About this house rental
5 bedroom/3 bath 2,400 sq ft home in Hampton, VA near Hampton Coliseum, Mercury Central, Air and Space Museum, NASA, Langley Airforce Base, Buckroe Beach and Fort Monroe Beach. One half hour drive to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
Our living room has two couches and two chairs. There is a gas fireplace and large screen Smart TV.
We also have a full-size foldable futon couch, two queen airbeds, and three twin airbeds. Plenty of sheets, blankets, and towers! We can accommodate up to 12 guests. We have a large fenced in yard in a quiet and well maintained neighborhood. The house sits on 1/3 of an acre. We have a front porch and back porch with outdoor furniture for lounging. We also have a large screened in porch with furniture for eating and lounging.
Nearby attractions would include live entertainment at Hampton Coliseum, Boo Williams Sports Complex, Hampton University, and Christopher Newport University. You can also message us for a guidebook about things to do around town. We are located close to two airports in Newport News and Norfolk.
There are TVs in the main living room, master bedroom and in the kitchen. For children, we provide books and toys. We also provide a high chair and a Graco Play Yard.
We offer some vegetarian food items. Parking is allowed in the driveway, in the front of the house and on the left side only. There are hundreds of restaurants and opportunities for entertainment within one mile of our house. Our home is wheelchair accessible.
We are pet friendly. We allow one pet only. Your pet must be groomer before arriving at our house. There is a flat $50 pet fee charged AFTER booking. Feeding bowls and a small pet bed are provided.

All specifications from host were accurate. No issues with the property. Property is big enough to accommodate 9 guest and pets without feeling trapped. Neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

This property needs some major TLC and rodent control. Photos are very misleading!! Location and backyard are nice, but that’s about it.

The home was large enough for a grandparent sponsored family weekend
Plenty of space and the host were very kind and helpful
Welcoming donuts were a hit by everyone
If there’s any drawbacks it would be previous stays used the covered porch as a smoking area that was very noticeable.
Due to the weather we were not affected but those with sensitivity to smoking will not enjoy that optional area
Thanks to our host hospitality and we love to return on a future visit to the area

Found this house last minute for a weekend getaway. Needed a place close to
Newport News, with 4 bedrooms that allowed pets and the house delivered that and more. The backyard was huge, plenty of bedrooms with the set up being that you could make two primary suites. No complaints ya on the speed of WIFI from kids. House had all paper products, plenty of linens for both bedrooms and baths. Cabinets were stocked with dishes, pots, pans, storage containers etc which make cooking dinners a breeze. Host was extremely responsive, often within minutes. Definitely recommend

The property was very clean and well-appointed. It has lots of room for an extended family gathering. The manager was very nice and available for questions. The house is also very conveniently located to the beautiful Fort Monroe area on the water and to the trendy cafes and shops in the Phoebus downtown. Our family had a great time at our stay here.

This property is really nice and big , the location is great . We had a great time in the big backyard, grilling and playing volleyball. Jackie is an excellent host and communication was great all the time . We can’t wait to come back , Thank you Jackie . God bless you

We absolutely enjoyed the property and the stay. Very clean property and wonderful location. Highly recommend this property. My four siblings patted me on my back and said great job Eddie on picking up this location.

We stopped here for the night passing through on a trip from New England down south. The home couldn’t have been more perfect for our group - plenty of room for everyone, comfortable and clean home and the host added small additional touches that I haven’t experienced at other properties. We couldn’t recommend staying here more highly.

I very much enjoyed my stay in this house. The host also tried to accommodate me with a slightly earlier check in. She also provided us complimentary krispy kreme donuts. The home was clean and had additional helpful items in the cabinets, waters in the frig and many linens in the closet. There were minimal
items that werent as described but overall I would recommend staying here.

Ms Jackie was a great communicator! Fast responses and work with your special accommodations! We will definitely consider staying here again! We we’re visiting the area for a trip to VA beach and ride the spirit cruise and this place was close within close vicinity. The neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Overall the communication and interaction with Jackie was good. Just there was an issue with the hot water, which was attended too. Would recommend for house keeping to check furniture, kids do open drawers and there was trash in some. Screened in porch was nice.

For the price of 3 basic hotel rooms we got 5 bedrooms, a full kitchen , enclosed patio, and living and dining room. It was an excellent place to spend time between activities.

This was our first experience with VRBO and renting a property at Christmas time and we had a wonderful time! Easy booking, great location, lots of unexpected nice touches like Christmas sheets and blankets on the beds, a fully decorated tree and poinsettias. The property was clean, easy to find and near lots of restaurants, shops and fun activities.

We chose this home for a stopover on our way to the Outer Banks for a family vacation. Our party consisted of a few couples and some young adults, along with a couple of dogs. It was perfect for our needs, with several sleeping options, a couple of nice gathering spaces and the ability to have our little dogs. It's a little more out of the way than our usual stopover in Chesapeake, but it was well worth it to have our dogs and we were fortunately heading in the opposite direction of heavy traffic through the tunnel both times. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Wonderful weekend getaway
My family and I traveled to Hampton for a wedding. This house was the perfect size for all of us. They had thought of everything. The house came equipped with minor food items that are always forgotten, toys for my children, and a beautiful setup. I loved having my morning coffee on the back deck with the green grass. I loved chatting in the four seasons room with my family. I loved watching my children play in the living room and making breakfast for my kids in the kitchen. Your house is absolutely beautiful and you are so welcoming. Thank you for checking on us throughout the trip also, great communication!

The house was just OK, will my family stay here again? No..... The trash was all over the front, have not been picked up in days. When I asked the owner of the property about the trash she told me they will be there on Monday, I was leaving on Friday, we checked in on a Tuesday, so it should not have been trash. The TV did not work in the master bedroom, there was a note explaining why the TV wasn’t working, We had to be Uncomfortable with no TV in the bedroom. The walls had many marks on it, the chairs outside are broken on the deck. A broken glass window in the living room area, and when I asked her for a later check out because we could not check in on time because the cleaning lady was still cleaning.....Later than we expected, she told me no later check out......I’m a home owner myself . I would never let my guest stay in a house like this one with out getting it fixed first...I give this house a two star rating. The cleaning lady did clean up nicely, but it’s not her fault that it’s broken things in the house.

Clean, kitchen is short on glasses and dishes, no lamps in 2 bedrooms. Poor lighting in family room. We are quilters and hand sewers..need light.

Lovely house for family stay
We stayed at the property for 7 nights and were very happy with our choice. The house is clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated and cozy. It is also conveniently located just off one of the main roads. Close enough for convenience but far enough not to be bothered by noise. A shopping area is nearby for groceries and eating out. Jackie answered all our pre-booking questions promptly and fully and was easy to communicate with. Read all the rules closely. The house is strictly "no meat, fish, eggs or alcohol of any kind". You have to be prepared to accept those terms and be honest about following through with this. We did not regret it and had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Great place for a large family!
We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Jackie's property. It was a perfect house for our large family and you can't beat the location. We stayed here one night while traveling to Nags Head, NC. The kids loved the huge fenced in backyard and climbing tree. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and the house was tidy and clean. We ate dinner at a local seafood restaurant. There are hundreds of restaurants and shops nearby to choose from. An overall very nice place.
