Booked this for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We had a group of 7. Everyone had their own bed and there was still plenty of beds to spare! Lots of seating inside and out. Cute and quiet property. We had a great time and hope to book again in the future. Only downside was no cell signal or wifi. While it did make for a nice unplugged weekend but some of us are moms and it was hard not having contact with the kids back home.

The house was clean and neat upon arrival. The team texted us and emailed with great information. We wanted a quiet place to stay and this was perfect. A nice walking trail across the road led down to Patoka Lake and our grandchildren were able to handle the path easily.

Stated on listing was walking distance to lake a bit deceiving but beautiful views. Enjoyed it tremendously. Our pregnant gdaughter fell on the gravel thinking there really should be stepping boards coming off the back from porch swing.

Bottom line; it was very clean and we had a good time there.
The pictures flatter the conditions a bit; it is somewhat more rustic than it appears. Its comfortable, and we don't mind rustic. There are signs taped all over it, and lots of rules sent, telling you what to do and not to do, but maybe they have had disrespectful guests in the past. The local caretaker is very helpful and the cleaning person is meticulous.
A couple things to watch for: The "Evolve" management company sent us a final instructions email saying check-in was not before 5:00pm and we had to check-out on Sunday by 10:00am or get a $100 fine. This changed our plans considerably, but then the night before we arrived the local caretaker said we could have it at noon and check out at noon. . Wish we had heard that from the start. Also, be aware that the house number of the address is not the number clearly there on the side of the building. You'll find it but not be convinced you are in the right place.

Family bash at the lodge
The lodge is very clean. Communication with owner excellent. If you have your own boat, I believe there is a ramp close by. We were renting from the marina and it was a 20 minute drive to get there so be aware. Three of the queen beds were in the garage. Again, we thought it as an adventure, but again, be aware depending on your group. All in all a great place for our party.

Was a nice quiet place for are family get together. We all fit comfortably. Had a blast walking to the lake fishing and hanging out at the fire. One thing we had a issue with was the oven to cook biscuits should take 13 mins to cook took 40. Other then that definitely recommend this place to stay.

Cabin in the woods
Cabin is set up for large groups, ample parking and ample bedding. 2 living rooms so we never felt crowded. Appreciated the 2 refrigerators so that we could prechill the beverages before going to the lake. I hope the cabin never has wifi as it made the kids chase frogs and butterflies. A very pleasant trip.

Do not stay here!
This property is not as pictured! The space is large and sleeps many people. It is dark and musty smelling. The bathroom door does not close properly on the main floor. The lower level sleeping area smells moldy and is very dark with no electric outlets. The kitchen is not well stocked with supplies. There were caterpillars everywhere inside- on the floor and on the walls. There were also a few roaches. The upper level seemed to be the cleanest area. We did not think any extra sanitary precautions were done through the house due to Covid 19. There was something sticky stuck to the floor in the kitchen. The place was very overpriced for the conditions of the home. I called the property manager 3 times. I left a message twice. He returned my messages but there is no service in the house so I never actually spoke with him. He texted to answer one question but I did not get the message until we left the house. There is not a landline in the house either. We only stayed one night of the two we had booked. No one in the group felt comfortable sleeping with all of the caterpillars again.

Great get away weekend
Large and spacious cabin in the woods. We came with just couples but the cabin could easily accommodate several families with kids of all ages. The large private backyard with fire pit was a pleasant surprise, we did not see pictures of the back on line but, non the less, was glad to have the large area all to ourselves!

Remote, Rustic and Functional
This is a great place to stay with a large group. The three bathrooms accommodates everyone's needs. The upstairs room is such great inside space to gather a group. We golfed so had a longer drive to the course. But fishing, hunting or just hanging out it is more than ideal. The cabin and amenities are dated and could use some refreshing but its all 1st world problems if you choose to focus on that. Great fire pit and surrounding area to discover the woods.

" Rustic" is an accurate description .
The pros of this property are that it was clean , the air conditioner worked well to keep house cool, it will hold a lot of people and the upstairs was comfortable. The cons are that it is far from all activities, the kitchen desperately needs remodeling, and the bathroom in the " bunk room" is very rough and small with concrete floor and small shower. If you have a large group that is happy hanging out at the house or perhaps spending time at the lake , this may work for you. But, if you want to spend time at French Lick, West Baden Springs, or the wineries, it is about a 40 min ride.

Summer Getaway
Property was very roomy and offered the amenities that made it easy to accommodate 13 people for sleep and for cooking. The outside deck and fire pit made it enjoyable for our guests. The property was clean, but the back yard could have been mowed and the path to the lake was all grown up. It would have been perfect if the trail was more open, most guest didn't go to the lake because of ticks which were plentiful even with spraying. The only other drawback was limited cell phone usage and Wifi-which made it difficult to check for attractions and activities without driving away from the home to get service. All in all our stay was pleasant and everything we expected, our family get together was a great experience. i would recommend this place for future stays, but if you depend on internet/Wifi I would do research prior to your visit for activities.

Great place for relaxing retreat
We had a get-away for 6 of us and enjoyed spending our time together at the Lodge. There was lots of space for everyone with nice gathering areas, peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings, places to hike and was close to many things to do in the area. The fire pit, swing and outdoor porch provided places for conversation and the stars at night were awesome. Very family friendly place.

The house does accommodate a lot of people, you just need to be aware of how the sleeping areas are arranged to make sure it fits your group. We had a great weekend there with our family.
