This space worked great for my son and I to visit Burlington. It was like staying in a museum with tons of cool sculptures and great places to chill throughout the property.
Property owner was easy to work with and respected our space.

The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with all we needed & more than expected, such as breakfast items in the fridge. The best part were the grounds, a wooded landscape, sculptures, a pond, many places to stroll or sit outside to take in the beauty & serenity.

The homeowner was very responsive when we were booking. The apartment was well equipped and clean. The private gardens were enjoyable to walk each morning with a cup of coffee. Ken’s gardens will impress you!

The "apartment", host, and the grounds were all phenomenal. Everything that you see online about the gardens is true and then some. It is an amazing place. I hope we might return one day.

Leave the real world behind and immerse yourself into a dream of a retreat house—cozy, impeccable, quirky, and comfortable, this little home is the perfect place to call your home away from home. (Warning: You might not want to leave!)
Not only is the owner easy to communicate with and very responsive, he adds warm touches of hospitality, such as a fridge stocked with very nice basics.
The home will delight anyone who loves art and fine craftsmanship. There's something beautiful or whimsical almost everywhere you look.
My favorite part is the garden, which must be experienced to be believed. It's a series of "rooms," each more delightful and evocative than the last, and includes water features, a labyrinth, sculptures, swings and hammocks, a tea room, and yoga studio. Did I mention the basketball court?
If you're going to be in the Burlington area, this home cannot be beat.

Ken was a great host who greeted us upon our arrival, showed us the grounds which were stunning and made us feel very comfortable. The location has a beautiful state park that was a quick drive to and an amazing hike. The grounds were very relaxing and restorative.

This was my second stay at Ken's amazing retreat and it was just as magical as the first time I stayed.
First off the apartment is beautiful, clean, well stocked. It is decorated exquisitely. The gardens were so interesting - fall color and transition was certainly worth seeing. (I did miss the frogs though)
Ken is such a great host - meeting us when we checked in and checking in later during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and happy.
Stay here - you will not regret it.

Everything was as “advertised” and lauded by previous reviewers, and lauded for great reason. The place is adorable - whimsical - inspiring - relaxing . . . All at the same time. Ken & Jenn are delightful. Hope we have a reason to stay again, because we’d do it in a heartbeat!!

We had a wonderful weeklong stay in Colchester. The house was just perfect fit the two of us. Ken was a perfect host (available when we needed him but not the least bit intrusive). The property itself is just remarkable, especially the big screened-in porch.

Very impressive gardens. Host met us and walked us through the property. We spent 14 days in this is a very comfortable studio with a skylight that kept it bright and cheery. A nice, screened porch where we enjoyed out coffee every morning then wandered through the multitude of paths in the 1.5-acre garden area with water fall and pond, gazebos, and fire pit sitting areas . We had friends over and they summed it up perfectly that it was like a “theme park”. The host checked with to see if we needed anything during out stay. All in all, we would give this a perfect 5-star rating.
Thank you so much to the host.

If you are enticed by the photos of the property, then be prepared for the reality of the property - it is even better in-person. My wife and I were in the area for a charity bike ride and it was a perfect place to stay and relax. The host is communicative and available. A wonderful place.

This beautiful property has to be one of the most special VRBO experiences. The host’s secret garden bursts with creativity, peace, and magic. Each of us spent time enjoying the property playing, meditation, praying, reading, and exploring. It was still close enough to Burlington to get to lots of great activities but removed enough to feel like a peaceful respite. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We have never been to Vermont, now we want to go back. There are so many things to do and this property in Colchester was spectacular. The grounds are very relaxing and serene; the screened in porch is perfect for cocktails and reading. The studio is very nicely appointed with artwork and all of things we needed plus a few more. There is an abundance of brochures and information about Vermont to aid in travel planning. The spa-style bathroom was beautiful and the added touch of fresh flowers was delightful. It's quiet, yet a short drive away and you are in the middle of bustling Burlington. Truly the best of all worlds.

This gorgeous property was just the place we needed for a weekend of rest and relaxation. The studio layout is neat and well furnished. Everything was very clean and easy to use. We loved exploring the garden and taking in the silence of the area. Close enough to Burlington for food and entertainment. Owners are very kind and accommodating as they live onsite.

We had a wonderful time. This is a beautiful property, with very comfortable and thoughtful accommodations and amazingly unique and relaxing gardens. In addition to clearly being a highly talented landscape artist, Ken is a kind and gracious host and pays close attention to detail for his guests. He met with us upon arrival to show us around and followed up to make sure we had everything we need. The snacks, eggs, coffee, juice and other treats Ken provides was a very nice added touch.

First off: Ken met us at the driveway to be sure we knew which property was his, (which was helpful because the road is tree-lined, and it might have been easy to miss his mailbox). He took us on a quick tour of the rental, and then left us to ourselves.
Second: The garden... Oh my, what a garden! It took us days to feel like we had found all of the artful treasures in the garden, but I'm sure we didn't find everything. I especially appreciated the labyrinth walking path, which helped me focus on relaxing and set the tone for the rest of our stay. The screened-in out-buildings were so comfy, with lots of inviting furniture (epecially the hammocks). There is also a lovely water feature with a fountain, and more comfy sitting areas.
Third: By the end of our stay we found ourselves spending more time at the property than we did visiting Burlington, and we're sure we made right choice... I don't think we missed anything by not rushing into town.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone who is looking for a comfy, relaxing stay close to Burlington, even if you don't end up visiting Burlington as much as you originally planned! We can't wait to visit again.

Ken has created a magically restorative spot that provided all the indoor essential elements for a restful stay. The gardens and various installations invited restful and serene spots for contemplation.

What a wonderful, magical property! Great location in the peaceful Vermont woods, located near Lake Champlain, Niquette Bay State Park, and only 10 miles with easy access to Burlington.
The residence itself is large and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is new, well stocked and very clean. The bath is large, also newly renovated and very comfortable.
The grounds. What can I say. Truly magical! Take time to explore as every turn in this lovely garden brings surprises. Asian inspired landscaping, one inviting contemplative spot after another. The whimsical art found throughout was pure joy.
A great stay, great value, you can't go wrong with this choice.

Family Reunion Retreat
My sister and I were in Vermont for a family reunion. This was the PERFECT place for us to stay. Ken welcomed us when we arrived and showed us how things worked. The studio kitchen was stocked with things that would be needed (butter, juice, cheese, eggs, wine, crackers, chocolate and even a water cooler). The studio is beautiful with many creative, artistic and thoughtful touches. While the kitchen is small it is very well appointed and worked wonderfully for making breakfast and coffee in the morning and simple dinners). We were also able to have family come over and visit us while we were there. The gardens that Ken has created are truly wonderful. He was very generous in sharing them with us through our stay. We were able to have family come and visit and find spots to tuck away for intimate chats as well as just freely explore and enjoy the beautiful space. The pictures on the site do not do it justice. The beds were very comfortable and it worked well for me who has a bad knee, with minimal stairs, while my sister, who is more nimble, stayed in the upper loft. It is very close to Burlington and there is nearby access to walking trails and lake access.. I will plan to stay here again while I'm visiting my family in Burlington.

An absolute gem!
We had such a great time at Ken's property. He reached out to us to arrange for our check-in time prior to the arrival, so he would be there to show us around. The property is beautifully landscaped. Our kids love exploring the surrounding, checking out frogs and fish in the pond. We have a fabulous time playing badminton and enjoying a fire outside. We had everything we need during the stay. The boys (6 years old) love sleeping up at the loft and the access to it is convenient and safe. We highly recommend studio JuJu as a couples' retreat or small family vacation.

The unit is situated in a unique, unbelievable garden setting designed by a professional landscape architect. It contains a koi filled pond with a waterfall, shaded trails, quiet nooks for reading or contemplating nature, basketball and badminton courts, a delightful labyrinth and assorted owner created statuary. The interior space is artistically furnished with a lovely top of the line bathroom. The unit is perfect for a short stay as long as you don't require a full kitchen. We assumed the property was closer to Burlington but certainly appreciated the privacy of the neighborhood where it was located. Sandbar State Park, Niquette Bay State Park and the hip town of Winooski are close by. We would certainly consider a return visit where our hospitable host was extremely welcoming.
