About this apartment rental
Amazing Frisco Location! Cozy 2 Bed/2 Bath Condo, Streamside, Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna, Walk to town!
Welcome to my home away from home on Ten Mile Creek! The Hideaway is an affordable escape to nature in Summit County for Colorado folks and others traveling from afar - only a 75 mile drive from Denver. It’s located in the Ten Mile Island complex in the charming town of Frisco and just minutes away from incredible summer biking, hiking, sailing on Lake Dillon, fishing on the Blue River, downhill and Nordic skiing (4 ski areas in Summit County) - a perfect vacation spot for anyone. The location of the Hideaway is a true highlight since it’s just a short walk to Main Street and a block away from a main year round FREE shuttle service (Summit Stage) which takes you right to Copper Mountain and other Summit County ski areas. The indoor pool, sauna and clubhouse are some of the other highlights of the complex.
The Hideaway sleeps up to 4 adults or small families comfortably in about 940 square feet. Walk into the living room featuring a cozy wood burning fireplace, smart TV, recliners, sofa, and sliding doors to the back patio. Off the living room you’ll find the dining room and a perfect little work space with shelving and a record player to add to the charm. The kitchen opens up to the living area with countertop dining on one side, all the kitchen essentials on the other. Off the kitchen you will also find a full bath with a shower/tub combo and separate sink area. When you are ready to crash for the day, the primary bedroom has a California king size bed, duvet, tv with cable and DVD, ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower and separate sink area. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, duvet, sink in the room and the sounds of Ten Mile Creek just outside the window. Antiques abound and fun little extras will surprise you.
The cupboards are stocked with all the essentials and more – from spices and teas to an Instant pot for soups and chili. The patio has a propane grill and seating to enjoy the sounds of the stream. Games, puzzles, books, CDs and videos/ DVDs are yours to use for multigenerational entertainment and fun. The smart TV has Comcast cable and On-Demand programming and you’ll have Wi Fi access in the unit for any other connectivity needs. I also am happy to share the 2 adult mountain bikes complete with helmets/locks and European baskets available for your summer and fall use. There’s nothing like a ride on the bike trails throughout Summit County!
Being just an easy walk from here to the heart of the charming town of Frisco, you can enjoy the many restaurants, shops, coffee bars and historical attractions without the hassle of parking. I’ve also compiled a dining guide and detailed list of my favorite places in and around Frisco and Summit County for you to enjoy. Away from the crowds of the large ski towns, Frisco draws you in with it’s hometown feel and natural green beauty. By car, bike, or shuttle you can easily get to the Whole Foods, Natural Grocers and Safeway for groceries and ready cooked meals.
Winter skiing is world class here in Summit County! Take the shuttle to Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge or drive to any of those along with Arapahoe Basin and Loveland ski area in just 15 to 20 minute. Vail and Beaver Creek are approximately 30 minutes drive. Come escape to my Hideaway in Frisco – you won’t be disappointed with all this home away from home has to offer!

Ideal location immediately adjacent to the Summit County / Vail Pass bike path. I stayed a month to train and acclimate to altitude before the 2024 Triple Bypass and Mt. Blue Sky bike rides. Host/owner was kind, considerate, and super accommodating. Thank you Maureen for sharing your Frisco hideaway with me!

If you are looking for a romantic place to get away next to a stream I would look elsewhere. If I was looking for a good place to bring the family along at a decent price then this place fits that. The check in process was easy and the directions from the owner were easy to follow. The place was pretty stocked. The two issues that I had with the place was the picture out the back of the stream was not very accurate and needs to be updated to show exactly what it is. You do have a steam right out back however, you are also staring into the back of another condo building with a bunch of junk out back of that condo. The other issue is that, although all of the room except the kitchen had shades on them, they were just light filtering so at night if the lights were on you can see into the condo like there were no coverings at all. We bought clothes pins to hang blankets up to give us some privacy and also to not be awoken when the sun comes up at 6 am.

Nice, cozy condo. Very quiet complex and within walking distance to Main Street shops and restaurants. Maureen was wonderful and responsive to all our questions!

Heat is a problem - never warmed up. Furniture, cabinetry is very tired. Instructions for operating TV (4 remote devices required) were supposedly on back of channel listing, but disappeared?? Thin walls/ceiling.

This place is perfect for a mountain getaway. It's located really close to the free bus to Copper Mountain. It's got loads of games for family fun. The pool and hot tub were awesome. Just the perfect place!

I really liked that there’s a code on the door, so we didn’t have to go anywhere to check in or carry keys around. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of character. Location awesome for skiing at Copper and getting rental equipment in Frisco. Thank you!

Close to downtown Frisco, we had a greet meal at Vinny’s, two hiking tail near by, ground floor and parking 20 feet from the front door, 6 mountains to ski 30 minutes away, BIG yes from us!
4.7
Good value and location near multiple ski areas and walking distance to Frisco restaurants. Unit and furniture are a little dated, but is comfortable for 4 people.

A good size and friendly owner. Easy access to Copper Mountain.

Great place. We’d come again.

This is a very difficult review to write - some good things - some bad things!! This is a very old property (probably built in the 80's) and is very very dark. There are no overhead lights (cans) and very few lights operate with a wall switch, you have to locate the lamp and then the switch. There are no lights over the sink -they are laying on top of the refrigerator. Wall outlets to recharge your devices were located in obscure places and in some cases were so old and worn out that the charger unit wouldn't stay in the outlet even with a bit of spreading the tongs. We needed some supplies from the hall closet but the door handle was so old the lock system wouldn't work. We made a trip to Walmart and purchased what we needed. Maureen immediately reimbursed us!! The front room furniture is very large and makes maneuvering around a little difficult. My right shoulder was introduced to the fireplace mantel the first time I came back into the house from the patio!! We were in the condo for 9 nights and one of the things I did not address with Maureen was a change of sheets during this time. Suggest you negotiate this before renting if you plan a long term stay.

Our family of 5 (kids ages 6-8) had a comfortable stay at this property. Plenty of room, beds were comfortable. It was nice having plenty of bathroom space, dining space, and a very well stocked kitchen for all of our needs. Location was close to town, but quiet and felt secure. Pool and hot tub areas were great, and very short walk from our front door. Laundry was an issue, as the keys didn't work initially to get in to one space, and the dryers were all broke down in the other space, but a friendly neighbor showed us how to "rig" the lock to get in. Laundry services were easy to use, and had an app to pay (rather than needing coins).
Maureen was overall a good host, but the laundry issue wasn't disclosed, and we had to request additional assistance rather than her offering options. Overall, though, we had a very nice stay and would stay again.

Was very happy and satisfied with this property. Being on the ground level can be noisy from other units, but it was VERY quiet. The condo was as advertised. Owner responded quickly to questions and any issues. Plan to return to this place next year for another memorable family ski trip!! Thank you Maureen!!!

Great location near bike path and downtown as advertised. Living room is dark and too crowded with large furniture. Very small kitchen. Lighting throughout is too dark. 2nd bedroom needs a blind . Master bedroom window not opening too hot at night in room. Asked for more fans was told no. Only 2 towels in master bathroom for 2 week stay. Owner slow to answer .

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a family reunion and it was a nice place to come after lots of time with family. The King bed was great for Tim I since we are used to one. This is a big plus as there are not many rentals with king beds. Putting another king in there would be something to think about. Thank you so much!
