All was okay. Not what I expected and not as promoted

The breakfast was fine
No bedside tables with lamps or to place a glass of water

Breakfast was really good. Staff was excellent. The hotel was really nice.
The bed was not comfortable at all.

A première vue le rapport qualité prix
La propreté. 5 cafards dans la salle de bain en l’espace d’une nuit… c’est inadmissible

Nothing
Everything was awful. Fridge made loud noise, bathroom door handle was broken, no handle on the outside door to get back in, so the door locked if you closed it and if you didn’t take your key you were locked out. That’s just a few of the issues. It really wasn’t a hotel. They need to revamp the place.

Everything. The place is clean, quiet and comfortable (especially the bed). The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They gave us a tour of the garden and let us try the cacao, the lime and the chili they grow there. The pool is really nice and the communal kitchen is well equipped. We were happy to use the rice cooker!

The room was a lot nicer than expected, we got a little fridge and a nice bathroom. The pool is very nice with view on the vulcano. We enjoyed our breakfast in the outside area.
We loved our stay

The location is fantastic.
The place has a pool, delicious breakfast and kind and helpful staff- we asked them for recommendations and certain attractions and services and they were happy to help.

Great place to stay, very helpful manager, who arrenged us trips and transfers. Wonderful view from the pool to the vulcano. Delicious breakfasts. I truly recommend it!
4.5
The place was clean and the location was good for us as we wanted a quiet place for our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with some ants in the room but they helped us in real time. They have a pool with a view over the volcano that we really enjoyed. Breakfast was really good to have.
The water in the pool was not great when we arrived but we noticed they cleaned it for the second day of our stay.

location was good, AC unit available, family running hotel was nice and friendly, breakfast was good. common kitchen area was nice.
hard to find because it was down a gravel road (map takes you to dead end), critters easily enter the room (had two cockroaches, a toad, and a gecko come visit us).

The apartment is big. It might be worth it if you are going there with a bigger group of people and want to save some money.
The cost is definitely too high for the place. Not worth it. Surroundings are not nice, you are in a little forgotten street far from anything. The kitchen is not really clean. The shower is not working very well.
3.5
it had a pool, was clean and the people were friendly
If you are using waze as a navigation app,
as you near the street where the property is located, it thinks it is a dead end and waze will tell you to turn around. just have people know you must continue down the street to get to the place

Basically the only positive was that after issues with our 1st room we were offered a better room (which was bigger, but still filthy). Actually there is one thing, the breakfast was ok.
Extremely dirty place, as if no one cleaned for ages! Dead insects inside drawers, living spiders and bugs in the room, leaking sink, mould everywhere. There was even an old orange rotting under the closet! Terrible even within Costa Rica benchmark. On top, the location on the outskirts didn't feel very safe.

Hugo was very very helpful. He made many suggestions and arranged attractions for us which were fantastic! Breakfast was good, and we even saw parrot while having breakfast :)
If you don't have a car, the location might be an issue. However, most of the tours are picking up from the hotel anyway. Also, we heard that the main road is very noisy so people sleep with earplugs. I'd chose the same location.

The service was nice and the little pool made it possible to cool off during the heat. It is not located in the center of town so it is more quiet
The distance to town makes it a bit harder to get in and experience the city life if that is also something you want.

nice big room with comfortable bed, friendly people, good breakfast
the kitchen could be a little bit better equipped.

Tasty breakfast
noisy house - especially water&toilet
3.0
Lovely indoor/outdoor seating area, large kitchen so able to cook own meals, quiet location in a community district, nice poolside area to relax, decent breakfast (if you like the traditional breakfast that is!) incl coffee, the hotel really kindly washed a batch of our clothes.
Rooms didn't get cleaned each day which was a shame, only one ring to cook on so had to wait for others/bit limited with what you can make, about 20-30 mins walk to town - not too far but felt a trek after doing it a few times every day, pool v small so unable to swim lengths, no choice with breakfast and a shame not to offer any of the lovely, fresh fruit.
5.0
Good welcome, kitchen facilities very handy, good breakfast in the garden, away from the town.
We loved our visit to the thermal pools at Relax Termalitas which were very good value.
All good

great apartment and lovely staff
it would be nice to get juice and coffee not only one or the other for breakfast - they were very strict about this. also the WiFi signal was not great at times but to be expected in the rainforest

breakfast was awesome and the staff is also very good. They have lots of trees and birds on the property. The family who runs is does not speak english but are very nice and made our stay pleasant.
None of the appliances in the room worked as such. They had some sort of cleaning room and sink outside the main bathroom which was an eyesore and dirty. They also have a chicken farm on the property o it sometimes smell bad by the pool. They coul dhave cleaned the room a bit better.
