About this house rental

This charming secluded Home sits on an eighteen acre wooded parcel. All while being only; one mile to the New Pokagon Band of Potowatomi Four Winds Casino, eight minutes to Downtown South Bend, and only minutes more to the University of Notre Dame. The Home features many amenities including , AT&T fiber optic internet/wifi, and has been renovated throughout with beautiful hardwood flooring on the first two floors. Featuring a back deck that is perfect for entertaining, with a Barbecue and an eight person Spa (In Season Only). The Master Bedroom has a King Sized Bed and is very comfortable with a Pillowtop Mattress and Smart T.V. with plenty of closet space and room to feel comfortable. The upstairs first Guest Bedroom features a Pillowtop Queen sized Bed and Smart T.V. The upstairs Second Guest Bedroom Features an office with a Queen Sized Pillowtop Murphy Bed, Desk, Smart T.V., The Basement has a reclining couch with a large screen T.V. and wonderful views of the Woods. This home is set into a hill which is part of the Continental Divide and is Three Stories. The ability to negotiate stairs is a must. This is a perfect environment for Entertaining with a Chef quality Kitchen, Powered Island, Modern Appliances, Double filtered water at Refrigerator and faucet, and all the gadgets (waffle maker, fryer, blender, mixer, etc.). The Kitchen also features a stocked spice rack with most of the necessities for baking, cooking, and entertainment. You will not find a place with this kind of privacy this close to the City of South Bend.

The property was amazing and Dean could not have been more hospitable! Highly recommend if you plan to hit up a Notre Dame game, the Indiana Dunes, or just to chill on the 18 acres with the amazing hot tub! We truly appreciate you sharing your home with us!

Was in town for the Billy Joel concert. Place was just a short drive to Notre Dame stadium (15ish mins). Place was very quiet and peaceful in a wooded area. Easy access and great communication with the owners. Would def stay again.

The gravel road leads to a large cleared space surrounded by tall trees. Completely private with a 3 story home in the middle. Cozy and well-furnished, this home is very comfortable.

BEWARE: dirty harmful hot tub and security cameras inside and out

BEWARE: dirty harmful hot tub and security cameras inside and out

First, there are security cameras inside and outside that were not mentioned in the listing at the time we booked (and still may not be mentioned). We found out in an email after we had already booked. Second we stayed with here with another couple and made use of the hot tub. The first night we got in the hot tub we noticed sand in the seats and entire surface of the hot tub was very rough. We could not figure out how sand got in the hot tub. The second night we used the hot tub both wives ended up with horrible rashes on their bottoms. We did some research online and found that the sand was actually algae that caused serious skin rashes. Both wives were in pain due to the rash. I called the owner and left a message (they did not answer the phone) about this. That was 08/01/2021 and as of 08/17/2021 they still have never responded to us! Both wives still have this rash and are likely going to require medical attention soon. I don't know if they are afraid of legal action or if they just don't care but we hope that no one else is affected by this!

Great Getaway

This place was an awesome escape from the city. Had everything we needed for cooking and baking for a full weekend. It is secluded and quiet and comfortable, but not terribly far from some good breweries. Would stay again!

Great secluded hangout

Six friends got together to hang out and catch up without any distractions and had a great time. The house was clean and had a great kitchen and plenty of room outside to throw frisbees, have a campfire, sit in the hot tub, and eat on the porch.

Great place to stay to get away from the city

We spent the weekend here, it's located pretty close to a bunch of breweries both in Indiana and Michigan (within an hour drive). Highly recommend if you are looking for a private weekend with some friends. Dean and Sandra are wonderful hosts! They were super helpful with any questions we had and both very nice!

A quiet weekend in the woods

The property was very clean (my biggest concern). Owners were very responsive to the few minor issues we had. If you’re looking a quiet weekend not too far from civilization, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again.

The only complaint is there was a massive hornets nest right next to the hot tub. It made the hot tub unusable. Otherwise, the house was great! We loved it!

2ND Timers

We chose to return because of the great experience we had the first time. This house is ideally located right outside of town yet minutes from shopping, restaurants, sightseeing & casino. Clean, comfortable and with everything you need to relax. Great backyard with tall trees to enjoy. Look no further you won’t be disappointed. Thanks to Sandra & Dean for opening their home to us.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Peaceful and private. Nicely stocked kitchen. This is a new rental property and there are several items that can be tweaked to make this a wonderful home to rent for ND football weekends or any other South Bend retreat.

home is secluded but only 5 minutes to town. Clean comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Owners are friendly and easy to communicate with. Will definitely stay there again.
