’t bring a big vehicle may not fit. House was clean and comfortable. Yard needed som maintenance. But was quaint.

This was the perfect property in Old Town San Diego. Close enough to walk to everything, but quiet and secluded as well. The property manager was kind enough to letus checkin early which was .uch appreciated. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking needs, and the property was spotless. The outdoor courtyard was lovely, a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring San Diego. The privided parking space was a bonus. We will definitely be back!

This gem of a property is an awesome place to stay in San Diego. Located near I-5 and I-8, it’s easy to find and well located to get around. Old Town is busy at night, and this place is in the heart of it. However, with windows closed it is quiet. Parking included, and no extra “pet fee” is a real plus. We love staying!

Literally in the heart of old town, everything was in walking distance and all the big attractions were just a few minutes away drive time.

We really enjoyed our stay in this little house. It was within walking distance to everything in Old Town. Joan was very attentive and helpful while we were there. Only one word of caution--don't bring a large truck! Fortunately, we were able to work out parking with the other family. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Would stay here again if coming back to San Diego.

Cute property provided everything we needed for a short stay. In a great location to visit the Old Town & 10 min drive to dog beach. Off street parking was a bonus as parking is difficult in the area.

Old Town gem!
What a beautiful space to vacation! This house, as well as owners Dove and Joan are wonderful! There were 3 adults and a toddler on our trip who all fit comfortably in the house. The backyard can't be described any way other than an "oasis", with beautiful plants and even a grapevine growing along the fenceline! Joan was charming and was quick to respond when a fix was needed for a furniture issue and to answer questions, but otherwise left us to ourselves. The house has everything you would need to be comfortable. The parking took some patience and precision as it's a small driveway off a busy street, but the fact that there was off street parking at all was fantastic! We already reserved this space again for next summer and can't wait to vacation here again. Thank you Dove and Joan for hosting us, your house made our vacation spectacular!

Beautiful and relaxing
We loved this location. We could walk to historic Old San Diego. There were numerous delicious places to eat within walking distance. The home is extremely well equipped, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and dinnerware. The bedrooms both have large TVs as well as the living room. The courtyard with table seating is magical with beautiful flowing vines.
Definitely recommend.
