Also without a doubt, Shoalhaven Oysters are the best on the South Coast too.
Just 100 metres down the road is the Greenwell Point Bowling Club with its really great Chinese restaurant.
The main foreshore area, which is a few minutes drive or a 10 minute stroll from Harrys, has two boat ramps and a large parking area. There are barbecues, a playground, the swimming pool and cafes. You can buy a coffee or fish and chips and enjoy the beautiful Shoalhaven River with its pelicans and boats just cruising past or take a walk along the rivers edge and throw a line in.
There are great golf courses in the area, with the new Worrigee Links just 10 minutes away or the beautiful course in Nowra.

For swimming and snorkelling there is nothing to compare with the fabulous Jervis Bay which is a short drive away.
We have river access just across the road and down lane, so dont forget to bring the canoes and kayaks.
It is only a short drive over the mountain to the beautiful Kangaroo Valley or a quick trip up the highway into Berry for some retail therapy and lunch at the many cafes. There are also many wineries in the area to visit.

Harry’s Cottage is excellent we loved our stay, it is walking distance to shops, pub and cafe, and waterfront. It was quite calming listening to the birds while relaxing in the front room. However I think a blockout curtain is needed to block that street light outside the house as the light shines through the Venetian blinds.

Lovely place to stay in a peaceful location. Beds very comfortable but no linen provided. Also no wifi available which should probably be noted on the listing. All amenities were great and the place is dog friendly and safe

Nice quiet location, handy to a shop. Cottage comfortable and clean. Dishwashing liquid almost empty and no scourers. Property manager not contactable on "emergency" number, maybe provide local contact when away? Enjoyed our stay, thanks!

We enjoyed our stay very much. A very well equipped & nicely decorated cottage with plenty of room for my husband & me and a good sized & safely fenced yard for our dog. Didn’t have to go far to walk along the riverfront. Wonderful Jim Wild’s oysters a short drive away, terrific butchers, well stocked IGA & great food & coffee at Pelican Rocks Cafe. Hope we’ll be back very soon.

We had a lovely weekend with our family away. Great location friendly neighbourhood. The cottage had a great fenced off yard for our toddler and puppy. The home was clean well-presented, comfy beds good options of indoor and outdoor sitting spaces. The home was nice and warm for the cold weather. We would definitely stay again. thank you for a great weekend.

Harry's Cottage was clean and well provisioned. There were four of us over 70 and we managed quite well. For my husband and I we were fortunate to have our friends with us as it made the stay easier and enjoyable. My husband struggles with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia, but with our friends being there, we were able to relax more.
However, they had a couple of issues trying to get into both doors. Stayz suggested using the back/side door and the owner said, "front door better". Eventually, with help from the neighbour across the road, they were able to open up and unpack their things before we arrived, thankfully. We all did struggle with having hot/warm showers. Instructions were followed regarding the solar heating, but we just had super quick showers, as the warm, wasn't warm enough. For summer time users, this would not be a problem. The mornings were quite cool and it wasn't fun knowing the shower wouldn't be welcoming.
Regardless, we enjoyed our stay and hope that in the future the two issues we had will be rectified.
Kind regards
Shelley & David Willams

The cottage is charmingly decorated with a seaside feel, updated bathrooms and nice outdoor deck and garden. Great location for exploring the area.
The two main bedrooms could do with blackout roller blinds as there is a streetlight directly outside and the white Venetian blinds do not provide much coverage. The sofa in the front room is very soft and there is a slight musky smell. There are fans in most rooms and a heater and reverse cycle AC which is great. No WiFi, though.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but the house could do with a few updates.

Owner Jill is so kind to keep a dozen of eggs in the fridge for us. Everything is great except the mobile and internet reception is limited. I guess family will have more time to enjoy dinner together.

Home away from home
Nice cozy cottage with all basic necessities. Good location to local areas, little Iga, pharmacy, Petrol station and butcher around the corner. Pelican Rocks Café has THE best food! Good size living room, only drawback is lounge is a bit low and soft if you have mobility issues. Great to have 2 bathrooms. We needed to use the hot water booster button on the kitchen wall but it was VERY cold overnight when we stayed.

Well appointed cottage in great location
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage with family and dog. Fenced yard ideal for a dog. Nice cosy living room and two bathrooms a bonus. Really appreciated Jill's flexibility in allowing us to move the weekend to avoid potential flooding.

Good cottage in terrible area
A pleasant cottage fairly well equipped. Unfortunately the roads in the area are atrocious. We damaged our car electronics in a series of massive potholes in spite of slowing to a walking pace. We left a day early and the car eventually returned to Sydney on a low bed truck. Worst holiday ever!

Perfect in every way
We absolutely LOVED staying at Harry’s. The house had everything we needed and was so comfortable in the heat and the rain. The lounge room was so snug and cosy and the enclosed verandah was a sweet sanctuary. A short drive to the beautiful beaches of Culburra and a walk to the Bowling Club or town for supplies. Will definitely stay again.
