Our charming cottage allows you privacy that includes a lovely enclosed courtyard.
Featuring an open-concept living and dining area, this free standing home feels both spacious and cozy. The kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked.
Each of the three bedrooms have queen beds. The three bathrooms are conveniently located near the bedrooms.
Live like a local in this private abode with a private outdoor garden, comfortable seating area and a private outdoor grill.
Offsite Adult Pool & Gym Access
We partner with an offsite resort called the Wonderer which is located in downtown Charleston, a short drive away. Our guests 25+ are able to visit the wonderer. There is a strict age policy, no one under 21 will be permitted (including the pool). Resort features : Olympic size pool (heated in winter) , Poolside Cabana (additional charge), Gym (classes at additional charge) , 2 bars , Restaurant , Private & Shared work space

The entire property is available to guests. The courtyard is enclosed and private. There is one parking place dedicated to the property right in front of the cottage. The cottage is a stand alone, one story building so guests have complete privacy. However, Jamie’s office is next door if you need help.
Our office manager, Jamie, has her office on site and is very available for questions, luggage storage and other help. However, we don’t hover and give you as much privacy as you want.
Located just one block from King Street, St. Philip Square is a collection of 6 restored historic homes with a spacious shared courtyard and outdoor garden areas that span an entire city square block of downtown Charleston.
We rate a 94 on the “walk score” which ranges from 0 to 100. Shops, restaurants and attractions are an easy walk. The routes north to Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms and south to Kiawah and Seabrook and Wadmalaw Islands or Drayton Hall and Middleton Place Plantation are easily accessed if you have a car. We guarantee one parking place right in front of the cottage. However bike taxis and Uber are a quick call away and city transportation is nearby.

REPAIRS/INSPECTION: Owner or Owner’s agents shall have access to the leased premises to make necessary repairs. Owner will use its best efforts to provide reasonable notice of any such access. 7. REPAIR REFUNDS: Appliances and amenities are not guaranteed, and refunds will not be given due to breakdown. Repairs will be made by the Owner as soon as practical. 8. SIGHT UNSEEN RENTALS: Tenant should make every effort to pre-inspect the property before executing Lease. Otherwise, Tenant acknowledges and agrees to accept the property in its condition upon commencement of the Lease sight unseen. Pictures on VRBO taken within 8 months or no changes have been made and depicted as picture. 9. LINEN: Owner shall furnish blankets, linens and towels which Tenant shall not remove from the leased premises. 10. RENTABILITY: If the leased premises is destroyed by fire or acts of God so as to be unfit for occupancy either prior to or during the term of the lease, the Owner shall return any prorated share of unused time that may have been paid in advance. The lease shall not terminate as a result of cosmetic or inoperable non-essential appliances. 11. SUBLETTING: The Tenant shall not be permitted to sublet or assign this lease agreement without the written consent of the Owner. 12. DEFAULT: Any default by the Tenant under the terms and conditions of this lease, including but not limited to the failure to pay rent, shall result in the termination of this lease at the option of the Owner and the premises must be vacated immediately with no refund to Tenant. If damage has been done to the leased premises in an amount in excess of any rent or security deposit paid, Tenant shall also be liable for any such damage. 13. CANCELLATION: All cancellations will first fall in policy as set by site. If not within those dates, all requests by the Tenant to cancel this lease must be made in writing. Upon notice of a desire to cancel, Owner shall use its best efforts to re-rent the leased premises. All pre-paid rents or deposits shall be held by Owner until the leased premises are re-rented at the full rental price. If the property is re-rented for the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents or deposits. If the property rents for less then the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents and deposits, less the difference between Tenant’s rental amount of the new rental amount. Prices are not lowered until we are a couple weeks out, at which time, we try to lower the price to allow for better chance to rent and to allow some sort of refund. 14. ACCEPTANCE: This lease must be agreed to which means, by booking, you agree to the terms and conditions of this lease. 15. SECURITY DEPOSIT: The security deposit should be considered with total rent due when considering deposit due. Deposit will be refunded by Owner and released to the Tenant after the property has been inspected and in accordance with applicable law UNLESS THE OWNER PROVIDES TENANT WITH WRITTEN NOTICE OF DAMAGE OR OTHER REASONS TO WITHHOLD A RETURN OF THE DEPOSIT WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF THE LEASE TERMINATION DATE. The security deposit shall not be deemed a limit on Tenant’s liability to Owner for any damage to the premises or otherwise. 16. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: Do not leave food of any kind outside. For safety reasons, do not sit or lean on the 2nd or 3rd floor piazza railings. Supervise children at all times while on the piazzas. Tenant and his/her guests assume all liability when occupying the piazzas. Please leave doors and windows closed whenever possible due to habitual insects and flying bugs. Any items for use with property should be listed on the site and may need a liability waiver, so waiver must be signed before use of any item on property like kayaks or water items if listed with property. 17.

The properties at St. Philip Square are in a fantastic location with easy access to restaurants and shops. It is also only a short walk to DASH bus stops. The units all appear to have been very recently remodeled and all share access to a beautiful outdoor space with plenty of seating areas for multiple groups to enjoy at the same time. The unit we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We also were impressed by Jamie's communication and responsiveness. Everything we needed to know was shared in advance and when we did have a question, we received an immediate and accommodating response.

The Cottage at St. Philip Square is ideally located off of shopping on King Street near other well maintained Vrbo properties. The fenced-in front brick patio/courtyard was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee and dine outside. Perfectly sized home for our family of four traveling together. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, full sized washer and dryer very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

This darling, immaculate, aesthetically appealing, nicely landscaped cottage was the perfect choice for our stay. The owner thought of absolutely everything a guest might need, and was very generous with her amenities. Everything in the cottage was of high quality. The decor--both the color scheme and the furnishings--made for a most comfortable visit. The shaded lot meant that sitting outside in the courtyard did not require slathering up with sun lotion. We loved that the DASH bus stop was a short walk away. We loved that plenty of things were a short walk away. The dedicated parking spot in the driveway gave us peace of mind for parking the one car that we had (belonging to the other couple who stayed with us). I would not hesitate to stay here on a future visit. I would not even look for other properties. This would be my one and only choice. We felt so welcome and comfortable.

Our family, and our labradoodle, loved our stay here! It was spacious, beautiful, cozy and comfortable, and in such a great location! The outdoor patio area was lovely, and we enjoyed spending time out there as well. We would definitely recommend this place, and would easily stay here again.

Lovely for a group getaway
Very nice for a ladies getaway. Polled the ladies and these are our comments:
Liked patio. Easy to get to King Street. Clean. Comfortable living area. Appreciated very very much that it was stocked with dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, shower gel, coffee, etc.
Appreciated the room darkening blinds and drapes, and white noise machines. Only incidental night noises from neighbors coming home from their night out.
Things out of control of the host: It was just a touch far away / long walks in the summer heat to and from the bulk of the historic homes and museums. The city free shuttle didn’t run regularly so we ended up taking Lyft much more frequently than we’d planned.

Great Escape in Charleston!
This property was just as advertised and was a great place for my friends and I to stay for a long weekend. Coffee shops, restaurants and bars are all within a block away and the patio is a lovely place to have a morning coffee or evening drink! Definitely would stay here again!

Charleston Getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was cute, charming, and well-equipped. Very clean too. It is located in a college area, so we felt safe, and it’s close to the touristic areas. We had a rental car so we appreciated the one car driveway in front of the house. Parking is not easy on the streets. We enjoyed our stay and we hope to be back!

Visiting to assist family member post surgery
The property was perfect for our needs. A family member was recovering from surgery at this property. It was ideal because the front entry was only one step up from the garden entrance. (Rare in Charleston) There was a walk-in shower and comfortable sized bathrooms. The kitchen and living were open concept so we could all be together whenever possible. Unfortunately, the weather was a little rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the spacious, fenced in garden as often as we had hoped. It was nicely landscaped which provided some privacy from the street. The kitchen. And bathrooms were well stocked which made life much easier for us as we were busy caring for our son. Another bonus is that you welcome dogs.we will definitely be back for happier occasions. We would love to take advantage of your proximity to King Street!

Lovely rental
This cottage worked well for us. It’s clean, well decorated, the kitchen had everything you’d need and some! Plenty of towels & washcloths and a lovely private courtyard to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable too.
